Abstract

In everyday life, it is often found that ships sailing in the ocean move because of the wind and rain. The event contained the concept of physics, especially the concept of fluid which can be studied based on the Qur'an and science. This study aims to analyze the relationship between physics (science), especially the idea of fluid with verses contained in the Qur'an. The method used in this research is qualitative, namely literature review. The analysis used is based on the interpretation of Al-Mishbah, the interpretation of Ibn Kathir, and the interpretation of Jalalain as well as several articles from relevant research. The relationship between the concept of fluid and the Qur'an is found in the fluid characteristics described in Q.S. Al-Baqarah verse 164, Q.S. Al-Luqman verse 31, and Q.S. Al-Furqan verse 53. The concept of laminar and turbulent flow is explained in Q.S. Yunus verse 22 which discusses the types of fluid flow that drive ships sailing in the ocean. The relationship between pressure and fluid flow rate is explained by Q.S. Al-Baqarah verse 74. In addition, there is also an explanation of the relationship between temperature, air pressure, and fluid flow by Q.S. Al-Fathir Paragraph 9 which is also stated in the concept of the Bernoulli and Gay Lussac equation. Based on studies conducted on several verses of the Qur'an, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the Qur'an and physics (science), especially in fluids, namely regarding fluid characteristics, types of fluid flow, fluid flow rates, and the relationship between temperature and pressure. on fluid flow. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dan mengkaji reaksi mereka terhadap efek pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada konduksi kalor. Preexperimental design dengan single group pre-test – post-test design merupakan pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Partisipan penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Manbaul Ulum Asshiddiqiyah 2 Batuceper semester genap tahun pelajaran 2020–2021. Pertanyaan ujian esai dan survei respon siswa digunakan sebagai Teknik pengambilan data. Berdasarkan temuan analisis penelitian, kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI IPA 2 mengalami peningkatan, dengan skor rata-rata g > 0,67 pada kelompok sedang. Kelas eksperimen dan replikasi meningkat secara signifikan, sesuai dengan hasil uji t berpasangan. Dengan proporsi sebesar 84%, tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Dengan menggunakan strategi pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing, siswa dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritisnya pada materi konduksi kalor. Dengan adanya penelitian ini, sekolah terkait menjadi terinspirasi untuk mencoba model pembelajaran baru dan tidak hanya terpaku pada model pembelajaran konvensional dengan harapan bisa meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sehingga nantinya para siswa bisa mengatasi masalah yang akan mereka hadapi.

Abstract

This study aims to reduce the number of students who have misconceptions about the working principle of capacitors. PhET simulations are used in lectures to overcome these misconceptions. Diagnostic test results using the Four-Tier Test show that an average of 41.3% of students experience misconceptions about each of the concepts tested. However, after the PhET simulation-assisted lectures were held, the average number of students who had misconceptions decreased to 6.9%. The McNemar test shows that there is a significant change in the number of students who have misconceptions about each concept after attending the PhET simulation-assisted lectures. Thus, these results indicate that the application of PhET simulations in lectures is effective in reducing student misconceptions about the working principle of capacitors. Abstract

The level of scientific literacy among Indonesian students is low and continues to decline every year. This can be caused by several things related to the learning process at school. The purpose of this study is to describe the profile of high school students' scientific literacy competence in atomic nucleus and radioactivity materials. The competency indicators analyzed refer to PISA 2018, namely: a) Explain phenomena scientifically, b) Evaluate and design scientific investigations, and c) Interpret data and evidence scientifically. This research is a quantitative approach with descriptive analysis method. The research was conducted in May 2023 in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year in one of the public high schools in Gresik Regency. The population in this study were 2 classes, namely XII IPA 4 and XII IPA 5, totaling 72 students. The sampling technique used random sampling taken from each class randomly with a total of 50 students. The instrument used was a science literacy test developed with a valid category and a reliability value of 0.492. The results of this study are the profile of students' science literacy competence obtained by 6% very low, 44% low, 14% sufficient, 30% high, and 6% very high. As for the average value of each indicator of scientific literacy competence, the average score is 67.6 with a high category for indicators explaining scientific phenomena, an average score of 50.8 with a low category for indicators evaluating and designing scientific investigations, an average score of 45.88 with a low category for indicators interpreting data and evidence scientifically. So that the overall average ability of students' scientific literacy competencies is categorized as sufficient. Keywords : Student profile, Scientific literacy, Atomic nucleus and radioactivity

Abstract

This research is survey research to analyze the needs of teachers and students for learning reference sources in the form of ebooks. This research is a part of development research, namely in the preliminary stage. Scientific literacy-based ebooks are ebooks that will be developed. The development of scientific literacy-based ebooks aims to help students understand physics material and can be used as a learning reference source besides school textbooks. The instrument in this study was a questionnaire. The questionnaire was then distributed using the Google form to high school physics teachers and high school students. Students need ebooks as a learning resource that can be opened through communication tools such as mobile phones. So that it can help students understand physics material and can learn practically anywhere. In addition, ebooks based on scientific literacy are expected to arouse students reading interest which is classified as low.
