Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) menemukan karakteristik model pelaksanaan praktikum  berbasis fenomena alam (PBFA) yang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep (PK) pada pelaksanaan praktikum fisika dasar, (2) meningkatkkan efektifitas pemahaman konsep (PK). Manfaat dalam penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat teoritis dan manfaat praktis. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah  “Pretest Posttest control group design ”,  Metoda yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini  adalah menggunakan metode R & D dengan menggunakan rujukan  alur Model 4-D yang dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan  et al. (1974) yang  meliputi 4 tahap yaitu: (1) Pendefinisian  (define), (2) Pendisainan (design), (3) Pengembangan (develop), dan (4) Diseminasi (diseminate). Berdasarkan analisis data dan pembahasan hasil analis data  dapat kesimpulan (1) Karakteristik model PBFA ditunjukan oleh fase-fase kegiatan, sebagai berikut:  1). Fase 1. Orientasi mahasiswa pada fenomena alam yang relevan, 2) Fase 2. Demonstrasi untuk mengenalkan konsep dan mengidentifikasi  variabel-variabel praktikum, 3) Fase 3. Praktikum secara inkuiri dengan panduan LKM PBFA, Fase 4. Penjelasan fenomena alam yang disajikan pada fase 1 , dan Fase 5.Refleksi, penguatan dan tindak lanjut kegiatan secara keseuruhan semua fase dapat terlaksana dengan baik (2) Model PBFA yang dilaksanakan pada kelas eksperimen dapat meningkatkan N-gain memahan konsep sebesar 60%,termasuk dalam katagori N-gain sedang, hal ini  berbeda dengan N-gain yang diperoleh pada kelas kontrol yang praktikumnya menggunakan model konvensional sebesar 3% termasuk dalam katagori N-gain rendah dan (3) Model PBFA yang dilaksanakan pada kelas eksperimen dapat meningkatkan 6 indikator pemahaman konsep yaitu: inferensi, membangun konsep, memberi contoh, menginferensi, meringkas dan menjelaskan, diperoleh N-gain dalam  interval 55%-67% termasuk dalam katagori N-gain sedang, berbeda dengan kelas kontrol yang praktikumnya menggunakan model konvensional untuk 6 indikator pemahaman konsep diperoleh N-gain dalam interval 0% - 6% termasuk dalam katagori N-gain rendah. Temuan-temuan yang dirumuskan didalam kesimpulan penelitian, memberikan beberapa implikasi, baik secara teoritis maupun praktis.   Kata kunci: PBFA, Pemahaman konsep (PK)

Abstract

Guru-guru Fisika MGMP kota Prabumulih mengalami kesulitan dalam menyampaikan materi fisika yang bersifat matematis secara daring kepada siswa. Oleh karena itu, kami mengadakan pelatihan kepada guru-guru MGMP Fisika Prabumulih untuk mengenalkan pemanfaatan aplikasi LiveBoard yang dapat digunakan dalam membantu guru untuk menjelaskan materi fisika terkhususnya materi yang berkaitan dengan rumus/matematis dan memberikan pendampingan dalam pembuatan media belajar menggunakan aplikasi tersebut. Setelah diberikannya pelatihan selama kurang lebih 2 minggu, diperoleh hasil yang menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru MGMP Fisika Prabumulih mengalami peningkatan dalam segi pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam membuat media mengajar menggunakan aplikasi LiveBoard. Hal ini didukung dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata posttest guru yang jauh lebih tinggi dibandingkan nilai rata-rata pretest.

Abstract

El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD)` are events where the phenomenon of rising and falling sea surface temperatures becomes unnatural. Stronger events where the sea surface temperature anomaly becomes large, then this disrupts local fish and bird populations. The ENSO and IOD phenomena also affect rainfall in several parts of Indonesia. This study analyzed the effect of ENSO and IOD phenomena on rainfall in South Sumatra Province from 1981 to 2020 and the correlation between Consecutive Dry Days (CDD) and Rainfall in South Sumatra Province for the last 40 years. ENSO data and IOD data were analyzed against rainfall data analyzed using a simple linear regression method and associated with CDD in South Sumatra Province with the correlation method. In addition, a correlation analysis was also carried out between the Niño 3.4 index and the Dipole Mode Index (DMI) with rainfall at two stations, namely the Palembang Climatology Station and the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Meteorological Station to determine how much influence the ENSO and IOD phenomena had on rainfall in the Sumatra Province. South. The results of the analysis show that the effect of ENSO and IOD on rainfall at each station is generally not significant. The state of rainfall in the Province of South Sumatra for the last 40 years is almost not influenced by El Nio and La Nia. This is presumably due to the location of the South Sumatra Region which is in the Munsonal area. Monsoon areas are characterized by a unimodial type of rainfall (one peak of the rainy season) where in June, July and August the dry season occurs, while December, January and February are the wet months. The remaining six months is a transitional or transitional period (three months of transition from dry season to rainy season and three months of transition from rainy season to dry season).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between learning styles and the level of thinking skills of students on global warming material in high school. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, involving research subjects as many as 69 students of class X phase E independent curriculum who are available and willing to be studied. The data were analyzed using Cramer's correlation coefficient, PHI correlation coefficient, lambda correlation coefficient, and TAU-B and TAU-C correlation coefficients. The results of the analysis are the Chi-Square count of the Cramer correlation coefficient, which is (14.399) > Chi-Square table (5.591), the Chi-Square count of the PHI correlation coefficient is (6.534) > Chi-Square table (3.841), the Chi-Square result of the lambda correlation coefficient is (38.687) > Chi-Square table (9.448), and the Chi-Square result of the TAU-B and TAU-C correlation coefficient is (33.051) > Chi-Square table (9.448). This means there is a significant correlation between students' learning styles and critical thinking skills on global warming material in high school, and the correlation coefficient still shows a reasonably strong interpretation. Students who have auditory and visual learning styles tend to have a higher level of critical thinking skills than students who have kinesthetic learning styles. This shows that there is a reasonably strong relationship between learning styles and critical thinking skills of students on global warming material in high school.

