Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji perkembangan peran perempuan dalam dakwah Islam dari era klasik hingga kontemporer, menganalisis kontribusi dan tantangan perempuan dalam praktik dakwah di komunitas urban Kota Kudus, serta merumuskan model rekonstruksi peran dakwah perempuan yang kontekstual dan transformatif. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif berbasis penelitian lapangan, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi terhadap aktivitas dakwah perempuan di berbagai ruang, baik fisik maupun digital. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari tokoh perempuan di lingkungan majelis taklim, organisasi Islam, dan media sosial dakwah. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan teknik Miles dan Huberman melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, serta verifikasi dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perempuan di Kota Kudus berkontribusi signifikan dalam dakwah Islam melalui penguatan nilai-nilai keislaman, pemberdayaan sosial, dan pendekatan dakwah digital yang inovatif. Namun, mereka masih menghadapi hambatan struktural, kultural, dan psikososial yang membatasi ruang partisipasi dalam dakwah publik. Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya rekonstruksi peran dakwah perempuan berbasis kesetaraan gender, pendekatan kultural, dan digitalisasi dakwah. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar lembaga keagamaan dan organisasi Islam memberikan ruang representasi struktural yang adil bagi perempuan serta mendorong pendidikan tafsir yang inklusif dan kritis guna membentuk dakwah yang lebih kontekstual dan berkeadaban di lingkungan urban seperti Kota Kudus.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has had an impact on the decline of religion, especially seen in the moral degradation of the younger generation due to violations of norms and ethics of politeness. Nowadays, social media can be used as a da'wah weapon to spread knowledge, both in terms of academics and religiosity. For example, the Instagram account @akhlaqpedia attracts attention by sharing Islamic comics that highlight various hadiths. The aim of this research is to enrich the study of living hadith on social media, especially Instagram. The discussion regarding Instagram social media is very poorly studied. The method used in the research is library research with reception theory introduced by Ahmad Rafiq, referring to three steps, namely exegesis, aesthetics and functional. This research found that the hadith in the Islamic comic content @akhlakpedia are presented in a simple, unique, easy to understand manner and use everyday language. This has become one of the hadith literatures to increase people's piety so that they can accept the hadith and apply its contents as described.

Abstract

The development of information technology has transformed how online media shape public opinion and social meaning construction. This study analyzes news coverage of Gus Miftah's case of insulting an iced tea vendor on Republika.co.id using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. The research aims to reveal how online media form social narratives and myths through religious figure coverage. The method uses qualitative analysis focusing on denotative, connotative, and mythological meanings in three Republika.co.id news articles published on December 3-5, 2024. The findings show that media construct Gus Miftah's image as a controversial figure who does not meet dakwah ethics standards. At the denotative level, all three news articles agree on the factual events. The connotative level reveals the coarseness and impoliteness of religious figures. The mythological level reinforces discourse on the importance of religious figures' moral integrity and the sacredness of the "Gus" title. Social media functions as a moral court that tests the authenticity of religious identity. This research contributes to understanding media's role in constructing social meaning related to religious figures in the digital era.
