Abstract

Science thinking skills is a dynamic process that requires variety of complex ideas have studied to increase student understanding in teaching and learning. The purpose this research was to analyze the science thinking skills through problem-based learning with the topic of global warming. The scientific thinking skills have studied is the problem-solving skills, decision-making skills, critical thinking skills, and creative thinking skills. This research use descriptive methods, the subject of this research are seventh grade junior high school in Sukabumi city. Research data was gathered trought the science thinking skills test and learning observation sheet. The results showed 1) the science thinking skills from junior high school students of class VII in Sukabumi is still relatively low, for problem-solving skills has reached 55, 88%, decision-making skills reaches 50.00%, where as for the cirtical thinking skills only 40.66% and creative berpkir reached 46.76%. 2) Science thinking skills can be developed and optimized through problem-based learning in science teaching with the topic of global warming. 3) In problem-based learning, students are not only develop basic thinking skills but more important is to develop the complex thinking skills. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pembelajaran IPA tipe webbed dan shared pada tema pemanfaatan sampah dengan pendekatan inkuri terbimbing terhadap peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen The Matching only Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design dengan menggunakan dua kelas VII yang memiliki nilai rata-rata kelas yang hampir sama di salah satu SMP Negeri di Sukabumi. Dua kelas tersebut terdiri dari kelas yang menerapkan pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe webbed dan kelas yang menerapkan pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe shared. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes tertulis untuk penguasaan konsep, lembar observasi kegiatan pembelajaran dan kegiatan siswa, dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Pembelajaran IPA terpadu pada kelas tipe webbed dan shared berjalan sesuai dengan tahapan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, (2) Peningkatan Penguasaan Konsep pada kelas IPA terpadu tipe webbed ditunjukkan oleh rata-rata N-Gain yang diperoleh sebesar 0,532 (sedang), sementara untuk kelas IPA terpadu shared 0,423 (sedang) (3) Tanggapan siswa untuk pembelajaran IPA terpadu webbed adalah pada umumnya siswa lebih mudah dalam memahami pembelajaran. Dalam pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe webbed ini, pembelajaran dimulai dengan tema pemanfaatan sampah yang menghubungkan antara topik pencemaran tanah dengan perubahan materi (perubahan fisika dan kimia), sifat bahan dan dampak pencemaran tanah terhadap kesehatan manusia. Kata Kunci: pembelajaran IPA terpadu webbed dan shared, pendekatan inkuiri, penguasaan konsep.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the student achievement in physics between students who are active in scout extracurricular with the choir extracurricular. This research was held in SMAN 39 Jakarta Timur in June 2015. The research sample consisted of 15 students of class XI MIA who follow scout extracurricular (X1) and 15 students of class XI MIA who follow choir extracurricular (X2). The method used is the Ex Post Facto. The instrument used was a questionnaire of students who active in scout extracurricular and choir extracurricular, amounting to 26 the questions and scores of student achievement in physics first semester of school year 2014-2015. Prerequisite test using test of normality and homogeneity test. Hypothesis test with t test with criteria Ho accepted if -ttabel ≤ tcount ≤ ttabel at significance level of 5% with df = n1 + n2 - 2 RESULTS: Student achievement in physics KI 3 X1 and X2 are -1,701≤ -1.61 ≤ 1.701 then Ho is accepted; Student achievement in physics KI 4 X1 and X2 are ≤ 1.701 -1.701 -0.29 ≤ then Ho is accepted; Student achievement in physics KI 1 & 2 X1 and X2 at a significance level of 5% and df = n - 1 = 14 was -1.76 ≤ 0.49 ≤ 1.76 then Ho is accepted or there are no differences in student achievement in physics between students who are active in scout extracurricular with students who are active in choir extracurricular. Abstract

The research aims to determine the comprison result of learning physics by using model Make A Match with Cooperative Script in high school.This research was conducted at SMAN 53 Jakarta in February-April 2015. The sample used in a class X MIA 2 as an experimental class 1, and X MIA 1 as an experimental class 2 respectively of 36 students who have the same condition.The research method is quasi experiment, the research instrument in the form of multiple choice questions with a number of about 30 items. Using the price obtained Normality Test Chi Square cunt Chi Square table, for class 1 is 7,86642 11,070 and experimen class 2 that 6,9326 11,070, based on data from second class of normal distribution. Homogeneity test resuls obtained for is 1,275 2,52 so the data is homogeneous. Based on hypothesis testing using t-test showed (2,015) and the value of (1,66691) at significance level by dk=(36-36)-2=70. Because then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. It can be concluded that students who use learning models make a match higher than students who use Cooperative Script learning model. Keywords: Make A Match, Cooperative Script, Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

