Abstract

Fish selar (Selaroides leptolepis) is one type of fish consumption that has high economic value and many caught in Southeast Maluku district waters. As an important resources, information on various aspects of fish biology is needed in order to support its management efforts. Therefore, this research is aimed to see the pattern of fish growth in Southeast Maluku waters. This research was conducted using data of catch in Sathean and Selayar village of southeast Maluku district collected during March until July 2017. The total samples of fish selar used were 877 individuals with total length size 100 t0 247 mm and means length 161.64 ± 0.82 mm and weight size 8.80 to 165.70 gram with means weight 46.39 ± 0.86 gram. The result of analysis between length and weight selar fish equation W = 0.0000008L3.044, with the growth pattern of selar fish in Southeast Maluku waters is isometric.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the shoreline changes that occurred in Ujungpangkah District, Gresik Regency, East Java. The objective of this internship practice is to know the shoreline changes with time series satellite image data from 1999 to 2015 and UAV data of 2016, also able to analyze the cause and effect of coastline changes that occurred in Karangrejo-Gresik Sub-district.The method used in this research is using Arc.Gis overlay method. The input results are then predicted by using the exponential linear regression equation. The results showed the resistance of the 2nd zone's cumulative change of -2657 meters from the zero, while the smallest change in point 2 with the change in 2030 was -2211.9 meters from the zero point. Changes of coastline in zone 2 from 2016-2030 will experience habit (abrasion) as much as 1275,5 meter. Predicted zone 3 shoreline in the year 1999-2030from 2237.8 meters, while the most change occurred at point 8 with change in the year 2030as much as 589,4 meter from zero. The result of coastline a change in zone 1 from 2016-2030 will increase (accretion) as much as 480 meters.

Abstract

This research aims to simulate the arrival time of flood from upstream to downstream by using watershed data characteristic as early anticipation step as the early warning in flood disaster management that happened in Regency of Banjar by using unit hydrograph. Data Analysis Methods used to determine the simulation of the arrival time of the flooding using the Nakayasu Unit Hydrograph method combined with the SRTM satellite image data application then integrated with the Geographic Information System (GIS) The results showed that the Martapura River Basin, Banyiur River Basin, and Jaranang River Basin occurred flow debit or surface runoff (Qp) of 7.095 m3/s. This is because Martapura River Basin, Banyiur River Basin, and Jaranang River Basin have long river characteristic of 19.46 km and wide watershed 86.97 km2. Assuming that therain is falling evenly in Martapura River Basin, Banyiur River Basin, and Jaranang River Basin, it can be simulated that flood peak (Tp) occurs after 2.20 hours and will reach downstream of the river (T0,3) after 2.75 hours.

Abstract

Aim of this research were isolation of probiotics candidate from digestive tract of Danau Panggang swamp fishes and amylolitic, proteolytic, and lipolytic enzyme activity test. Sample fishes were snake head (Channa striata), climbing perch (Anabastestudineus), and Siamese gouramy (Trichogaster pectoralis) as a refresentatif sample from carnivorous, omnivorous, and herbivorous fish. Medium containing starch, skim milk and olive oil used as selective media. Result of this research was successfully isolated probiotic candidate whom grow well and had enzyme activity from C. Striata obtained 11 isolate, 12 isolate from A. testudineus and T. pectoralis respectively. Higheramilolytic activity was C3GHDP, I3PDP4 had a higher lipolytic activity, D4SSDP1 andH3PDP had a higher proteolytic activity. Among those isolate G1PDPsp had a amilolytic, proteolytic and lipolytic activity.

Abstract

Monitoring of mangrove vegetation in the long-time vulnerable is needed to determine its conversion as the first step of mangrove management. The purpose of this study mapped the spatial distribution of mangrove vegetation and discribed the change of mangrove vegetation area in the coastal area of Tanah Laut Regency for 12 years. The method was used remote sensing and method field obeservation. The mangrove density of 2003 is dominated by medium density and by 2015 is dominated by dense density. The area of mangrove density rarely increased by 375.87 ha. The area of density is decreasing the area of 1.454,16 ha. Density of density increased by 1,639.77 ha.

Abstract

The aims of this study were to determine the level of yellow pumpkin substitution on Nile tilapia fish ball processing to improve the fish ball quality. The treatment used in this study is a different level of substitution (0, 10, 20%) respectively. The Nile tilapia fishball substituted with yellow pumpkin was analyzed in term of water, protein, fat, ash and carbohydrate content. This study uses a completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and three replications. The result showed that fish ball with 20% substitution of yellow pumpkin is the best formulation in term of water, protein, fat, ash and carbohydrate content.

Abstract

Trolling liner was a dominance used by fishermans in Sinjai Regency was made by traditional without planning before, so stability and sea keeping ability about sea condition was unknown. The research aimed to analyze the rolling motion of trolling liner in regular condition of beam seas. The research was a case study of trolling liner used by the fisherman in Sinjai.Geometry measurement vessel form was done to get a model of trolling liner and then make a redesign as a compared and then make a simulation using program Maxsurf v8.i. the result showed that the sample have a good stability. Higher rolling was 18,168 on high wave -0,1971 m and lower rolling was -18,168 on high wave 0,1971 m,while there design showed high errolling was14,102 on high wave -0,1970 m and lower rolling was -14,102 on high wave 0.1968 m.

Abstract

Dendeng sepat siam is a semi-wet processed with curing in spice solution (onion, garlic, palm sugar, salt, water, galangal, coriander, and tamarind). The purpose of this study was to determine the concentration of palm sugar (Arengapinnata) on the processing of dendeng sepat siam (Trichogaster pectoralis). This study uses organoleptic tests that include color, aroma, texture, and taste. The results showed that addition of different palm sugar concentration affect the aroma and color specifications, but not havean effect on texture and taste. The best treatment is the 24% addition of palm sugar.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and develop the potential of marine tourism in the Kerayaan Island. Data analysis is done with based on the validity of data obtained fromthe field observations which then processed and discussed in a descriptive. The results show the potential of coral reefs as marine tourism on the island is quite extensive and is categorized as still good with the biodiversity of reef fish and marine life high. Physical chemical conditions of the waters are still good and according to the criteria of quality standards for marine tourism and supported its presence among the Makassar Strait and the Java Sea as well as a Coral Triangle World (Coral Triangle). With such a location, coral reef ecosystems and their biota have very close bioecological connectivity with other areas, especially other islands.

Abstract

Presto is one the of the fish products processing by adding salt to the fish using high temperature and high pressure. The aim of this study was to know the effect of different steaming time on sepat siam (Trichogaster pectoralis) fish presto. The treatment used in this research is different steaming time (15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes) in the making of sepat siam fish presto. The result of this research showed that 45 minutes steaming time (treatment C) is the best treatment based on the organoleptic test in the specification ofthe texture and taste, but had no effect on the color and flavor specification and has no effect on chemical test for water content and protein (74.01% and 19.85%) respectively.
