Abstract

Fever is a condition in which the body temperature is more than 37 °C, fever can also be an early clinical manifestation of a particular infection. A person is said to have a fever when the body temperature is above normal. Soursop plant (Annona muricata L.) is one of the plants that have antipyretic effects because it contains secondary metabolite compounds, namely flavonoids that can reduce fever. The objective of the research was to simulate the Formulation and Antipyretic Activity Test of Hydrogel Plasters of Soursop Leaf Ethanol Extract (Annona muricata L.) Soursop leaf ethanol extract is made by the maceration method, formulated as a hydrogel plaster with different concentrations of 5 g, 7.5 g, and 10 g. and then testing is carried out which includes organoleptic tests, pH tests, viscosity tests, homogeneity tests, and temperature reduction tests on mice. The test data obtained was then analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package for The Social Sciences) and the Anova test was then continued using the Tukey test. The results showed that the three hydrogel preparations had the same organoleptic results, namely semi-solid shape, distinctive smell and dark green brownish. The pH of the hydrogel includes 5 - 6.2, viscosity 89510 - 106530 cP and homogeneous preparations. The results of the test of the decline in body temperature of mice test animals showed that the most effective formula was hydrogel plaster with a composition of 10 g of extract in 30 g of preparations can lower the body temperature of mice in the fastest time, which is 60 minutes.

Abstract

The application of the Hospital Management Information System (MISH) is very important to integrate all the information generated in the service process. At this time MISH in Pariaman Hospital continues to grow to improve service and hospital quality. However, there are still several factors that influence the implementation of MISH, namely the human component, the organizational component and the technology component. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the HOT-FIT model on the Hospital Management Information System (MISH) at Pariaman Hospital. The research design used was qualitative research. The key informants in this study were MISH users, totaling 6 people, while the triangulation informants were 1 person. Qualitative data collection techniques using the Triangulation method. Data analysis in this study used a qualitative descriptive. The results of the study indicate that the human factor must be supported by an adequate number of human resources and the placement of human resources in hospital departments must be appropriate. Organizational factors must provide a manual for the use of MISH, conduct MISH training once a year, evaluate MISH and use MISH every year. The technology factor used to support the implementation of MISH must be made faster. The conclusion of this study is that there is a match between human factors, organizational factors, and technology factors in generating net benefits at Pariaman Hospital. This is because human factors, organizational factors, and technology factors support each other. It is hoped that the management of Pariaman Hospital will more often evaluate the implementation of MISH (human, organizational factors and technology factors) in order to develop further plans for the use of MISH.

Abstract

Hand sanitizer merupakan salah satu bahan antiseptik yang sering digunakan masyarakat sebagai media pencuci tangan praktis. Hand sanitizer diciptakan sebagai jalan keluar dari permasalahan tersebut sebagai pembersih tangan praktis. Masyarakat umumnya menyukai penggunaan hand sanitizer dalam bentuk gel karena menimbulkan rasa dingin dan mudah mengering. Pencegahan radang akibat bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dapat dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan tanaman yang memiliki senyawa aktif sebagai antibakteri seperti ekstrak buah malaka (Phyllanthus emblica L.). Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memformulasikan ekstrak etanol daun malaka menjadi gel hand sanitizer, menegtahui mutu fisik sediaan, dan menguji aktivitas terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dengan metode difusi agar menggunakan cakram. Konsentrasi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah 1 %, 2%, 3% dan kontrol positif. Hasil uji organoleptis daun malaka berbau khas berpaduan daun malaka dan essens stroberi, berwarna hijau kecoklatan, berbentuk gel. Uji pH berkisar 6,4 – 6,9. Uji viskositas hasilnya berkisar 15800 – 21500, dan uji iritasi terhadap sukarelawan hasilnya negatif tidak memberikan efek iritasi pada kulit. Aktivitas antibakteri pada konsentrasi 1% ,2%, 3%. Zona hambat yang dihasilkan secara bertururt - turut adalah yaitu sebesar 16,83 ± 4,716 mm,18,73 ± 3,164 mm, 19,03 ± 2,683 mm.

Abstract

Broccoli belongs to the cabbage family and includes vegetables that are not resistant to hot air. Broccoli is efficacious to accelerate the healing of the disease and prevent and inhibit the development of cancer cells in the body, especially hormone-related cancers, such as breast cancer in women, and prostate cancer that threatens men. Therefore, it is very potential to be developed and made in gummy candies preparations so that consumers can be consumed for all ages (especially children). The objective of the research was to find out broccoli essence can be formulated into gummy candies with variations of sucrose as sweetener, test the quality of broccoli candies gummy candies preparations resulting from various physical tests and the results of the favorite level of gummy candies from broccoli essence with variations in sucrose levels as sweetener. In this research used formula 1 with the amount of sucrose levels 115 mg, formula 2 with the amount of sucrose levels 230 mg, formula 3 with the amount of sucrose content 345 mg, formula 4 with the amount of sucrose content 460 mg and formula 5 with the amount of sucrose levels 575 mg. Based on the results of the research, broccoli essence could be formulated into gummy candies preparations with sucrose variations, had an attractive shape and color with a distinctive odor, as well as a chewy texture and has a pH of 5 that was suitable for gummy candies, the results of the favorite level test showed formula 5 was the preferred one with a variation in sucrose levels of 575 mg. Variations in sucrose levels had an effect on the level of liking.

