Abstract

The research objective entitled terrorism in the news frame (framing analysis of the news of the legal verdict of inmate terrorism Abu Afif on detiknews.com as the online media edition September 13 2018)was to find out how detiknwes.com as the online media framed the news of Abu Afif terrorist prisoners. This study focuses on reporting on the legal verdict of inmete terrorism prisoner Abu Afif. This research is aqualitativ content analysis research. The method used is framing analysis using the zhongdang pan and gerald M. Kosicki models. The flaming method is used to analyze the text of the media because there is a prominence of certain infotmation. Based on the results of the analysis of graming news developed by detiknews.com on the news of Abu Afifs convictions by means of: selection of news titles, selection of news sources, selection detiknews.com in highlighting news tends to play neutral and not to do analysis and sharp reviews. Framing detiknews.com raises legal issuse, and has nothing to do with politics and religion. Therefore, the frame used by detiknews.com is the legal frame.

Abstract

Facing a viral crisis like this in the same time escalation of public dissatisfaction will continue to rise can lead to a crisis of mistrust, apart from the information uproar that results in a loss of security in the community, thus the most important role in maintaining the flow of information is maintained properly is the village government , how they can control and convey healthy information, therefore the aim of this study is to look at crisis communication carried out by the village administration during the co-19 pandemic period in Air Bikuk Village. The method of this research uses descriptive qualitative, a method that wants to describe the conditions and phenomena that exist in the community by using interview observation and documentation as a data collection tool. the results of this study indicate that crisis communication conducted by the Air Bikuk village government is to convey information quickly by creating teams and command posts, to show genuine care and empathy to the village community, in their communication channels using face-to-face and banners and leaflets, their consistency is shown by always turning on the post and visiting outsiders who enter their area and openness is seen as they collaborate with various parties such as PT Agro Muko, and make banners prohibiting prayers at the mosque, for migrants.

Abstract

The news delivered is various, including news about crime. Crime is always interesting to broadcast and of course a lot of public interest and is constructed to produce interesting news and broadcast in the media, including online media. This study aims to explain and find out the discourse from the news of the case of one family in CurupTimur conducted by the online newspapers BETVNews.com, Harian Rakyat Bengkulu.comand BengkuluToday.com. This research uses descriptive qualitative method andTeunA Van Dijk's discourse analysis theory by conducting interviews, observations and documentation. The results of this study indicate that between the three media each gives an overview of the discourse of the case BETVNews.com focuses more on the chronological facts of events in more detail. Whereas Harian Rakyat Bengkulufrom the point of news is more balanced between the perpetrators and victims, it is more about how to get balanced news, and for a more flexible title, it is not limited by space and the format must be interesting to read. And finally, BengkuluToday.com reporting is made by prioritizing dramatic news writing, because this case is a criminal incident..

Abstract

The existence of volunteers helping the government convey appropriate information to the public either through social media or plunging directly into the field of conducting public communication is the background of this research, with the theme of the Existence of the Volunteers of the Indonesian Humanitarian Committee in Delivering Information on Prevention and Handling Covid-19. This study aims to describe the motivation of volunteers, volunteer activities in the field and forms of volunteer messages on social media. The methodology of this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques are by interview and document analysis. The results of this study indicate the existence of Indonesian Humanitarian Committee volunteers as the frontline in conveying information on prevention and handling of Covid-19 to the people of South Tangerang, motivated by caring for others as an effort to remind the importance of prevention and handling of Covid 19, in volunteer activities in the field, namely distributing flyers about prevention and handling of Covid-19 through food and food distribution programs, while the form of messages on social media about prevention and handling of Covid-19 is mostly done through Facebook, Instagram, website media, with various messages in the form of articles, photos, status, and messages the other.

