Abstract

This article discusses the Qu’ran from the perspective of the Kejawen Islamic community and its implications in the lives of praxis. This research is a type of field research with the theory of social construction from Peter L. Berger that emphasizes the meaning and a shared-interpretation constructed in community networks. The results showed that the syncretic Kejawen Bonekeling Islamic community had its own views and beliefs about the Qur'an, not as a way of life like Muslims, but as a holy book that would be asked by angels in the grave. This view has implications for their lives. They understand the teachings of Islam in the Qur'an, such as prayer and aurat, different from Muslims in general. Prayer as sembahyang is interpreted as doing good to fellow human beings, getting along well, helping each other to help and protect the traditions of their ancestors. While regarding aurat, they do not have boundaries that must be covered, but they emphasize that the most important thing is to improve themselves first to become a good human being

Abstract

Often, Q.S al-Nisa [4]: 34 becomes a legitimacy that men are above the level of women especially in the words al-Rijalu Qawwamuna ala al-Nisa. Understanding men is a leader for women has implications for a subordination of women. Women are often regarded as second class in life. Most of the scholars also interpreted this way, that men are leaders for women. However, it is different from Riffat Hassan who was present with his reinterpretation contribution to the letter. Riffat Hassan, who is a feminist activist, criticized the interpretation of the ulemas. This article will describe the results of a study of Riffat Hassan's interpretation of Q.S al-Nisa [4]: 34. This research is a literature study, with the authors using the method of library research. The data source of this research is the work of Riffat Hassan and books or other scientific works that are relevant to the focus of writing. Based on the results of the study, Riffat Hassan's interpretation of Q.S al-Nisa [4]: 34 was much influenced by feminism. In his interpretation, he criticized previous scholars who interpreted the word qawwam as a leader. According to him if the word is interpreted as a leader, it will have implications for theology and psychology of the superiority of men over women. He offers the results of interpretation which is better if the word is interpreted as a protector and support. That way will have better implications if the view is that men are the support and protectors of women than men over women.

Abstract

One of the goals of zakat is to prosper Muslims. To achieve these objectives, the Qur'an guides the distribution of zakat, namely in the QS. At-Taubah verse 60. 8 groups are entitled to receive zakat, namely the destitute, poor, amil zakat, al-mu'allafah qulubuhum, ar-riqab, people who are in debt, fi sabilillah and ibnu sabil . In reality, there are still distributions of zakat that are not following these provisions, because there are people who are not included in the group mustahiq zakat, but he gets zakat. QS interpretation study is needed. At-Taubah verse 60 contextually, so that it can be used as a guide in the distribution of zakat in Indonesia. The theory used in this research is the theory of the Islamic Nativism (Pribumisasi Islam) of Gus Dur. The theory of Islamic Nativism tries to dialogue between universal meanings and civilizations outside of Arabia, in this case, namely Indonesia. With this theory of Islamic indigenization, the author tries to find universalism, cosmopolitanism, and indigenization in Hamka's interpretation of QS. At-Taubah verse 60 concerning mutahiq zakat. In Hamka's interpretation of QS. At-Taubah verse 60 about mustahiq zakat is indigenous of Islam. One of the natives found in the interpretation of Hamka is amil zakat, in Indonesia what is called amil zakat is divided into two, namely those appointed by the government and zakat committees formed by a group of Muslims, such as in the majlis talim, community organizations, schools, and offices.

Abstract

Abu Zayd is known as a thinker who developed a hermeneutic theory which caused him to think that the Qur'an is a human text. According to him, because the Qur'an uses cultural language and is formed in a particular cultural context, the Qur'an is a cultural product. The results of this study indicate that the concept of revelation initiated by Abu Zayd focused on the problem of the relationship between text and reality. To explain this conception, Abu Zayd described it in several approaches, such as language, culture, and history. Abu Zayd used hermeneutics as a tool to dissect ‘ulūm al-Qur’ān and show the various mistakes made by scholars. Studies carried out by the ulama so far have been too theocentric and have forgotten the level of reality that is the target of the Qur'an. Studies that are theocentric like this will cause bias because the resulting studies will tend to be ideological. While the study itself is considered as a study that is realistic and free from ideological tendencies because the research method rests on the empirical reality that will produce scientific and objective studies.

Abstract

The belief of Muslims in the religion they profess is that religion can provide guidance and solutions towards the principal problems faced by humankind throughout the ages. As a consequence, Muslims should be able to prove and elevate Islamic values in the realities of life. In Islamic teaching, the Qur'an becomes the most important manifestation. Al-Qur’an becomes the main source of Islamic teaching which has brought out many Islamic disciplines, as well as being a reference for determining and even justifying the details of the teaching. The problem of understanding and getting the meaning of the concepts recorded in the Qur'an occupies a very significant position in the discourse of Islamic thought today. Farid Esack as one of the figures who have an interest in exploring the meaning of the Qur'an prefers to use hermeneutics as one of the tools in interpreting the Qur'an. With hermeneutics, Esack believes that the meaning of the a-Qur'an can be achieved to make it always fit beyond time and space.

Abstract

The study of the characteristics of various kinds of energy in the universe has become the main source of human success, in achieving faith in Allah. One of them is scientific proof of the truth of the Koran against science that has been tested theoretically and empirically. This study aims to find a meeting point between the Koran and modern science regarding the interpretation of the cosmic verses regarding the origin and extinction of the universe. The information provided by the Al-Qur'an will remain secret, until the human mind can properly digest the information provided. Along with the passage of time and the development of science, Allah has gradually proven the truth of the Qur'anic information about the universe. The results of this study indicate that the Al-Quran has far preached the theory of the universe before modern science revealed it in a study.

Abstract

Hate speech is increasingly becoming a serious threat to the unity of the Republic of Indonesia which is very diverse. The characteristics of people in the post-truth era that are more influenced by personal opinion than reality cause their emotions and sentiments to be easily ignited which results in intolerance and strife. How bad is the Qur'an which in some verses forbids the utterance of hate speech, one of which is through verse 1 of Surah al-Humazah, which strongly denounces and cursing. This study aims to analyze the behavior of hate speech through thematic studies of the Qur'an by applying the thematic interpretation method offered by Hasan Hanafi. The reading of the text according to Hanafi needs to go through three phases namely historical, eidetic and practical criticism. From this research, it was obtained that historically the Al-Qur'an was an authentic book since it was revealed until now, its truth was believed and used as a guide to Muslim life. Through eidetic criticism, the Qur'an reveals the prohibition of hate speech even condemns it. To overcome this, synergy efforts between the government, consumers and information producers must be done in combating hate speech by adapting values in the Qur'an such as the tabayyun attitude for the community, the principles of honesty, accuracy, fairness, and others for information producers.
