Abstract

This study aims to describe the use  of Picture and Picture  to improve the ability to master English vocabulary of students with intellectual disabilities grade IX-C SLB Negeri 1 West Lombok for the 2021/2022 academic year. In data collection researchers use observation, test and documentation techniques. The data were analyzed in a qualitative descriptive manner. This research was conducted in 2 cycles starting with a preliminary study. During the study, researchers found that in the pre-cycle, the level of students' vocabulary mastery ability was still low, namely 55.8% in the range of 40% - 55%. In the first cycle after students were given action with the use of  Picture and Picture,  the student's ability level increased to 61.5% and entered the medium criteria (56%-75%). In cycle II after students were given actions based on observations in cycle I, students' vocabulary mastery ability increased to 78.3%  so that it was included in the high criteria (76%-100%). From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the use of  Picture and Picture can increase student learning activities and increase vocabulary mastery

Abstract

Penelitian ini berupa Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh metode Role-Playing dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar vocabulary di Siswa Kelas VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Lobalain. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kelas VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Lobalain pada Semester II Tahun Pelajaran 2021/2022. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan model siklus dari Kemmis dan Taggart. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dilakukan melalui tahap perencanaan, tindakan kelas/pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes dan non tes berupa instrumen pemantau tindakan, soal evaluasi, dan catatan lapangan. Uji validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen ditempuh melalui expert judgement. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah adanya peningkatan hasil belajar vocabulary siswa dengan menerapkan metode Role-Playing. Persentase hasil belajar pada siklus I mencapai 73,33 % dan pada siklus II 78,05 %. Hal tersebut meningkat karena dengan persentase efektivitas pembelajaran dengan menerapkan metode Role-Playing siklus I 64,29 % dan siklus II 87,14 %. Dengan demikian pembelajaran dengan penerapan metode Role-Playing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Implikasi dari hasil penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar vocabulary yang diperoleh akan semakin tinggi jika pembelajaran dengan menerapkan metode Role-Playing semakin efektif

Abstract

The main problem raised in this Classroom Action Research is the low English learning outcomes achieved by grade VIII students of SMPN Satap Wolomapa in the aspect of speaking in English. This research was carried out at SMPN Satap Wolomapa in grade VIII, school year 2022/2023 with a total of 15 students. This research is carried out in two cycles, each cycle in research includes four steps, namely (1) planning, (2) implementation (acting), (3) observation (observing), (4) reflection (reflecting). The results obtained in this study are: 1) Results in cycle I have an average value of 79, 2) Learning Completeness in cycle I of 78%, 3) Results in cycle II have an average value of 79, and 4) Learning Completeness in cycle II of 100%. Based on research data and discussion, it can be concluded that applying the Group Investigation (GI) model to English subjects can improve classroom learning outcomes

Abstract

Masalah pokok yang diangkat dalam Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar bahasa Inggris yang dicapai siswa kelas VIII SMP Mater Boni Consili  pada aspek berbicara dalam bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini dilakukan di VIII SMP Mater Boni Consili tahun pelajaran 2021/2022 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 20 orang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus, tiap siklus dalam penelitian meliputi empat langkah yaitu (1) perencanaan (planning), (2) pelaksanaan (acting), (3) observasi (observing), (4) refleksi (reflecting). Hasil Penelitian yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Hasil pada siklus I nilai rata – rata 79, 2) Ketuntasan Belajar pada siklus I adalah 78%, 3) Hasil pada siklus II nilai rata-rata 79, dan 4) Ketuntasan Belajar pada siklus II adalah 100%. Berdasarkan data penelitian dan pembahasan dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning pada mata pelajaran bahasa inggrius dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Mater Boni Consili  tahun pelajaran 2021/2022.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to know the Jigsaw learning model can enhance on VII grade students’ cognitive learning outcomes in reading comprehension at SMPN 1 Praya Barat. It was participant classroom action research. It was done in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Subject of the research was 32 students. Instruments used were students' test, students' and teacher’s activities used observation sheets, at the end of each cycle. The research findings show that implementation of Jigsaw learning model can improve students' cognitive competence. Percentage of students' classical achievement in cognitive competence improves time by time. In pre-cycle, the percentage is 46% (not enough), in cycle I is 50% (not enough) and in cycle II is 92% (very good). Meanwhile, percentage of students' Activity also improves. In pre-cycle, the percentage is 52% (enough), in cycle I is 64% (good) and in cycle II  is 80% (very good).  From the finding, it proves that the implementation of Jigsaw learning model can improve students' cognitive competence and Activity in class VII of SMPN 1 Praya Barat.

Abstract

The research aimed to improve students’ reading comprehension by using direct instruction at second grade students VII.C class of SMPN 5 Pujut in academic year 2021/2022.  The research was classroom action research (CAR) with qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research used four steps namely planning, acting, observing dan reflecting. The subject of the research was students at second grade of VII.C class of SMPN 5 Pujut with total number of the subject 22 students. The instrument used of the research was multiple-choice test with total number of the item 25. The data analyzed used qualitative and quantitative approaches. Based on the data analysis was gotten that the average score of  in the first cycle 74,5 with classical completeness 50% and in the second cycle the average score of the students 87,5 with classical compactness 100%. Therefore, it took conclusion that there was improvement of the students reading comprehension trough direct instruction at second grade of VII.C class of SMPN 5 Pujut