Abstract

There are two studies in this research; achievement analysis implementation, and improvement of the future program. This study uses descriptive qualitative method, the process of extracting data carried out by the method on a number of key informant interviews and documentation of data in the field. Analysis of data using analytical subprocesses and practices: (1) reduction of data and identification of patterns and (2) conclusion and present their conclusions. Based on the survey results revealed that First: the dimensions of Program Implementation identified that (a) the program has met the criteria for program correctness. (b) Output in the form of technical assistance programs and the number of beneficiaries as many as 9294 people with absorption budget of Rp 13,649,000,000.00. (c) Short-term outcome of labor to produce as much as 11.587, 8.322 and generate as much business units. (d) There was a discrepancy implementation of the initial design of the program. (e) Barriers to implementation of the program in the form of readiness resources, regulatory support, policy environment, and disobedience bureaucrats executor. Second; On-dimensional improvement program known that: (a) mathematically program has shown optimal performance with the percentage of short-term outcome by 23%. (b) There are three program areas that are the focus in the modification, namely; repair mechanism of revolving funds, enhanced dimensional mentoring programs, and compliance executive staff in terms of both quality and quantity of personnel. (c) The development of the modification program in the stage of formulation of the draft regulations are being discussed by the government.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out cross-cultural communication of foreign tourists with local residents. This research uses an interpretive approach with descriptive qualitative methods, with techniques for collecting data through observation, interviews, documentation, and library research. From the results of the research and data analysis, it is known that Cross-Cultural communication has seven elements, including communicators, communicants, messages, media, effects/feedback, atmosphere and disturbances. The communication process between foreign tourists and local residents has not gone well because their communication process is hampered by their own language and also non-verbal errors that both local residents and tourists alike do not understand, that is what inhibits the communication process and causes communication ineffectiveness, therefore it still often causes misunderstandings between the two parties.

Abstract

Fujifilm's new strategies and innovations to attract consumers to buy in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic is the attraction of researchers to examine the Bandung Branch's Personal Selling Strategies for Fujifilm Sales in the Covid-19 Pandemic. This study aims to determine the commitment, communication techniques and how to handle complaints made by Fujifilm salespeople in increasing customer confidence. The methodology used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive study approach. Data collection techniques used were interviewees. The results of this study indicate that Fujifilm's sales force succeeded in overcoming and maintaining consumer confidence. Despite the conditions in the Covid-19 pandemic, Fujifilm's sales force continued to carry out its role even though not face-to-face but continued to communicate using communication tools, finding customers, pre-approaching, making presentations and demonstrations, overcoming objections, following up and maintaining, closing. Fujifilm salespeople maintain a good relationship with consumers and can meet the needs of these consumers while at home during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the how  visual communication of career women in fashion photos on Instagram. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using data collection and analysis techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Presentation of data involves various steps to organize and process data a career woman (subject) in a fashion photo on instagram social media, so as all the data is analyzed thoroughly involved in a single unit. The existence of shared photos by the women's career in media instagram is a real form of visual communication from them and have specific purposes. Research results show that from several photos of women fashion career researchers set as the data to be analyzed by Researchers there are different meanings in each of the photo, but Researchers assume that this is a career woman Local Brand who is able to show themessages separate from each photo fashion up to date in their instagram social media.

Abstract

Melaka is known to have historical values, even the beginning of the birth of Malaysia began in this country. Melaka is also known as the main maritime trade center in this region precisely in the 16th century. Traders from various countries such as Arab, China, India and Europe also came to Malacca to trade silk, spices, gold and porcelain. Therefore on July 7, 2008 UNECSO recognized Melaka as a World Heritage City State together with Georgetown, the State of Penang. Now, Melaka is here to offer a variety of tourism products based on 13 Tourism Product Sub-Sectors, including History, Culture, Recreation, Sports, Shopping, Conventions, Health, Education, Agro Tourism, Culinary, Melaka My Second House, Youth Tourism and Ecotourism. With the theme "Touring Historical Melaka Means Visiting Malaysia" and "Melaka Bandaraya Melaka UNESCO World Heritage" Melaka offers a variety of cultural uniqueness such as Malay, Chinese, Indian, Portuguese, Peranakan, Chitti and others. To further enhance the Melaka tourism industry, the Melaka State Government took the initiative to launch Visit Melaka Year 2019 (VMY 2019) which aims to showcase the culture and uniqueness of Melaka through "Melaka A Gateway to Historic Malaysia". This research explores forms of tourism communication in the 2019 Melaka Visit Program launched by the government, Malaysia, with a case study on tourists. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Research data collection using interview methods, involved observation and literature study. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Melaka tourism communication strategy launched by the government, through a number of communication channels, one of them through social media. The results showed that social media has a significant role in creating emotional experiences about the tourist attractions they visit..

Abstract

This study aims to determine the political communication strategy of the golongan Karya (golkar) party in regional head elections. Data retrieval techniques that researchers use are interviews, documentation, and observation. Data collection techniques by purposive sampling by taking informants as many as 3 people. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method using the positioning theory from adam nursal (andianus pito: 2013) consisting of 1) policy is an offer of work programs delivered by candidates to the pubic 2)person is a candidate who has high quality and track record 3). This party is an apolitical product that has been done by the Golkar party 4). Presentation is the presentation of work programs submitted by the golkar party to the pubic directly. The results of the research and discussion that the positioning theory carried out by the DPD golongan Karya (Golkar) party is able to take sympathy and can influence the message conveyed to the public.
