Journal in Islamic Studies published by the Institute for Student Studies and Empowerment IAIN Purwokerto. Subjects include textual study and fieldwork with various perspectives on law, philosophy, mysticism, history, art, theology, and more. Initially, the journal only functioned as a print and electronic journal media that accommodated and published research results from theses/final assignments and/or part of theses/final assignments for students of IAIN Purwokerto S.1 and S.2, from multidisciplinary sciences. However, due to later developments with a wider audience, the journal has managed to invite scholars and researchers outside the Institute to contribute. Thus, Indonesian and non-Indonesian scholars have enriched studies published in journals. Although from the start Raushan Fikr did not present highly qualified scientific articles, the improvement — in terms of format, style, and academic quality — never stopped. Now with articles written in Indonesian, Arabic and English and with fair peer-review procedures, Raushan Fikr continues to publish research and studies related to Islamic studies with various dimensions and approaches. Raushan Fikr, published twice a year (1 volume and 2 numbers) in January and July, has always placed Islam and Muslims in the main focus of academic inquiry and invited comprehensive observations on Islam as a theological belief and system of society and Muslims as those who practice religion with many sides. This journal, serving as a forum for Islamic studies in Indonesia and other parts of the world in a local and challenging global context, supports theme-focused studies and interdisciplinary studies. Raushan Fikr has become a medium for diffusion and exchange of ideas and research findings, in such a way that researchers, writers and readers from various learning traditions have interacted in a scientific way.

This paper examines the role of Islamic higher education students in answering the problems of community life, especially in the field of religion. Technological advances have a major impact on the spread of information on social media. In social media in the postmodern era, people are flooded with a variety of information that cannot be guaranteed. So that the active role of Islamic university students is needed to filter information related to religion. In reviewing this, quantitative and qualitative research is carried out by observing, interviewing and documenting studies. This research is devoted to the practice of the field on social media which is used as a place to appreciate daâ€™wah. Social media is in the form of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and even communication media like WhatsApp. From this research, the results obtained that social media can be a supporting tool for preaching. This can be used by students of Islamic universities in Indonesia. Especially students majoring in Interpretation to preach in the crowd. In addition, their preaching on social media can be the right reference, namely to answer the daily problems of the people in Indonesia.

The mass media, as an integral part of life, has become a blessing as well as a challenge to human life in the information society era. No exception for Muslims who live and become part of the information society at this time. The holy Qurâ€™an which is believed to be the guide of life throughout the ages should be understood and explored by various disciplines of science. The universal values in the Qurâ€™an can not only be highlighted by the doctrinal and theological perspectives of the norm, but also with the point of view of social science, one of them with the approach of mass communication. This paper explores surah Al-Hujurat verse 6 then explores it with a mass communication study approach. From the results of exploratioining and understanding to the interpretation of the scholars on surah Al-Hujurat verse 6 and various literature on mass communication, especially in mass media studies, it can be concluded that Surah Al-hujurat verse 6 contains various values and knowledge of how to respond the mass media today, The concept of knowing the news carrier, Tabayyunâ€™s attitude, and the attention to the impact of the news in this chapter is in harmony with the study of mass communication in which there are theories about criticism of media, media texts and the effects of the mass media.

This paper examines the content of the propaganda of Hanan Attaki on social media in an effort to spread goodness and religious messages, especially about divinity among young people. By using content analysis method, this paper attempts to describe in depth the contents of the information being reviewed, namely Hanan Attakiâ€™s youtube post with the theme â€œAllah Kangen Sera Hisâ€ published on December 6, 2017. This paper explains that in terms of content, the conception of God what was built by Hanan Attaki must be based on three interrelated aspects: 1) deep faith insight, 2) correct perception of God and 3) emotional aspects (faith) in the form of longing, missed, and ashamed of God. These three aspects of God must be in line with the true insight of God according to Islam. At the next stage, this perception must be manifested in the form of deep emotions towards God in the form of longing to do good and shame in doing evil. This paper also explains that Hanan Attakiâ€™s â€œKangenâ€ video content has received positive responses from netizens, especially among young people with high popularity (share, like, comment). The lively preaching carried out by Hanan Attaki on social media is able to build public perceptions, especially the millennial generation, about God in a simple way. This was supported by his distinctive rhetoric, style of language, voice and gestures and also a more relaxed and slender way of dressing to compensate for the dominant young children.

The mental revolution changes the perspective, thoughts, attitudes and behaviors that are oriented towards progress and modernity, so that it becomes a great nation and is able to compete with other nations in the world. Mental Revolution becomes a word that can make us realize that there are important things that need to be improved in the mentality of the people of this nation. We learn from several other countries in achieving economic progress but still maintain local local wisdom. Hard work, social spirit, nationalism, love of the country and love of domestic products are positive things that are important for us to realize. Building a good mentality can be realized with multicultural values education, which covers things such as, culture, ethnicity, gender, social and religion that tend to be more comprehensive for the typical Indonesian people in this study to present ways that can revolutionize the nationâ€™s mental Indonesia has become more broad-minded and has strong thinking, with diverse Multicultural values in Indonesia. This study uses descriptive method of literature review. Seeing the situation in this age from research conducted by changing the perspective, attitude and behavior, mental, etc., which is oriented towards the progress of the nation is better expected from multicultural values.

