Abstract

Pendidikan termasuk dalam bidang pembinaan sentral manusia. Manusia telah memasuki dunia pendidikan sedari ia lahir hingga menjelang kematiannya. Pendidikan adalah salah satu upaya bagi manusia untuk mewujudkan eksistensinya di dunia. Pendidikan abad 21 tengah diwarnai dengan banyak kemajuan teknologi yang juga memberi dampak tersendiri bagi pendidikan dan usaha realisasi eksistensi peserta didik. Lembaga pendidikan dari semua jenjang perlu memperhatikan fakta tersebut supaya mampu merancang peta pendidikan yang tepat guna dan menghasilkan generasi yang mampu beradaptasi di era disrupsi teknologi. Dalam penelitian ini penulis memaparkan secara ringkas pendidikan teknologi menurut Yuval Noah Harari dan penerapannya di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur, dengan menggunakan sumber-sumber relevan dan kredibel seperti buku, jurnal, dan media massa elektronik. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pendidikan teknologi menurut Harari berfokus pada pembinaan karakter, pengembangan literasi teknologi peserta didik, serta pendalaman kompetensi kolaboratif-kooperatif dan sangat relevan diterapkan di Indonesia.

Abstract

Some individuals opt for unquestioning their faith, while others lean more toward reason and distance themselves from faith. The former extreme can lead to anarchic and uncontrolled religious militancy within society, whereas the latter extreme can result in the waning of faith. This study aims to address the placement of the dialogue between faith and reason. The qualitative method, utilizing in-depth literature, is employed for this investigation. The Encyclical Letter Fides et Ratio and the writings of Thomas Aquinas were selected as key sources to delve into this topic. The results of this study indicate that discourses about the interaction between faith and reason do not always coexist, there are times when reason is sidelined and there are times when reason is upheld as the main truth. Being a good Christian requires constant effort to have a dialogue between faith and reason. Through this process, faith is enriched by reason, while reason is enlightened by the illuminating light of faith.

Abstract

Surat 1 Korintus memberi gambaran akan perhatian Paulus terhadap jemaat Korintus. Salah satu pokok persoalan yang ingin disinggung oleh Paulus adalah mengenai rasa solidaritas dalam praktik Perjamuan Ekaristi. Solidaritas adalah semangat dasar yang terwujud dalam Tradisi Ekaristi. Akan tetapi semangat tersebut belum terlihat dalam tubuh jemaat Korintus. Penyebabnya adalah adanya perbedaan budaya, asal usul, dan status sosial yang sudah mengakar dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Perjamuan Ekaristi hadir sebagai lambang akan kesatuan tubuh jemaat yang dipersatukan melalui baptisan yang sama. Oleh karena itu, Ekaristi menjadi tindakan nyata seseorang, yang melalui baptisan, telah memperbaharui dirinya dengan semangat solidaritas sebagai kesatuan Tubuh Kristus. Hanya saja, adanya penekanan tentang perbedaan status sosial sebagai aturan bersama dalam Perjamuan Ekaristi di Korintus menggambarkan cara hidup yang tidak tepat sebagai sebuah jemaat.

Abstract

In the Catholic faith, hope is specifically defined as theological virtue. Hope is not just a psychological impulse or temporary emotion but the fruit of faith in Jesus. The finality of hope does not stop at earthly things. However, this does not mean that we should not hope for good things while in this world. The purpose of this study is to answer the difficulties of Christians in understanding and living the meaning of hope in the midst of a world full of challenges. The method used in this research is a qualitative method using literature study. Scripture texts, Church documents and the thoughts of theologians that discuss hope will be studied using descriptive analysis. The results of this study show that in facing of bitter and dark experiences in life, the followers of Christ must remain steadfast in hope. The correct understanding of hope makes believers strong in facing challenges and problems. A follower of Christ needs to direct every hope to heaven as the finality of life on earth.

