Jurnal Penelitian Ilmu Ushuluddin (e-ISSN 2774-8340) is a peer-reviewed journal that is published by the Faculty of Ushuluddin UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. This Journal publishes current original research on religious studies and Islamic studies using an interdisciplinary perspective, especially within Islamic Theology (Ushuluddin) studies and its related teachings resources: Religious studies, Islamic thought, Islamic philosophy, Quranic studies, Hadith studies, and Islamic mysticism. Reviewers will review any submitted paper. The review process employs a double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa.

Abstract

Previous interpretation of QS. al-Anbiya’ ayat 7 states that this verse is the argument that the messenger is only from men. However, it turns out that the word rijāl in QS. al-Anbiya’ ayat 7 there are indications of the meaning of women which is correlated with rijāl in other verses in the Koran. This shows that there are differences in interpreting interpretations depending on the interpreter's period. This study aims to examine the historical meaning, historical significance, and contemporary dynamic significance of QS. al-Anbiya’ ayat 7   to find relevant and progressive meanings to the present. This research was assessed using qualitative methods. literature review comes from data sources related to research with the ma'nā cum magzā approach theory. This theory was chosen because it has a structured and comprehensive work tool in offering interpretations of the Koran, because it has united classical science with multidisciplinary knowledge. This research got the result that QS. al-Anbiya’ ayat 7 actually does not focus on the issue of apostolic identity, but this verse indicates a connection with the statement of the Quraysh who doubted the Prophet Muhammad SAW as a messenger, then, in terms of historical significance, the message of the verse is an affirmation that the Prophet Muhammad SAW receiving revelation and in terms of contemporary dynamic significance reveals the importance of having competence in preaching which includes several strategies to approach aspects of sociology, psychology, culture and the wise command to ask scientific professionals who are experts in their fields.

Abstract

Shaykh Nawawi al-Bantani is one of the scholars who has made significant contributions to various fields of Islamic knowledge in Indonesia, including the hadiths of the Prophet. Therefore, this research aims to describe the role and contribution of Shaykh Nawawi al-Bantani in the field of hadith. The method used in this research is descriptive with a literature review approach. The analytical technique employed is qualitative content analysis. The results of this research include: Shaykh Nawawi al-Bantani's role and contribution to the study of hadith in the Indonesian archipelago cannot be separated from the roles of his disciples (santri) and his works, which continue to be taught to the community, especially within the environment of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren).

Abstract

Thomas Kuhn's thinking in this case is used as an analytical knife to see the revolution in science and education in general. For Thomas Kuhn, the history of science is a starting point in studying fundamental issues in scientific epistemology because science is basically always marked by a strong scientific paradigm and revolution afterward. The purpose of this study is to find out the philosophical foundations of Thomas S. Kuhn's scientific paradigm. The method used is a qualitative approach by applying a descriptive-analytical method. The results of this study show that, according to Kuhn, a paradigm is a set of beliefs, values, methods, and practices that are widely accepted by the scientific community.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present an ideal Qur'anic leadership model, using the perspective of the Qur'an and the interpretation of the story of the Prophet Sulaiman AS as the main source of inspiration. The writing of this work also used qualitative techniques based on literature searches and the Maudhu'i method. This paper concludes that the message of wisdom in the Al-Qur'an conveys a leadership concept that includes intellectual and spiritual capabilities, capabilities for cadre formation and good communication, good managerial capabilities, good social responsibility, and a disciplined and firm attitude. Through revitalization efforts, it is hoped that the idea of a leadership prototype from the perspective of the Qur'an will be a trigger for the birth of benefits in world life, especially in Indonesia. The weakness of this article is that it only discusses the leadership prototype of one prophet's story. In subsequent writings, this study suggests exploring more specifically the Al-Qur'an exegetical literature on leaders in order to explore more diverse and comprehensive Qur'anic leadership values as criteria for quality leaders.

Abstract

This research aims to examine more deeply the study of semiotics on the story of people who were doomed in the Qur'an, one of them being the Sodomites. Examining the values and messages conveyed through the signs and symbols in the story with a semiotic approach initiated by Ferdinand de Saussure in the form of signifiers and signifieds, syntagmatic and paradigmatic relations. As well as with the narrative semiotic approach initiated by A.J. Greimas in describing the storyline of the Prophet Luth. This study uses a descriptive-analytic method which is based on qualitative data about the story of Prophet Luth and the people of Sodom in the Qur'an using the semiotic approach of Saussure and A.J Greimas. Many studies of the Qur'an have begun to be carried out using a semiotic approach in its interpretation. Deeper research on one of the stories in the Qur'an with a semiotic approach will lead us to many lessons and reveal the secrets behind the symbols and signs that exist in it. The result of this research is, it is found that the story of Prophet Luth and his people in the Qur'an is repeated many times by Allah with different verses and different storylines. In fact, it is part of the symbol that repetition occurs to give its respective purpose in several different places and as a complement to one another. Likewise, with Saussure's theory, there are many symbols and signs that God sent to commemorate them as well as us. The actions they commit are called heinous acts because they are the same as adultery, so the punishment for them according to fiqh scholars is the same as haad for adultery. As well as the narrative story of Prophet Luth which is more directed in a more directed manner with the Greimas narrative. Then the teachings and moral messages from the story of Prophet Luth can be wisdom and lessons for the people after him. This research is still limited to symbols in general, so future research can reveal symbols and signs and the secrets behind the language and every word in the verse.