The face of education in Indonesia at this time has been tarnished because of the failed products that have been produced. For example, there are many rampant corruptors around us. They are people who are highly educated,but have low conscience. Not only did the product fail, but in the process of education it also failed. We can see it from the relationship between educators, students, and parents who should support each other instead of blaming each other. Finally, education which should be a problem solver for the problems that arise, instead becomes a trouble maker in this country. This is what indicates that something is wrong with our education so far. Therefore, this paper will examine the learning resources at the time of the Prophet Muhammad SAW as a mirror of introspection for better education. As we know, the learning resources that existed at the time of the Prophet Muhammad were very limited, but could produce education that hacked into all the problems that existed in his day. This is different from the education of the present era whose learning resources are all sophisticated, but have not produced good education. With a literature review, the authors hope that writing can contribute to education in Indonesia to be even better.

Tradition as a local wisdom of an area becomes part of ancestral cultural heritage that is important to be preserved and its meaning explored. Broken tradition in the village of Arjowinganun, Puring, Kebumen is a slametan pregnancy tradition of two or more women who have brotherly ties. This tradition has seven main symbols, namely Friday, wingka, crossroads, krawu gedhang raja, muddy lumbu, paruk and split up. The seven symbols that after interpreting their meaning using Victor Turnerâ€™s symbol interpretation theory revealed that each symbol has noble values and moral messages that are in harmony with Islamic teachings. Broken traditions are generally held on Friday located at crossroads. The practice of this tradition is the sale and purchase menu of ready-to-eat food consisting of white rice, krawu gedhang raja, muddy lumbu and complementary side dishes with banana leaf wrappers, a means of paying legitimate sale and purchase transactions namely wingka or stone. Alignment of moral messages in the tradition of breaking up with Islamic teachings is found in the teachings of always praying and praying for good, being a person who is moral, useful, has a high social spirit, draws closer to God and gives advice to charity.

This study aims to describe the values of character education in the film Kung Fu Panda and its relevance with Islamic education. This research is qualitative research using descriptive method. The data is taken from the character's dialogue in particular intercultural dialogue involving the main characters. That data is then described and analysed. This research focuses on the educational value of the character in the film.. This research found several values character education that is religious, honest, discipline, hard work, creative, democratic, curiosity, love of the motherland, social care, and responsibility. Values that are relevant to the purpose of the concept of Islamic religious education in shaping attitudes, terpuju (mahmudah morals).

This study aims to describe and analyze it critical about the implementation of the development of children's spiritual intelligence through habituation methods at SD Islam Plus Masyithoh Kroya, Cilacap district. This type of research is field research or field research. This research is presented in descriptive form with the aim to describe a process that occurs in the field. While the approach taken is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used: observation, interviews, and documentation. While the data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman Model, which consists of: Data Reduction, Data Display and Verification (Conclusion Drawing). The results of this study found that the forms of development of children's spiritual intelligence through habituation methods at SD Islam Plus Masyithoh Kroya were divided into two activities, namely: first, programmed habituation activities, including extracurricular activities scheduled every Saturday namely extracurricular tilawah, tambourine and calligraphy . In addition, outdoor learning, activities that have been scheduled each year for grade 5 (five) students, are religious tourism. Second, habituation activities are not programmed in the development of children's spiritual intelligence through habituation methods. a) routine activities, carried out continuously and scheduled. The routine activities include: morning munajat activities (asmaul husna, daily prayers, tartil juz 30, and memorizing selected hadith) which are carried out before teaching and learning activities, dhuha prayer, dzuhur prayer in congregation, and social service activities, b) spontaneous namely activities that occur when experiencing special events. In this case the spontaneous activities carried out included: greeting, apologizing before asking for help, always dhikr, and thanking, c) exemplary is a habituation activity shown by the teacher in daily actions. Exemplary here is shown by the performance of the teacher both in the classroom providing subject matter as well as outside the classroom.

Religion is something that is inherent in one's belief, everyone has the right to choose what religion they will follow, in the Al-Qur'an the verse al-Hujurat verse 13 also has been mentioned that diversity is something absolute and natural for all humans. In this study, the author will discuss pluralism in Canggal Hamlet, where the community is a multicultural society. Not only Islam, in Canggal Hamlet there are also other religions such as Christianity, Catholicism, Hinduism and Buddhism. What's interesting to discuss here is that they can live side by side in harmony and peace. From the research carried out, it can be concluded that in generaliser, the concept of harmonious and tolerant life in Canggal village is to assume that the difference is not always synonymous with conflict, disagreement, the assumption that the self is the most right, but rather a sense of brotherhood, putting aside selfishness, and respect each other.

Discussions about LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) in Indonesia do not seem to only begin to be serious but also look to crush tolerance. Seriously because various media often take up the theme, even Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC), one of the favorite talkshow programs in the country, to discuss it several times. Interestingly, those who voiced tolerance, both pro and contra, were even more arrogant and forgot the essence of tolerance itself. This is where tolerance appears to be being tested and questioned. The purpose of this paper is to examine the dialectic of the crisis of tolerance in Indonesia in 2017 by clarifying the interpretation of the Qur'an that discusses LGBT. While this writing method is descriptive analytical using media analysis, which focuses on 2017 ILC shows, especially those related to LGBT. The results of this study provide a solution that reminds the Indonesian people, that tolerance exists because differences (not similarities) and the resolution of LGBT problems must be based on the values, philosophy and principles of the Republic of Indonesia and the noble goal of being a faithful and devoted human being to the One God, not an interest personal. This research is expected to improve the perspective of the Indonesian people towards tolerance related to LGBT. So that the relevance to the study of crisis tolerance in Indonesia in 2017 is very strong and needs to be prioritized.
