Abstract

Mattirotappareng is one of the villages located inTempe District, Wajo Regency. The progress of developmentin Wajo Regency is not in line with the progress of theknowledge of the people, especially the knowledge ofinnovation in agriculture. So that, the community is lacks newknowledge about crop cultivation to improve the level ofcommunity welfare. The problem faced is the limited land forfarming. Planting needs to be accompanied by the latestaccuracy and innovation in accordance with the developmentof technology and science. Verticultural technique is anopportunity as well as a challenge that can be used to improveagricultural yields in the area of Mattirotappareng Village,Tempe District. Verticulture system is the result of researchconducted in the Department of Biology, Faculty ofMathematics and Natural Science, Universitas NegeriMakassar. The research has been carried out and based ontechnology products should be downstream so that it can beutilized by the community. Dissemination of the results of thisstudy can be done by socialization, counseling/training, andmentoring. With this program, it is expected that the limitedland will no longer be a problem of farming for the people inMattirotappareng Village.

Abstract

PKM program was performed by providing trainingand mentoring activities to participants about the RealisticMathematics Education for elementary school teachers withthe aims of (1) to increase knowledge about the RealisticMathematics Eduaction, (2) participants can implement theRealistic Mathematics Education in the learning process, and(3) participants can disseminate or disseminate knowledge ofthe Realistic Mathematics Education. The main targetaudience of this PKM program were school supervisors,school principals and school teachers in the TinggimoncongDistrict, Gowa Regency, South-Sulawesi Province. The resultsobtained in the PKM program activities were increasedknowledge and concepts of Realistic Mathematics Educationof PKM program participants, increased development skills inthe Realistic Mathematics Education of PKM programparticipants, PKM program participants can make examplesand compile the Realistic Mathematics Education activities inthe class, and PKM program participants can implement theRealistic Mathematics Education in the learning process atschool. Other results obtained were increased of participants’motivation in knowing the material of realistic mathematicslearning and the high enthusiasm of participants indisseminating the results of PKM program, especially thematerial on Realistic Mathematics Education.

Abstract

The problems faced by partner in TellulimpoeVillage and Patampanua Village were: (1) people in that areasdo not have the knowledge about the drill pipe of the rechargesystem which can be used as a source of clean water; (2) theydo not have the skills to drill a drill pipe system; (3) they donot have the skills to install drill well pipes and exhaust pipes;and (4) they do not have the skills to install water pumpmachines and supply pipes. The solutions to solving partnerproblems were: (1) design a borehole pipe system; (2) providea drill pipe system; (3) provide borehole material for anextension pipe system; and (4) train the partner to make drillwells for pipe systems (drilling, installing pipes and installingmachinery and supply pipes). The methods used included: (1)lectures; (2) demonstrations; (3) discussion; (4) question andanswer; and (5) accompanying partners to make a boreholepipe system. The results achieved were: (1) partners haveknowledge of the wellbore of an extension pipe system thatcan be used to pump groundwater; (2) partners have the skillsto drill a borehole system for the pipe system; (3) partnershave the skills to install drill well pipes and recharge pipes;and (4) partners have the skills to install water pump machinesand supply pipes.

Abstract

Bentor (motorbike becak) drivers in Patalassang donot have basic knowledge about how to drive a motorcycle(bentor) or ability to repair it, so bentor is operated not inaccordance with the correct procedure. As a result, thosebentors are often damaged, and have to be brought to therepairman service. This causes the bentor drivers to sufferlosses. Losses because they do not only lose time, but alsohave to pay the repair costs (service fees) which aroundRp30,000 to Rp50,000. In fact, the destructions are caused bythe driving errors and lack of care. This problem really doesnot need to occur, if the bentor drivers have basic knowledgeabout how to drive, maintain and repair a motorcycle engine orbentor. The training carried out was training in how to drive,maintain and repair damages that might occur by means ofdemonstrations and direct practice. The training wasconducted, including how to unload the carburettor and thepossibility of the usual damage, setting the valve, overcomingthe ignition system in the spark plug, and oil change time. Thisactivity was supported by the participants or the trainers whoattended the event, by practicing directly how to unload thecarburettor and how to adjust the valve. The information aboutoil change time was only explained. In conclusion, by doingthis activity, the knowledge and skills of the bentor drivers incarrying out repairs and maintenance as well as driving abentor methods can be increased.

