Abstract

Village community empowerment is an important key in the development of sustainable tourism destinations. This research aims to analyze the community empowerment model of South Pringgasela Village, East Lombok in the development of local tourist attractions. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with research subjects including tourism village managers and tourists. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation related to tourism potential and socio-economic conditions of the community. The results showed that South Pringgasela Village has various natural and cultural tourism potentials that are managed participatively by the community through training and empowerment. The village community is very enthusiastic and open in receiving science and technology, especially related to the tourism sector. This has an impact on increasing community income and welfare. However, uncontrolled tourism activities also have a negative impact on the environment, such as pollution, habitat destruction, and increased waste. In addition, tourism development in villages is still faced with limited tourism infrastructure. For this reason, government support is needed in improving promotion, facilities, and multi-stakeholder involvement to make tourism villages a sustainable tourist destination.

Abstract

Digital tourism has grown rapidly with the advancement of information and communication technology, allowing tourists to explore destinations through digital media. One of the new trends in this field is the use of video games as a tool for tourism exploration and promotion. Some games, such as Assassin's Creed, present representations of real cities or fictional worlds that influence tourists' perceptions and encourage their interest in visiting related locations. However, there are still few studies that discuss in depth how experiences in video games can influence tourists' decisions in choosing tourist destinations. Therefore, this article aims to analyze the role of video games in shaping digital tourism trends and their impact on the tourism industry more broadly. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature review approach that includes an analysis of various literature related to digital tourism and the influence of video games on tourist destinations. Data sources consist of scientific journals, books, and research reports that are relevant to the topic. The results of the study show that video games can be an effective tourism marketing tool and provide an immersive virtual tourism experience through virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technology. In addition to opening up new economic opportunities in the tourism sector, video games can also reduce the impact of overtourism by providing alternative digital tourism. However, there are challenges in the accuracy of cultural representation and technological accessibility. Therefore, collaboration between the tourism industry and game developers is needed to create inclusive, authentic and sustainable digital experiences.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of traditional arts on the development of the creative economy in Desa Tegal Harum. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 150 traditional artists through structured questionnaires. The research employs multiple linear regression analysis to measure the impact of traditional arts on economic growth. The findings reveal a significant positive relationship between traditional arts and the creative economy (R² = 0.67, p < 0.05), indicating that cultural heritage plays a crucial role in fostering sustainable economic development. The study contributes to the creative economy literature by providing empirical evidence on the economic value of traditional arts in rural contexts and establishes a quantitative framework for measuring cultural assets' economic impact. Additionally, it identifies critical intervention points—market accessibility and financial mechanisms—that can optimize traditional arts' contribution to local economies. These insights provide actionable implications for policymakers and stakeholders in developing targeted programs to enhance traditional arts' integration into sustainable economic development models.