Abstract

Abstract The rosary is a simple but rich form of marian devotion. This article is intended to present one of these riches, namely the term of rosary itself. Therefore, the title of this article is: “The Term of Rosary: A Metaphor”. The focus of this article is to answer the following two questions. First, what is the impact of using the term of rosary on the marian devotees? Second, how can the term of rosary have an impact on the marian devotees? In order to answer these questions, we use the critical analysis and critical dialectic on the elements related to the theme of this research. Through this critical analysis and dialectical analysis we found the following two things: first, metaphor can transforms the marian devotee’s understanding, feelings dan attitudes towards the marian devotion intended by the metaphor the rosary; secondly, for the metaphor to have an impact on marian devotees, they must first realize that the term is a metaphor not only in the broad sense, but also in the strict sense, besides that, the marian devotees must have an experince related to a rose garden (rosarium) or roses (rosa). Abstrak Rosario merupakan suatu bentuk devosi marial yang sederhana namun kaya. Tulisan ini dimaksudkan untuk menampilkan salah satu kekayaan itu, yaitu istilah “rosario” itu sendiri. Karena itu, judul tulisan adalah: “Istilah Rosario: Suatu Metafora”. Fokus tulisan ini adalah menjawab kedua pertanyaan berikut. Pertama, apa dampak penggunaan istilah “rosario” bagi para devosan marial? Kedua, bagaimana supaya istilah rosario itu berdampak pada para devosan marial? Dalam rangka menjawab pertanyaan itu, kami menggunakan metode analisis kritis dan dialektika kritis atas unsur-unsur terkait tema penelitian ini. Melalui analisis kritis dan dialektika itu, kami menemukan kedua hal berikut: pertama, metafora dapat mentransformasi pemahaman, perasaan dan sikap devosan marial terhadap bentuk devosi marial yang dimaksudkan dengan metafora itu; kedua, agar metafora itu berdampak pada para dovosan marial, pertama-tama mereka harus menyadari bahwa istilah itu merupakan suatu metafora, bukan hanya dalam arti luas, tetapi juga dalam arti sempit; selain itu, para devosan marial harus memiliki pengalaman terkait dengan taman mawar (rosarium) atau mawar (rosa). Kata Kunci: Rosario, metafora, devosi marial, Mazmur, transformasi.

Abstract

Various forms of violence still occur in Indonesia. This violence brings suffering, both to the victims and the perpetrators. Essentially, violence destroys human dignity. The purpose of this research is to answer the question of what the Catholic Church should do to combat violence and restore human dignity affected by violent acts. The method applied in this research is a qualitative method using literature studies. By employing critical discourse analysis, the thoughts of theologians and Church documents regarding the mission of the Catholic Church in the reality of violence and injustice are carefully examined. This research finds that in the face of the reality of violence and injustice that destroys human dignity, the Catholic Church cannot remain silent; it is called to promote a mission of reconciliation. The Church must strive to show forgiveness to restore the dignity of both victims and perpetrators of violence. It also must engage in dialogue with followers of other religions to address issues of violence. In these ways, the Church presents God Himself, who forgives sinners and restores their dignity.

Abstract

This research is discussing Toba Batak ulos whose application has been widely spread, not only among Batak tribes but also all over Indonesia and worldwide; especially since Hutaraja Ulos Village, Samosir Region, North Sumatra was launched. With the use of qualitative methodology, a phenomenological approach is used to find out the religious meaning of Toba Batak ulos which is integrated in garnish, colors, and the weavers. The garnish of ulos refers to the intention of the application of ulos so that it meets the wish of the giver and receiver of the ulos in accordance with its bestowed religious meaning. The colors of ulos which intrinsically flow on each ulos yeast symbolize the presence of God. The weaver as the creator of the ulos is also envisioning ulos religiosity. The transformation of ulos religiosity is revealed in the social culture which indicates the civilization concerning Toba Batak traditions and customs. Moreover, ulos religiosity is also affirmed in fashion aesthetics which has been implemented from the very beginning of the creation of ulos up to these days: we have to wear, implement, appreciate, and honor the virtues in our lives. Obviously, Toba Batak ulos has high religious and social values to unite the divine–man, man-divine, and man-man dimensions.