Abstract

Chayote (Sechium edule (Jacq.) is a plant that comes from the cucurbitaceae family. This plant is a vegetable that grows in the subtropics which is used as food and is also used in medicine. Chayote contains secondary metabolites, minerals and vitamins. Minerals contained in chayote include calcium, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, zinc, iron and manganese. The purpose of this study was to determine the mineral content of manganese, sodium and iron from old and young chayote and to determine the differences in mineral content in old and young chayote. Samples were taken by positive sampling at the Simpang Limun market, Medan Amplas, North Sumatra. The sample consisted of old chayote and young chayote. The samples were treated by wet digestion. The assay was carried out using atomic absorption spectrophotometry with air-acetylene flame. Quantitative analysis of manganese, sodium and iron was carried out at wavelengths of 589.0 nm, 525 nm and 248.3 nm, respectively. The results showed that the levels of manganese, sodium and iron minerals in the old chayote were (0,1382±0,0036) mg/100g, (0,1382±0,0036) mg/100g, (0,2937±0,0029) mg/100g. The mineral content of manganese, sodium and iron in young chayote were (0,0758±0,0121) mg/100g, (9,8703±0,0335) mg/100g, (0,3438±0,0072) mg/100g.There is a difference between the mineral content found in old chayote and young chayote with manganese and iron content in young chayote which is higher than old chayote and sodium content in old chayote is lower than young chayote.

Abstract

Tuberkulosis (TB) adalah penyakit infeksi kronis yang masih merupakan permasalahan serius yang ditemukan pada penduduk dunia termasuk dunia termasuk Indonesia. Penyakit paru yang disebabkan oleh mycobacterium tuberculosis ditemukan telah menginfeksi hampir sepertiga penduduk dunia dan telah menjadi masalah kesehatan utama secara global. Dukungan keluarga memiliki peran penting bagi individu dalam memenuhi tantangan hidup sehari-hari termasuk pada pasien. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan mekanisme koping penderita TB paru dalam menjalani pengobatan di puskesmas pancur batu. Jenis penelitian cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampling Accidental sampling. Jumlah sampel 31 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar kuesioner. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan dulungan keluarga secara emosional dengan mekanisme koping Penderita TB Paru dengan melakukan uji Chi-Square dengan nilai p value < 0,05 yaitu p < 0,00 dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Dengan hasil tersebut disarankan kepada keluarga untuk tetap memberikan dukungan keluarga secara maksimal agar dapat meningkatkan mekanisme koping penderita TB Paru Sehingga Pasien Dapat menjalankan Pengobatan secara teratur

Abstract

Fever can be defined as a state of body temperature above normal more than 37.5 oC. Fever is characterized as a symptom of infectious and non-infectious diseases. One way to reduce fever with traditional medicine is the Moringa plant. Moringa plant (Moringa oleifera Lam.) which contains flavonoid compounds is known to be efficacious as a fever reducer. This study aims to determine the formulation of the ethanolic extract of Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera Lam.) in hydrogel plaster as a fever reducer. This research method includes simplicia characterization, phytochemical screening, and extraction by maceration. The extract was made in three hydrogel formulations as a fever-reducing plaster with a composition of every 30 g of preparation containing 5 g (FI), 7.5 g (FII), and 10 g (FIII) leaf extract. The tests carried out included organoleptic tests, pH tests, viscosity tests, homogeneity tests and temperature reduction tests on test animals. From the research results, the data were analyzed using SPSS with ANOVA test followed by Tukey's test. The results of the three Moringa leaf extract hydrogel formulas, namely FI, FII and FIII have the same characterization, namely semi-solid form, distinctive odor and brown color, hydrogel pH 5.0-6.5, viscosity 35380-93920 cP and homogeneous. The results of the decrease in body temperature of mice showed that FIII was the most effective in reducing the body temperature of mice with a time of 60 minutes.