Abstract

E-modules based on the wetland context represent one of the alternative teaching materials that can support the learning process. This study aims to develop a physics e-module contextualized with wetlands using Adobe Captivate software, with the goal of enhancing its effectiveness in classroom instruction. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Lempuing. The e-module was designed following the ADDIE development model, specifically for the topic of Archimedes’ Principle. The feasibility of the e-module was evaluated in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Validation results from media, content, and language experts yielded an average total score of 90.37%, categorized as very valid. Product trials with students resulted in a practicality score of 89.9%, indicating that the module was well-received. In terms of effectiveness, the e-module achieved an N-gain score of 0.64, which falls within the moderate category. These findings demonstrate that the developed e-module is valid, practical, and effective in improving high school students’ mastery of physics concepts.

Abstract

Beberapa studi menunjukkan bahwa siswa cenderung tidak dapat menjelaskan dan mengaitkan konsep pemanasan global dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sehingga berdampak pada rendahnya hasil belajar fisika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membandingkan metode pembelajaran demonstrasi dan eksperimen dalam model PBL terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kausal komparatif (ex post facto) dengan desain perbandingan kelompok statis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 22 Palembang pada Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025 pada bulan April 2025. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 22 Palembang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purpose sampling. Sampel penelitian melibatkan 80 siswa kelas X, yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: 40 siswa diajar dengan metode demonstrasi dan 40 siswa dengan metode eksperimen selama dua pertemuan (6 JP). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal pilihan ganda yang berjumlah 10 soal materi pemanasan global untuk mengukur hasil belajar. Uji Kolmogorov-Smirnov digunakan untuk menguji normalitas data dan didapatkan bahwa data tidak terdistribusi normal (0.000 < 0.05). Selanjutnya, analisis data diuji dengan statistik non-parametrik, yaitu uji Mann-Whitney U. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0.000 < 0.05. Sehingga, bisa dinyatakan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam hasil belajar fisika antara kedua kelompok yang diajar menggunakan metode demonstrasi dan  eksperimen dalam kerangka model pembelajaran PBL.

Abstract

This research is survey research to analyze the needs of teachers and students for learning reference sources in the form of ebooks. This research is a part of development research, namely in the preliminary stage. Scientific literacy-based ebooks are ebooks that will be developed. The development of scientific literacy-based ebooks aims to help students understand physics material and can be used as a learning reference source besides school textbooks. The instrument in this study was a questionnaire. The questionnaire was then distributed using the Google form to high school physics teachers and high school students. Students need ebooks as a learning resource that can be opened through communication tools such as mobile phones. So that it can help students understand physics material and can learn practically anywhere. In addition, ebooks based on scientific literacy are expected to arouse students reading interest which is classified as low. Abstract

This study aims to analyse the proportion of creative thinking ability of MTs students on the topic of renewable energy using binomial test statistics. Students' creative thinking ability was measured based indicators of Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT): fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The sample consisted of 109 students selected from four MTs in South OKU District selected by random sampling. The research instrument was in the form of multiple choice questions which were previously tested for validity using the Rasch Item Fit Model analysis and instrument reliability of 0.55. Although not a very high value, this result can still be used for exploratory purposes in the evaluation of the instrument. The data were then analysed using the binomial test with an expected proportion of 50%. The binomial test is used because the data is dichotomous. Results indicated that the highest average score was achieved in fluency (60.54), while the lowest was in originality (22.52). Only 36% of students who can answer more than 50% of the questions correctly, while 64% of students have not managed to reach the expected standard. The binomial test results indicated that the proportion of students who were able to solve renewable energy problems creatively was significantly lower than the expected value (p = 0.004 < 0,05). This finding suggests that students' creative thinking skills are still uneven, influenced by factors such as teacher-centred learning methods, lack of practical exploration, and limited understanding on the topic of renewable energy.

Abstract

Background: Kualitas pembelajaran belum optimal karena guru-guru di Indonesia, khususnya di Kabupaten Banyuasin II, belum memiliki kemampuan yang memadai untuk membangun LMS (Learning Management System) berbasis pembelajaran terdiferensiasi. Tujuan Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Kabupaten Banyuasin II bertujuan untuk mengembangkan pengetahuan, kemampuan, dan profesionalisme guru dalam membangun LMS berbasis pembelajaran terdiferensiasi menggunakan metode Canvas. Metode: Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan melalui berbagai taktik, antara lain praktik sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan. Materi pelatihan ini disusun dalam dua bagian. Bagian pertama berfokus pada pengetahuan dasar tentang LMS, pembelajaran terdiferensiasi, dan LMS berbasis pembelajaran terdiferensiasi. Bagian kedua pelatihan berfokus pada pembangunan LMS canvas berbasis pembelajaran terdiferensiasi. Hasil: Peserta kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman berdasarkan nilai pretest dan posttest. Selain itu, peserta juga menyatakan sangat puas dengan pelatihan yang diterimanya dalam mengembangkan LMS Canvas berbasis pembelajaran terdiferensiasi melalui umpan balik dan kuesioner kepuasan. Kesimpulan: Guru SMP se-Kecamatan Banyuasin II Kabupaten Banyuasin yang mengikuti pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan LMS berbasis pembelajaran terdiferensiasi berbantuan Canvas telah mampu mencapai tujuan yang diharapkan.
