The mission of the International Journal of Literature and Language Studies (IJLLS) is to provide readers with the development of language studies in linguistics and literature. In addition to manuscripts that center on the study, we welcome manuscripts on a wide range of topics relating to the technology used for language development, cultural impact on languages, computational linguistics, and philosophy of language. IJLLS publishes scholarly conceptual, theoretical, and empirical manuscripts on the study of language and focused on literature and linguistic analysis and development. Submissions to the journal should be readable and understandable by a wide audience. Manuscripts should therefore also focus on analysis or illustration of the issues covered, rather than merely providing a mathematical or technical coverage, which would be more suitable for a specialist journal. All manuscripts are submitted and reviewed electronically. We provide our published authors with both a quality publication and the widespread readership that comes from publishing all manuscripts online within a few weeks of acceptance. This approach ensures that published works are read and cited by the widest possible audience.

Abstract

The study presents a selective sorption–photometric method for the determination of Mn(II), Mo(VI), and Cr(III) ions in complex food samples. Modified cellulose-based sorbents containing organic reagents were used for selective extraction and preconcentration of metal ions. The influence of interfering ions was investigated using synthetic mixtures, and the developed method demonstrated high selectivity, accuracy, and reproducibility. The proposed approach was successfully applied for the analysis of canned and food products, providing reliable determination of trace metal ions.

Abstract

The increasing demand for effective English communication has made communicative competence one of the primary objectives of modern language education. Formative assessment plays a crucial role in supporting this objective by providing continuous feedback, monitoring learners' progress, and improving teaching and learning processes. Unlike summative assessment, formative assessment focuses on learning improvement rather than final achievement. This article examines the contribution of formative assessment to developing English communicative competence and highlights its benefits, challenges, and practical implications for English language teaching.

Abstract

Mazkur maqolada boshlang‘ich ta’limda STEAM yondashuvi orqali fanlararo absissial (gorizontal) va ordinal (vertikal) aloqadorlikni kognitiv xaritalar yordamida integratsiya qilishni o‘rganishga bag‘ishlangan. Tadqiqotning maqsadi — o‘quvchilarning fanlararo bilimlarini yanada chuqur, bosqichma-bosqich va tizimli tarzda shakllantirish uchun interaktiv kognitiv xaritalarni ishlab chiqish va amaliy tajribada sinab ko‘rish. Tajriba natijalari STEAM yondashuvi va kognitiv xaritalarning o‘quvchilarning fanlararo tushunchalarni bog‘lash, metakognitiv ko‘nikmalarini rivojlantirish va ijodiy fikrlashini oshirishda samarali ekanligini ko‘rsatdi.

Abstract

This article examines the skill of creating characters in the drama "Atlas" by Usmon Nosir. The study analyzes the inextricable link between dramatic conflict, dramatic action, and character evolution. The artistic function of the main characters of the work, Orzumand, Atlas, Nozim, and the professor, and their role in the development of the conflict are highlighted. In particular, the development of the image of Orzumand from jealousy and distrust to spiritual maturity, the steadfastness of the image of Atlas, and the function of the image of Nozim in intensifying the conflict are evaluated based on the criteria of drama poetics. As a result of the study, it is substantiated that Usmon Nosir managed to reveal dramatic characters not through the narration of events, but through conflict and spiritual experiences, and character evolution is one of the important poetic factors ensuring the ideological and artistic integrity of the work.

Abstract

The article investigates the transformational processes of network speech communication in the digital era and their poetico-stylistic representation in 21st-century Russian female prose. The aim of the work is to identify the ways of integrating hybrid Internet genres, polycode elements, and the specific syntactic organization of virtual discourse into the artistic fabric of contemporary female writing. Based on the works of L. Goralik, Ye. Nekrasova, L. Ulitskaya, and L. Petrushevskaya, the narrative strategies for representing digital speech are analyzed. It is established that network communication functions not only as a means of character speech characterization, but also as a structure-forming factor that shapes the "oral-written" nature of the text and transforms the subject-object organization of the narrative. The results obtained expand the understanding of the convergence between network and artistic discourses in modern philological science.

Abstract

Aim — to examine the relationship between access to digital technologies and the development of English language competencies among students in secondary schools in Chimbay District, and to determine the effectiveness of smart technologies in the educational process. Methods — a three-stage pedagogical experiment was conducted, consisting of a diagnostic pretest, a formative intervention, and a control posttest. The study involved 60 learners, including 30 in the experimental group and 30 in the control group. The internal reliability of the measurement instrument was confirmed by Cronbach’s α = 0.87. Group differences were assessed using a t-test, while the effect size was evaluated using Cohen’s d. The frequency of smart technology use averaged 2.7 sessions per week (SD = 0.95). Results — in the experimental group, the mean English language competency score increased from 43 points (SD = 2.88) in the pretest to 58.27 points (SD = 2.57) in the posttest, representing a mean gain of 15.27 points. In comparison, the control group demonstrated a gain of 5.1 points. Following the intervention, positive changes were observed in learners’ motivation and engagement in the learning process. The post-intervention results showed 24 learners at a high level, 28 at a medium level, and 8 at a low level. The difference between the experimental and control groups was statistically significant (p = 0.03). Conclusion — the effective integration of smart technologies has a positive impact on the development of English language competencies. The findings suggest that active learner participation, regular feedback, and well-designed pedagogical interventions are more important for achieving positive learning outcomes than the frequency of technology use alone. This approach can provide a methodological basis for competence-oriented lesson design and systematic monitoring of learner progress in English language education.

Abstract

This paper presents the conceptual design of Smart Agro Mobile, an intelligent mobile platform based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, and mobile technologies for smart agricultural management. The proposed system enables real-time monitoring, analysis, prediction, and automatic control of greenhouse and open-field agricultural environments. The architecture integrates ESP32 microcontrollers, wireless sensor networks, MQTT communication protocol, Firebase cloud database, machine learning algorithms, convolutional neural networks (CNN), Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), and Android mobile applications. Experimental evaluations indicate that the system can reduce water consumption by 35–50%, electricity usage by 20–30%, labor costs by nearly 40%, while increasing crop productivity by approximately 20–30%. The proposed Smart Agro Mobile platform represents a promising solution for the digital transformation of agriculture in Uzbekistan.

Abstract

This article examines the grammatical-semantic and stylistic features of degrees of adjectives manifested in Uzbek literary texts. It analyzes the functional potential of degrees of adjectives in literary discourse, particularly the role of positive, comparative, superlative, and attenuative degree forms in creating imagery, intensifying or weakening a particular quality, expressing the psychological and emotional states of characters, and conveying the author’s subjective evaluation. Particular attention is also paid to the linguopoetic potential of degrees of adjectives in enhancing the emotional expressiveness and aesthetic impact of literary texts. The study employs descriptive, contextual, semantic-stylistic, and linguopoetic methods of analysis. Based on the findings, it is substantiated that degrees of adjectives function not only as a grammatical category but also as an important stylistic and linguopoetic device in literary texts.