Abstract

PKM program was carried out by providing trainingand mentoring activities to participants regarding ScientificWriting (KTI). The program was done to improve teacherprofessionalism with the aims of (1) to increase knowledgeabout scientific writing, (2) participants can implementscientific papers well in its duties, and (3) participants candisseminate knowledge of scientific papers. The main targetparticipants in this PKM Program activities were schoolsupervisors, school principal, and teachers in theTinggimoncong District, Gowa Regency, South-SulawesiProvince. The results obtained in this PKM program included:1) Knowledge, concepts, and development of scientific papersof PKM program participants increased, 2) PKM programparticipants know the types of scientific writing, 3) PKMprogram participants know the techniques and ways of writingscientific papers, and 4) PKM program participants cancompile and write scientific papers. Other results obtainedwere the increase in participants' motivation in understandingthe material of scientific writing and high enthusiasm ofparticipants in disseminating the results of PKM program,especially the information related to the scientific writing.

Abstract

This Community Science and Technology Activity(IbM) aims to help teachers in schools to improve theirprofessionalism in the teaching and learning process. they aretrained in designing learning media that can be implemented inlearning activities. The method used in the activity is to sharemodules as references, lecture methods and question andanswer. Participants are given basic mastery of learning mediadesign about understanding, supporting facilities andinfrastructure. the method used is a practice method bytraining participants to know the internet network and usingthe software provided to build learning media, practicing worksteps according to the modules that are shared. The resultsachieved from this activity are that participants haveunderstood the principles of designing the media that will beused in the teaching and learning process, and know thesupporting facilities and infrastructure to design a media that isused evaluation of the implementation of the activity obtaineda mean score of 3.87 with the criteria of very good.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity was to improve theknowledge of the teachers in writing scientific papers, to trainelementary school teachers in publishing their scientificpapers, to produce research proposals and articles that areready for publication. This activity was carried out withtraining methods in the form of material lectures, the practiceof compiling scientific papers, and compiling ready articlespublished in scientific journals. The results of the activityshowed that 95% of participants understood the materialpresented based on the results of the worksheets that werefilled in.

Abstract

The application of a varied learning model of Artand Culture subjects in elementary school will have an impacton students. They will be easier in understanding subjects sothat the quality of learning will increase. The results of earlyobservations made showed that the ability of elementaryschool teachers in applying various art learning models wasstill limited. It could be seen from varied activities. As a result,the learning process was monotonous. The strategic target ofthis training activity was elementary school teachers in BoneRegency, consisting of several teachers, school operators andthe school principal. Activities that have been carried outrelated to the training of learning models of Art and Culture inthe elementary school have shown satisfactory results. It isbecause the implementation of the training program providedgreat benefits of the application of art learning models in theelementary school.

Abstract

This program was driven by the need for studentsand lecturers in utilizing an application tool in order to helpthem at managing the references in the scientific paper. Thepurpose of this training was to provide students of STKIP-PIMakassar in writing scientific papers, especially managingreferences used by using Zotero 5.0 software. The results ofthis training showed that the students and lecturers were veryinteresting to participate in the training as well as using theZotero 5.0 in managing their references. The director ofSTKIP-PI and teaching staff encourage their students to usethe Zotero 5.0 software in writing scientific papers.

Abstract

Traditional music is one of the arts that is stillwidely presented in various activities in the communityincluding in Maros district. Some traditional music that is stillvisible in Maros regency is drums, flutes, lutes, and severalother musical instruments. Seeing the increasingly modernconditions of society and the introduction of music fromoutside, which is more auditively related to the increasinglypopular ears of society, it certainly affects the interest of theyounger generation to continue to love traditional music. Theneed for arrangement training in traditional music artists inMaros regency is to facilitate them in developing traditionalmusic so that traditional music does not become monotonousand will be demanded by the younger generations. Theformulation of the problem is (1) how the partner's problemwith the arrangement in relation to the development oftraditional music in Maros regency, (2) How is the procedurefor implementing arrangement learning in artists / traditionalart studios in Maros district. The method used in thearrangement of the arrangement program is the lecture method,the experimental method that uses traditional musicalinstruments in the form of drums, flutes, harps as a tool, anddirect guidance on the arrangement theory. The resultsachieved were the development of augmentation, diminution,sequence, imitation, and repetition melodies to provide newlessons for participants, this was seen in the training andseveral demands in the training, participants' enthusiasm inreceiving the material was very high so the training processran smoothly and participants were able understand thematerial from beginning to end which is given well. And basedon the acceptance of the first material that is going well eventhough there are few obstacles when learning takes placebecause some participants are not familiar with advancedmusic theory material, but successfully improved by theresearcher by giving material gradually according to the abilityof the participants. The next training participants wereenthusiastic in learning that occurred because learning wasmore fun and the material provided increased, so that in theprocess of implementing arrangements can give a positivecontribution as seen from the ability to write and translatenotation in the form of work arrangements on performancesperformed at the end of application learning Aransmen.
