Abstract

Symptoms of physical fitness among children in areas is a common symptom where the main cause is they are lessmobile, caused by the lack of time to do physical activities. Children are so engrossed in playing in front of computers, laptopsand cellphones, eating unhealthy foods are instantaneously triggering the emergence of various diseases that at times threatentheir health. Measurement of the level of physical fitness is one of the parameters to determine the level of physical fitness of aperson. The level of physical fitness is a person's fitness level in carrying out daily activities. Physical fitness is the physicalcondition of a person related to the ability and ability to carry out work activities optimally and efficiently. Physical fitness ofelementary school students is different from physical fitness for functional junior high school and senior high school student, because physical fitness is individual. Thus the measurement of physical fitness level for someone is very important to know thephysical education teachers in elementary schools. The socialization of physical fitness measurement to physical educationteachers and elementary school students number 84 in Sinjai Regency uses a physical fitness test prepared by the Center forPhysical Fitness and Recreation called TKJI (Indonesian Physical Fitness Test, specifically for elementary school age 10-12years). This test uses 5 (five) test items which must be carried out in the overall order, namely: (1) 40 meter running (2) bendingelbow hanging (3) lying down sitting 30 seconds (4) jumping upright and (5) running 600 meters. The location of this scienceand technology application was carried out in the elementary school football field number 84 of Sinjai Regency with the target ofall physical education teachers and elementary school students numbering 71 people. The results achieved are physical educationteachers realize the importance of understanding and mastery of physical fitness level tests of elementary school students aged10-12 years in the teaching and learning process especially in improving the health status of students in SD No. 84 SinjaiRegency. The physical awareness level testing activity can overcome the limitations of the TKJI test implementation guidelineswell. By carrying out the socialization of physical fitness level test, it can foster an attitude of love for exercising to students, especially the introduction and understanding of individual physical fitness level test items. It is expected that elementary schoolphysical education teachers to always carry out tests of physical fitness level to students or students to the fullest, of course, withnationally standardized test items with the implementation process in the right order.

Abstract

The Community Service Activities aims to improve the professional competency skills of teachers related to writingscientific papers, especially how to make classroom action research. This is important because each teacher can provide data andinformation related to the learning models and methods that they have been provided to their students, the results of models andmethods used and how to get the best solution. Classroom action research can not only be used as a reflection of learningactivities in the classroom but also can provide new empirical facts that can be used as a comparison as well as choosing the bestlearning methods and models. This activity was conducted at 3 SMP Negeri 3 Bissappu, Bantaeng Regency with a total of 15teachers. The training method included lectures, discussions, and practice. The topics of lecture and discussion were: 1) How toprepare proposals including how to choose the problem, objectives, benefits, theoretical studies and class action research cycles,2) The relationship between the formulation of the problem with the study of theories, frameworks, and hypotheses of action, 3)Data collection techniques and data analysis techniques, 4) The practice of making proposals as well as the percentage ofproposal results. After evaluating the training and mentoring process, the results show that: 1) Participants were serious andactively participating in the training, 2) More than 80% of participants already understood and knew how to prepare a goodproposal and they were able to practice and present their proposal.

Abstract

The Community Partnership Program (PKM) aims to overcome the problems of the community's environment, especially their environmental sanitation which is also a means of water consolidation. PKM location is in Rompegading Village,Liliriaja District, Soppeng Regency. The PKM partner is the Head of Rompegading Village (Sakmawati, S.S, M.M) representingthe community who have various kinds of environmental problems. Partner problems: (1) partners do not have knowledge aboutthe materials and tools used to make dirty and rain water reservoirs, control tanks, and infiltration tanks; (2) partners do not haveknowledge about the functions of dirty and rain water reservoirs, control tanks, and infiltration tanks; (3) partners do not have theskills to make dirty and rain water storage tanks, control tanks, and absorbing tanks. The solutions offered to solve partnerproblems: (1) provide counseling to partners about the materials and tools used to make dirty and rain water reservoirs, controltanks, and infiltration tanks; (2) providing counseling to partners about dirty and rain water collection tanks, control tanks, andinfiltration tanks; (3) provide training to partners making dirty and rain water reservoirs. The method used in counseling: lectures, discussions, and question and answer. The method used in the training: demonstration, question and answer, and discussion. Abstract

Extracurricular activities aim to enable students to develop their personality, talents, and abilities in various fieldsoutside the academic field, one of which is the field of appropriate technology. Based on the data obtained, there are 5 State HighSchools and 3 State Vocational Schools in Parepare City, Sulawesi Selatan and from the results of observations note that onlyone of these schools still facilitates students interested in the field of electronic-based appropriate technology. SMAN 1 Parepareis one of the model schools that cannot carry out this activity due to the unavailability of supporting resources in the field. Thesolution provided through the Community Partnership Program (PKM) activities is basic training in the design ofmicrocontroller-based appropriate technology. The method of implementing this PKM activity is a training method which isdivided into three stages, namely theoretical training, training on the use of Arduino IDE platform software and training ondesigning appropriate technology based on Arduino microcontrollers. The result of this PKM activity was to increase themotivation of SMAN 1 Parepare students in terms of students' interests, talents, and abilities in the form of simple, appropriatetechnology designs such as miniature automatic sensor-based control systems and Arduino microcontrollers.
