Abstract

Sidoarjo has been known as the center of SMEs. As for embroidery product, price variable is the most dominant variable. The research that will be conducted is based on the previous research that has been conducted by the researchers regarding the customer perception of the characteristics of embroidery product. This research is an exploratory research. The research method that will be used is qualitative descriptive which will be quantified by Quality Function Deployment method. The Subject of this research is the customers, embroidery experts, and TTG experts. The results of the survey consists of data regarding the customer expectation on embroidery products in 4 (four) embroidery outlets in Sidoarjo. The data collected is arranged into the customer quality demand which subsequently comprised into the construct of quality performance. Afterward, the data is processed using WELCOME program and applied into an electric embroidery machinem which could produce formatted embroidery pattern. Embroidery patterns that are desired by customers are flowery type such as jasmine, rose, cherry blossom, and KAMBOJA with size in a range of 1-3 cm, which is located in a variety of places, using KESET technique, and modified into 2 dimension with beads, and the color that is preferred is secondary color such as orange, violet, and green, and the type of fabrics that is favored is cotton. In term of the technological capability that is possessed by the crafter, all demand for the customer quality construct can be satisfied. This is possible because a meeting regarding the capability and competence of the crafter has been arranged before the survey was conducted. All crafter that is surveyed in embroidery pattern and process is still manual without the use of computerized machine with embroidery pattern software.

Abstract

Performance measurement reflects the company capability to prepare the customer desired standard when in time it considers lower production and maintenance costs, higher product quality, reduced stock in process, deprived material processing cost, and shorter delivery deadline. The key to improve company performance locates at integrated effectiveness building, internally or externally, through cooperation and coordination begun with supplier-selection criteria between business partners. Supply Chain Management (SCM) requires: internal integration (intra-organization) and external integration (inter-organization). Primary key of Supply Chain Management (SCM) will be having supplier as partner in the company strategy and satisfying the always changing market demand. Therefore, a selection among company strategy options in the global competition really produces a model of dominant integration, coordination, and cooperation in controlling global market, precisely through supply chain as important element to contribute to company performance improvement.

Abstract

Mutual Fund is one investment instruments, especially for small scale investor who doesnt have many time and expertise to calculate the risk over their investment. Because through mutual fund, an investor could reliance his fund to be managed by investor management in which to be diversified broadly in order to give business advantage for the investor. Mutual fund fixed revenue is accumulative society fund which is invested in to encumber, generally in form of obligation. Mutual fund share is accumulative fund which is invested in to the combination between encumber and share with allocation that cannot be categorized in to mutual fund money market, mutual fund fix revenue, and mutual fund share. Performance analysis method for mutual fund can use risk adjusted return method, because performance measurement not only evaluated from the amount of mutual fund but also the risk that involved on it. Result of performance analysis of mutual fund in Indonesia, in year evaluated between 2004 2007 can be described as follows in general, mutual fund performance according to  Sharpe, Treynor, Jensen methods shows that in under perform position, only in 2004, 2005,2006 according to Jensen and Treynor methods shows that Schorder Prestasi Plus, Capital TRIM and  Fortis Pesona who has out perform position. Mutual fund performance that in under performance offer 2004 2007 was caused by highly return risk free condition in Indonesia. Lack of knowledge of Indonesian investor about mutual fund was the main problem.

Abstract

Objective of this research is to analysis the affect of responsiveness, assurance, tangible, empathy and reliability due to Surabaya PDAM consumer's satisfaction. The sample observed was all of the Surabaya PDAM customers at about 60 respondents, with simple random sampling. Measurement device used to measure service quality is gap analysts, multiple regression, T-test, F-test, determination coefficients, normality test, multicoliniarity test and heterokedastisity test. Based on gap analysis results, the dimension of responsiveness and empathy are having a positive gap, means that the service quality of Surabaya PDAM is already meet the customers satisfaction, but in the insurance, tangible and reliability are having negative gap, means that customers hope due to the service of Surabaya PDAM is higher than service accepted by the customers, from the quality service dimension regression test that is responsiveness, assurance, tangible, empathy, and reliability are having positive significant effect on customer satisfaction of Surabaya PDAM showed that hypothesis with the biggest affection is responsiveness variable, then empathy, tangible, assurance, and reliability, from T-test it was obtained responsiveness variables, empathy with significant number at 1% and assurance, tangible, reliability, are significant at 5%, fount = 19.140 with confidential interval 99% or n= 0,01 by entering service quality variable, this model is fit. Determination coefficient number showed 63,9% customer satisfaction variable variation can be explained by the variable from service quality dimension. Classical assumption test showed that data range is normal and do not showed multicolinearity and heterokedastisity test

Abstract

Income smoothing is an action that taken by management to decrease reported company profit fluctuation. Income smoothing practice is a phenomena that commonly happens as managements effort to reach certain aims. The purpose of this research is finding out whether there is income smoothing practice in banking industrial sector or not and identifying factors that influence income smoothing. Four factors that includes companys size, profitability, financial leverage and operating leverage will be used to identify factors that influence income smoothing index. There is separation between company that performs income smoothing and not performing income smoothing by using Eckel Index for companies in banking industrial sector that registered in Jakarta Stock Exchange. This research is involving 16 banking companies that registered in Jakarta Stock Exchange by performing 4 years experiment started from 2004 until 2007. The result of the counting with Eckel Index shows that there is 9 companies in banking industrial sector that perform income smoothing practice. The result of univariate and multivariate, in order to find out the influence of each factor, shows that profitability, financial leverage and operating leverage do not influence income smoothing (Sig>0,05) meanwhile companys size has positive influence to income smoothing (Sig<0,05).

