Abstract

The main goal of this program was to increasestudent competence in terms of computing using the software. This was intended to facilitate students in doing theirassignments, where they must perform a computationalprocess that emphasizes the result of a mathematical case. Theconstraints faced in general were the lack of internal teachingstaff who could guide the students in a frequent manner. As aresult, many students were unable to use the software properlyfor the computing process. Therefore, there was a need forconducting an educational and training program in order toovercome this issue. One of which was training in dataprocessing and analysis using Casio FX 991 ID Plus calculatorsoftware for students. This activity aimed to improve theability of students to use the Casio FX 991 ID Plus software.Specifically, this activity could develop students' ability to dothe computation to solve problems in various mathematicaltopics. The results achieved were that the participants weregenerally very enthusiastic in following the entire series ofactivities. The participants consulted with the presenters/facilitators of the training if they found problems and thingsthat were not yet known about the Casio FX 991 ID PlusCalculator. The result obtained from the training andindependent work was the participants have been able to dothe computing process well. It is recommended that the scopeof the implementation of such training program be furtherexpanded. In addition, according to the results and benefitsobtained from the implementation of the training, it isnecessary to implement the training for students and thecommunity, in general, to facilitate them in using Casio FX991 ID Plus Calculator as a tool for performing computingprocesses.

Abstract

The PKM program focused on providing trainingand mentoring activities to participants regarding PedagogicContent Knowledge (PCK) to improve the quality of thelearning process with the aims of (1) to increase knowledgeabout PCK, (2) participants can implement the PCK well in thelearning process, and (3) participants can disseminateknowledge of PCK. The main target audience in this PKMProgram included school supervisors, school principal, andschool teachers in the Tinggimoncong District, GowaRegency, South-Sulawesi Province. The results obtained in theprogram showed that knowledge and concepts of PCK of theparticipants increased, development skills of PCK of theparticipants were increase, PKM program participants couldcreate examples and compile the PCK activities in learningclasses, and PKM program participants could implement thePCK in the learning process at school. Other results obtainedwere the increased motivation of participants in knowing thePCK and the high enthusiasm of participants in disseminatingthe results of the PKM program, especially the informationabout PCK.

Abstract

This Community Partnership program focused onthe application of practicum based on science process skills forJunior High School or equivalent students. The program aimedto give an overview to the Junior High School or equivalentstudents by doing: 1) efforts to provide mentorship program tothe Junior High School or equivalent students in HerlangDistrict in order to understand process-based skills science, 2)efforts to help the Junior High School or equivalent students inHerlang District to be skilled in practicing practicum based onscience process skills. The targets and outcomes to beachieved in the program were to realize the program on how tomake students capable of practicing based on science processskills and to provide an overview to the teacher in applyingpracticum based on science process skills. Lecture methods, discussion, question and answer, and direct demonstrationswere applied to delivering the training material.

Abstract

Webbed model is often called the net model, as oneof the models in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. Inthe development process after the theme is established, it istranslated into a sub-theme to show the linkages with severalstudy contents. The results of the elaboration of the subthemesaredevelopedlearningactivitiesthatstudentsmustdo.Thewebbed model is conducted to build a net (spider) fromthe core of the material in each KD. This study is a way toexpand the material network in each subject so that it lookslike a spider web. In the process of developing teachingmaterials, the adequate thinking skills are needed indetermining and expanding the study of teaching materials. The fact that the teacher in the Gugus III of the Educationoffices in Libureng District, Bone Regency in 2018, hasaround 12 elementary schools. The number of teachers isaround 90 people. Based on preliminary observations of thelearning implementation in several schools, it was shown thatmost schools have not developed and applied teachingmaterials with the webbed model. The teachers are generallyclassified as undergraduates, but have not been able to developteaching materials with this model. The targets to be achievedin this program were (a) Elementary teachers in this regionhave the knowledge to develop teaching materials with usingthe webbed model according to 2013 curriculum requirements; (b) Teachers are able to apply teaching materials using thewebbed model in learning; (c) Teachers are able to developlearning tools. The methods offered to solve partner problemswere (a) Mentoring on developing teaching materials with awebbed model; and (b) Mentoring to analyze the curriculumcontent in order to determine KD with webed nuances. Theimplementation of this PKM program has resulted in: (a)Participants have the ability to develop and apply teachingmaterials with the Webbed model well; b) Produce teachingmaterials with a webbed model well; (c) Produce learningdevices well; (d) Participants have the ability to studycurriculum content in determining webbed based KD. Basedon the results of this program, it is suggested: (1) The teacherswho involved in the training program are expected to be ableto encourage other teachers to gain the ability in developingteaching materials using the webbed model, and (2) TheGugus III Elementary School teachers in Libureng District areexpected to collaborate with the Educational Technology studyprogram, Makassar State University.