Aims the study to determine the effect of expository inquiry learning and the learning outcomes science of students of class V elementary school physics. Students who are going through puberty have a curiosity so high that teachers provide learning facilities with inquiry learning strategy, which is compared with expository learning strategy. This research was conducted in class V elementary School, one class is learning physics by inquiry learning strategy as experimental class and other classes with expository as the control class. The study was conducted in East Jakarta elementary School, pretest value, the value of learning, and the value of post-test were analyzed by ANCOVA. The results showed that administration of inquiry learning system can significantly increase the value of physics students better or higher than expository learning system with R Square .701. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Prediction, Discuss, Explain, Observe, Discuss, Explain (PDEODE) terhadap hasil belajar kognitif fisika siswa SMA. Model pembelajaran PDEODE merupakan model pembelajaran bersiklus yang terdiri dari enam tahapan yaitu tahap prediksi I, diskusi I, presentasi I, observasi, diskusi II, dan presentasi II. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian eksperimen dengan jenis eksperimen semu (quasi experiment). Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN 107 Jakarta. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu, kelas X MIPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang terdiri dari 34 siswa dan kelas X MIPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol yang terdiri dari 35 siswa. Penelitian dilakukan dalam pembelajaran konsep fluida statis. Instrumen hasil belajar yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda yang terdiri dari 25 soal. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik tes dan analisis data dengan menggunakan statistik uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan uji-t (uji hipotesis) dengan taraf signifikansi 5% dan dk=67, didapatkan harga ttabel=1.667 dan thitung=3.542 , sehingga hipotesis ho ditolak dan hipotesis ha diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang positif antara model pembelajaran PDEODE terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa kelas X SMA pada materi fluida statis. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuat alat peraga yang diharapkan dapat membantu siswa lebih memahami mengenai perpindahan panas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen, dimana peneliti membuat pendingin sederhana dengan menggunakan bahan dan alat sederhana yang ada disekitarnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui kajian teori bahan yang digunakan untuk membuat pendingin sederhana, pembuatan alat peraga dari alat dan bahan sederhana, dan pengujian kinerja alat. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode dokumentasi yang berupa pengukuran suhu kotak sebelum dimodifikasi dengan suhu kotak setelah dimodifikasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah berupa alat pendingin sederhana yang dapat digunakan sebagai alat peraga oleh guru di sekolah untuk menjelaskan perpindahan panas. Kata Kunci: alat peraga, pendingin sederhana, perpindahan panas.

Abstract

The aim of research was to measure the differences of students’ physics achievement which taught by jigsaw type and think pair share (TPS) type on electro dynamic topic. The research conducted at tenth grade-1,-2 and -3 (X1, X2 and X3) in State Islamic Senior High School (MAN) 15 Jakarta. The research was experiment method. Jigsaw method was applied in X-1, TPS method was applied in X2 and classical method was applied in X3. Physics achievement test was used as research instrument. Data analysis used ANOVA technique to test the differences of experimental groups. Result of Fmeasure (4,210) > F table (2; 100; 0.05) was 3.10 and sig (0.018) < α, so that we refused H0. Table post hoc test showed the mean differences were sygnifican in classical method class and TPS method class. Both groups classical and TPS class have differences mean score. Experiment result suggested physics teacher to apply TPS method in teaching learning. This method proved can increase the physics score test more effective than jigsaw method. Abstract

This study aims to determine increases Student Results Using problem-based learning model on the subject of vibrations and waves in class VIIIJ SMP Negeri 1 Ternate. The subjects were students of class VIIIJ the number of 27 students consisting of 16 male students and 11 female students. While the observer is composed of two teachers of subjects. This type of research is research grade tindaka using two cycles through four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques used were observation and tests. The instrument used in this study is the observation and question. Analysis of the data used is quantitative descriptive approach. The results showed the average percentage of learning outcomes increased from 40.75% in the first cycle to 77.78% in the second cycle. The mean for the activities of teachers in the first cycle with the average of 61.67% and are included in the category fairly and on the second cycle increased to 77%, including both categories. Activity of students in the first cycle of 47.91% is included in the poor category and the second cycle increased by 71% is included in both categories. Conclusions from this research is the application of problem-based learning model can improve student learning outcomes VIIIJ grade SMP Negeri 1 of Ternate in the academic year 2011/2012. Abstract

Kegiatan eksperimen sangat penting bagi mahasiswa untuk menumbuhkembangkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi, termasuk diantaranya berpikir kritis. Umumnya kegiatan praktikum dilakukan dengan metode cookbook, mahasiswa hanya mengikuti langkah-langkah eksperimen yang telah diberikan. Kegiatan eksperimen seperti ini kurang melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa terkait fenomena yang sedang diamati. Salah satu pendekatan dalam eksperimen yang diprediksi dapat menumbuhkembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis ialah eksperimen berbasis pemecahan masalah (problem solving). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan eksperimen fisika berbasis pemecahan masalah, dangan 15 mahasiswa fisika sebagai sample penelitian. Kegiatan eksperimen dilakukan selama satu semester dengan memberikan lembar kerja yang berisi permasalahan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan pertanyaan-pertanyaan arahan bagi mahasiswa untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan semua aspek keterampilan berpikir kritis (versi Ennis) yang diukur yaitu kemampuan deduksi (deduction), induksi (induction), kredibilitas (credibility), observasi (observation) dan asumsi (asumption) mengalami peningkatan. Kata kunci: problem solving, keterampilan berpikir kritis, eksperimen.
