Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology provides significant opportunities for utilizing games as interactive learning media, particularly in mathematics, a subject often perceived as difficult and less engaging by elementary school students. This study aims to design and develop a 3D Parkour Game as an educational medium for arithmetic learning using Unity. The method applied in this research is the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC), which consists of the stages of initiation, pre-production, production, beta, and release. During the design phase, flowcharts and Finite State Machine (FSM) models were employed to illustrate the gameplay flow and character behavior mechanisms within the game. The results indicate that the developed game is capable of delivering a more interactive, challenging, and enjoyable learning experience through a 3D parkour concept. In this game, players control a robot character to overcome various obstacles and reach the finish line. Beyond serving as an entertainment medium, the game also has the potential to enhance students’ cognitive skills, including focus, concentration, decision-making, and visual-motor coordination. Therefore, the 3D Parkour Game is considered a viable alternative medium for arithmetic learning and holds potential for further development through the integration of more complex mathematical materials and empirical classroom-based effectiveness testing.

Abstract

Palm oil mills produce biomass in the form of fibre and shells that have the potential to be utilised as an energy source for internal power generation. This study aims to analyse the performance of the biomass-based power generation system at the PT Palem Segar Lestari Palm Oil Mill in terms of generator capacity suitability, energy efficiency, and operational stability. The research method used is a descriptive quantitative approach through the measurement of operational parameters and technical performance analysis based on thermodynamic principles and energy balance. The analysis was conducted on the mill's processing capacity, process steam requirements, biomass heat energy, boiler steam production, and steam turbine power. The results showed that at an operating capacity of around 45 tonnes of fresh fruit bunches per hour, the minimum steam requirement reached ±27,000 kg/hour, and the power generation system was capable of producing electricity according to the mill's needs with an electricity consumption intensity of 15–17 kW/tonne of fresh fruit bunches. Overall, the biomass power generation system at PT Palem Segar Lestari demonstrates effective performance in supporting independent factory operations with potential for optimisation in fuel management and boiler efficiency.

Abstract

Aquaculture productivity is highly dependent on maintaining optimal water quality, yet traditional manual monitoring methods are labor-intensive and lack real-time capability. This study addresses this gap by designing and implementing an IoT-based real-time water quality monitoring system specifically for aquaculture, integrating pH, temperature, and turbidity sensors with Telegram notifications. The research and development (R&D) approach was employed to build a prototype system consisting of sensor nodes (ESP32 microcontroller with pH, DS18B20 temperature, and TSW-10TM turbidity sensors), a cloud server for data processing, and a Telegram Bot for instant alerts. System testing evaluated sensor accuracy, data transmission reliability, and notification effectiveness. The results demonstrated that the system performed with high accuracy, showing strong correlation (r > 0.99) with standard measurement tools and an average error below 3%. The data communication proved reliable, achieving a Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) of 98.7% with an average end-to-end latency of 2.3 seconds. Crucially, the Telegram notification mechanism was 100% effective, delivering all threshold breach alerts with an average latency of only 3.8 seconds. These findings confirm the system's potential as a practical, efficient, and affordable solution for precision aquaculture. It enables continuous monitoring and provides early warnings, empowering farmers to take immediate corrective actions to prevent stock stress and economic losses, thereby contributing to the sustainability of small to medium-scale aquaculture operations in Indonesia.

Abstract

The widespread adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) is hindered by the practicality and efficiency of charging infrastructure. Inductive wireless power transfer (WPT) offers a promising alternative, but its output stability is challenged by variations in air-gap distance, magnetic coupling, and load. This research aims to optimize the stability and dynamic response of an inductive EV charging system by implementing a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control algorithm on an ESP-32 microcontroller. The ESP-32 was selected for its computational capability, built-in Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity, and cost-effectiveness. The study employs a laboratory-scale prototype with series-series compensation. A one-group posttest-only design was used, testing nine scenarios combining three air-gap distances (2, 4, 6 cm) and three resistive loads (10, 20, 30 Ω). System performance was evaluated based on steady-state error (SSE) and settling time (t_s). The results show that the PID control significantly reduced the SSE to below 3% across all tested conditions, representing an average error reduction of 89.6% compared to the open-loop system. The settling time for a step load change was 120 ms, demonstrating a fast dynamic recovery. The system also effectively compensated for lateral misalignment. The integrated Wi-Fi module enabled real-time remote monitoring. This study concludes that an ESP-32-based PID controller provides a stable, responsive, and connected control solution for inductive EV charging systems, offering a cost-effective alternative to more complex hardware platforms.

Abstract

The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has significantly influenced the livestock sector, particularly in improving the efficiency of feed management in poultry farming. Manual feed mixing is still widely applied, despite its limitations in terms of time, labor, and feed uniformity. This study aims to design and evaluate the performance of an IoT-based automatic chicken feed mixing system to enhance operational efficiency and real-time monitoring. The research employs a quantitative experimental approach based on system simulation, including hardware and software design, system modeling, and functional performance testing. The system is controlled by an ESP32 microcontroller integrated with a DC motor, servo motor, relay, and an IoT-based monitoring application. Experimental results indicate that the system operates stably under various feed load conditions, with relatively constant motor voltage and power consumption increasing proportionally with the applied load. Energy consumption remains within an efficient range, while the IoT application successfully provides real-time system status monitoring with responsive performance. Overall, the proposed IoT-based automatic feed mixing system effectively improves feed processing efficiency, reduces dependence on manual labor, and supports the implementation of modern, technology-driven poultry farming systems.

Abstract

The grounding system is an important part of the installation of the High Voltage Overhead Line (SUTT) transmission tower, which serves to channel the interference current to the ground to maintain human safety and equipment reliability. A low grounding resistance value is needed for the protection system to work optimally. This study aims to analyze the effect of the addition of ground rod points on the grounding resistance value in the 70kV TES-PEKALONGAN SUTT transmission tower. Measurements are made directly using an earth tester. The measurement results show that the addition of ground rod points can significantly reduce the grounding resistance value. Thus, increasing the number of grounding points can be one of the technical solutions to improve the performance of the grounding system on the electricity transmission network.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penyampaian pengaduan kerusakan jalan dan fasilitas umum di Kabupaten Tanggamus seringkali menghambat proses perbaikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sebuah website pengaduan masyarakat yang efektif dan mudah diakses. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, serta implementasi menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan basis data MySQL. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah website yang dapat diakses melalui https://pengaduan.wuaze.com/pengaduan/ yang memungkinkan pengguna untuk melaporkan kerusakan jalan dan fasilitas umum dengan mengisi formulir tanpa perlu melakukan login terlebih dahulu, sehingga mempermudah masyarakat dalam berpartisipasi aktif. Sistem ini juga memfasilitasi pihak berwenang dalam menerima, memverifikasi, dan menindaklanjuti laporan. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa website pengaduan ini dapat menjadi solusi inovatif untuk meningkatkan efisiensi komunikasi antara masyarakat dan pemerintah daerah dalam upaya pemeliharaan infrastruktur..
