The research method used is a qualitative research method with an analytical descriptive approach. In this study, a description of the results of observing the situation directly was carried out which was then followed by an analysis based on the results of interviews obtained from related subjects. The results showed that employees, the community, and traders felt a very significant impact from the process of change (development) of the Bandung Zoo coupled with the COVID-19 pandemic. The impact that is felt through the efforts to develop this zoo arises because of the lack of clear communication between the Bandung Zoo and other related subjects.

Abstract

In this study the author tries to investigate how impactful a korean drama titled “Start Up” to its audience on their interest of starting up a business with Social Cognitive Theory by Albert Bandura as the theoretical framework. This study uses the quantitative approach by holding up a survey aimed to college students. The finding suggests that most of the respondents are intrigued in staring up a business after watching the drama. But we can’t say that it’s the only reason behind it as internal factors, experiences, and their environment also take parts in shaping up their mind and deciding what they are going to do. Keywords — start up, korean drama, social cognitive theory

Abstract

Racism, prejudice and discrimination are complex things that occur in this world, according to Baldwin (2017) this is a broad social phenomenon and a field for research, complicated by the fact that intolerance exists in internal cognition but manifests in the use of symbols (verbal, nonverbal). , mediation), law and policy, and social and organizational practice. It is based on group identification (ie, understanding and treating a person or persons in terms of outgroup membership); but those outgroups can range from better-known outgroups based on race, gender/gender, nationality, or sexual orientation to more specific intolerance of others based on political party, fan status, or membership in some groups perceived as "blonde". " or "athlete." This article begins with the relationship of culture to prejudice, paying attention to certain culture-based prejudices about ethnocentrism and xenophobia. It then explores the degree to which prejudice might manifest, finally arriving at the specific focus of prejudice—racism; however, what applies to racism may also apply to other intolerances such as sexism, heterosexism, classicism, or ageism. This article considers that the issue of racism can occur because of the motivation that causes this to use Charles Peirce's semiotic theory.

Abstract

Cingcowong is a ritual to summon rain from Luragung Landeuh Village, Kuningan, West Java. The ritual makes the doll as an intermediary asking for rain which later the doll will be possessed by a spirit while chanting a spell asking for rain, and a few moments later it will rain. Many responses were made by several parties related to the existence of this ritual because it was considered outside the boundaries of religious teachings, so that in the end the Cingcowong ritual began to lose its sacred value and changed its function into an art performance. Because of this negative response, many parties also want to preserve this cultural heritage so that it does not become extinct by innovating new arts adapted from the Cingcowong ritual. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis approach, through interviews with selected informants, observations, documentation and literature studies all obtained. This study found that the Cingcowong ritual ceremony is still ongoing today and there is a shift in values other than the ceremonial ritual to become a tourist attraction. The implications of this research as the main data in making a documentary.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the outpouring of the security guards at the Andes Cluster security post, which is where the researcher lives. many things are discussed by the security guards including the existence of one eye on the security guard profession and their salaries are not worth the risk. This one eye view also makes it seem as if the security guard profession is a lowly profession compared to others, such as the police or other security forces. So, it can be formulated in this research that how the security guard is underestimated by many people and how is the security guard's welfare. The purpose of this study was to determine the true view of the security guard profession and to determine the welfare of security guards with high job risks. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with an analytical descriptive approach. That is, an approach that analyzes, describes and summarizes various conditions, situations from various data from interviews or observations about problems directly in the field. From interviews and observations made, it was explained that their salary was very small, only 1.6 million rupiah. Meanwhile, the views of the residents themselves on their profession are not all looked down on. Indeed, we should not look down on the security guard profession. Even though they seemed to be just relaxing, the responsibility they received was heavy. The issue of a salary increase is not easy, because the security guard can't do anything. It is the foundation, the developer and the residents who can make the security guard's salary increase.