Abstract

Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) is a type of green vegetable that is still a group with mustard. Pakcoy is a vegetable of immigrants from abroad. This vegetable is popular especially among people of Chinese descent. Sawi pakcoy contains vitamin A and vitamin C. The use of sawi pakcoy as a nutraceutical product is still relatively rare. The objective of this research was to find out that sawi pakcoy juice (Brassica rapa L.) can be made into preparations nutraceutical gummy candies and can find out which formula respondents prefer the most and the results of the best physical evaluation in gummy candies preparations. Samples of sawi pakcoy were formulated into gummy candies preparations with variations in sucrose concentrations of 115 mg, 230 mg, 345 mg, 460 mg, and 575 mg. All preparations were tested by organoleptic testing, weight uniformity, pH test, stability and hedonics by respondents of color, taste, aroma/smell, shape, and texture, then the results were compared to requirements in the literature. The results of the evaluation of gummy candies preparations state that gummy candies preparations meet physical quality. From the data it could be concluded that the preparation of gummy candies from sawi pakcoy’s essence showed the most preferred test results of gummy candies preparations, namely formula 5 with sucrose levels of 575 mg. The coefficient value of variation for the weight uniformity test was best compared to other formulas was formula 5 which was 575 mg. The pH value for the entire formula was 5. From stability tests it was known that the most stable formula was formula 5 which was stored at room temperature (25 °C).

Abstract

Penyakit Hipertensi merupakan penyumbang utama resiko kematian terbesar. Terapi pengobatan pasien hipertensi memerlukan waktu yang lama bahkan sampai dengan seumur hidup. Terapi antihipertensi dapat menggunakan pengobatan tunggal maupun kombinasi agar tercapainya tekanan darah yang normal. Bentuk penelitian ini merupakan deskriptif yang bersifat retrospektif dengan menggunakan total sampel data rekam medik sebanyak 60 pasien dari periode bulan Januari – Desember 2020 bertempat di RSU Imelda Pekerja Indonesia Medan. Analisis data yang diperoleh dikalikan dengan 100% sehingga didapat suatu nilai dalam bentuk persentase. Hasil penelitian karakteristik pasien berdasarkan kelompok usia terbesar adalah 51-60 tahun sebanyak 26 pasien (43,3%) sedangkan kelompok usia terkecil adalah 81-90 tahun sebanyak 1 pasien (1,7%). Terhadap karakteristik pasien berdasarkan jenis kelamin menunjukkan kelompok pasien terbesar adalah perempuan sebanyak 36 pasien (60%) sedangkan laki-laki sebanyak 24 pasien (40%). Karakteristik berdasarkan tekanan darah menunjukkan persentase terbesar pada tekanan darah derajat 2 sebanyak 30 pasien (50%). Terapi antihipertensi golongan obat kombinasi CCB + ARB yang diberikan adalah Amlodipin + Candersartan dan Amlodipin + Valsartan. Dimana jumlah pasien hipertensi yang paling banyak diberikan obat hipertensi kombinasi adalah Amlodipin + Candersartan yaitu 77% dibandingkan Amlodipin + Valsartan yaitu 23%. Persentase kombinasi amlodipin 10 mg dan candersartan 8 mg merupakan terapi pengobatan antihipertensi terbanyak yang diberikan kepada pasien yaitu 54% dan Persentase kombinasi amlodipin 10 mg dan Vandersartan 8 mg merupakan terapi pengobatan antihipertensi terbanyak yang diberikan kepada pasien yaitu 50%. Kerasionalan penggunaan obat hasil evaluasi terhadap JNC8 sudah sesuai meliputi kriteria tepat indikasi, tepat pasien dan tepat dosis dimana masing-masing kriteria memiliki nilai 100%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif yang dilakukan di Laboratorium Penelitian Fakultas Farmasi Universitas Muslim Nusantara Al-Washliyah Medan dan Laboratorium Lembaga Pengkajian Pangan Obat dan Kosmetika Majelis Ulama Indonesia (LPPOM-MUI) Kota Medan pada bulan april 2021. Tahapan penelitian ini meliputi pengolahan bahan tumbuhan, pembuatan ekstrak etanol, pemeriksaan karakterisasi, skrining fitokimia, serta uji aktivitas antioksidan daun bakung (Hymenocallis littoralis (Jacq.) Salisb.) dan vitamin C sebagai kontrol positif. Ekstrak etanol daun bakung dibuat dengan metode maserasi dengan menggunakan etanol 96% dan ekstrak yang diperoleh dipekatkan dengan rotary evaporator, Selanjutnya ekstrak dilakukan uji aktivitas antioksidan dengan menggunakan spektrofotometri Visible. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun bakung (Hymenocallis littoralis (Jacq.) Salisb) mengandung senyawa kimia seperti glikosida, flavonoid, saponin, tanin, dan triterpenoid. Penentuan aktivitas Antioksidan daun bakung (Hymenocallis littoralis (Jacq.) Salisb.) dan vitamin C diperoleh hasil nilai IC50 secara berurut yaitu 4.535,33 µg/mL dan 11,62 µg/mL . Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun bakung (Hymenocallis littoralis (Jacq.) Salisb.) mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder dan beraktivitas antioksidan dengan kategori lemah,namun masih dua kali lebih kuat dibandingkan aktivitas antioksidan dari vitamin C.