Abstract

Indonesia is a potensial market for the product cosmetology and body treatmen. This can be seen from hundreds of cosmetic brand offered to consumers. Consumers' mind at this time has been met by a variety of ad products that beauty comes through television, radio and news media. In order for consumers to be interested to purchase products that advertising one of the ways used by the manufacturer is using a celebrity as endorser. Celebrity credibility, celebrity and brands mathcup, celebrity and audience mathcup, and the attractiveness of celebrities expected to make consumers purchase decisions.This research is conclusive research use multiple regression analysis. The sample used in this research was 103 people, which is the consumer Citra in Wates Mojokerto Distric. Research aims to understand  Aplication  of Dona Harun as Advertising endorser in Televition and Influence to Buyying Decision citra Lasting Youth hand&Body Lotion (Study at Consumer in Wates Mojokerto Distric) This research is shown determination coefficient (Adjusted R2) or 51%  it means, there is  influence simultaneously between using celebrity is advertising endorser in televition to buying decision Credibility it means variabel is more dominant in influence buying decision and followed by other variabel (attractiveness, celebrity and brand mathcup, and celebrity and audience matchup) Suggested to the researchers to do further research outside the free variables used in this research, so that insight abauot marketing communication and purchasing decision become more knowledgeabele

Abstract

Tunjungan Plaza, Surabaya Plaza, Mal Galaxy is part of a shopping mall that has a longevity brand in Surabaya, was established before the 2000th and still exist today. Tunjungan Plaza, Surabaya Plaza, and the Mal Galaxy have the outlet mall and tenant with famous brand, both brands from Indonesia and an international brand. Each of the shopping mall has a marketing strategy to build strong brand equity at the consumers perception. Brand equity may increase or decrease the value given by the shopping mall to the company or its customers. This research aims to determine consumers assessment of shopping mall brand equity in Surabaya, brand equity is measured by brand awareness, brand association, perceived quality, and brand loyalty. These results shows that Tunjungan Plaza is a shopping mall that brand awareness is remembered by most responden, most positively associated, and the highest brand loyalty, while the Mal Galaxy  is a shopping mall which considered by respondents to the best perceived quality. Overall, Tunjungan Plaza is a shopping mall which has the strongest brand equity in Surabaya.

Abstract

This research attempt to recognize what facts which influencing a consumer buying in traditional market in Malang city. Since economic crises clear away Indonesia emerge street merchants trading, merchants who trade in traditional markets. Their number bigger and bigger get along with Indonesia economic drop and stumble. From observation result indicating that those merchants able to survive until now. It mean that there are consumer who their market segment. Therefore reason above try to examined what any factors which caused consumers taking decision through traditional market as one of place to fulfil their needs. From the result of the research can be explained that consumer choose product which sold in traditional market consists of nine factor components comprise rotation yield from twenty five variables that are social solidarity factor, promotion, purchase service, guarantee and product quality. This research using factor analysis as analysis with SPSS Program.

Abstract

The companies profitability determined by the application of the right working capital policy. This research is to know the differences of profitability on the manufacturing company that using the agresive, moderate, and conservative working capital policy. The research sample are food and beverages industry then classified according 3 groups of working capital policy that was checked at 2004-2006. Quantitative method was used on this research which one-way ANOVA analysis was used to test different of profitability each company. The result indicated that the company with agresive working capital policy had lower profitability than company with moderate and conservative working capital policy this indicated contradiction with theory. The research conclusion there are not significant different between company whose applying agresive, moderate and conservative working capital policy also known that company adjusted of their applied working capital policy at period 2004-2006.

Abstract

Human resources is the most important elements in order to operating all resources on the company. And the point is ; (1) Quality of worklife is a level where the member of the organization can satisfy the important personal requirement through the experience on the task in the organization. (2) Work environment is a everything around the employee and can influence the employee doing the job. Also with (3) organizational commitment is a personal identification degree to the organization and a will to continue the participation on organization. The purpose of this research is to know about the influence of the quality of worklife and work environment to the effect of commitment organization on Agro Industrial Tool Division  PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) Gresik, and to know how great the influence quality of worklife and work environmnet toward organizational commitment of the employee on Agro Industrial Tool Division  PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) Gresik. On this research we using the quantitatif research aproach, the variable on this research is a free variable (X1), is a quality of worklife and (X2) work environment, and also organizational commitment (Y). The research sample is 68 of Agro Industrial Tool Division PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) Gresik employee. The data collecting is over observation, spreading questioner, documentation, intervewing, and book study. Data analysis doing with double linear regresion, test (F) and test (t). From the analysis result we can get double linear regresion equation : Y = 2.520 + 0.188 x1 +0.157 x2 + εi, from the calculation, the coeffisien determination value is 69.2%. 69.2% variation both of independent variable is quality of worklife and work environment. And the 30.8% is explained of the other factor that not become the independent variable on this research. Based of the test result (f), with value 3.372 > from F(0.05;2;65)  (3.14), and sign value < (0.05), with the result that H0 rejected and Ha accepted. For (t) test with value for  is 2.364 > 1.671, and value for  adalah 2.114 > 1.670. This means the influence quality of worklife toward organizational commitment can accepted and the influence of the work environment toward organizational commitment can accepted. The conclusion of this research is quality of worklife and work environment have significant influence to organizational commitment
