This study analyzes the meaning of symbols in Bear Brand Milk Advertising (2021). The author aims to reveal the meaning of the symbols contained in the Bear Brand milk advertisement (2021). This study uses a qualitative method with a semiotic approach to the Roland Barthes model. Data were collected by analyzing sentences and visuals that appeared in Bear Brand's (2021) milk advertisements. There are two types of meaning, namely denotation and connotation contained in the sign of a black creature, a white dragon and a can of milk packaging contained in the Bear Brand (2021) milk advertisement. The sign serves as a bridge to represent the message that will be conveyed in Bear Brand dairy products. Keywords: Denotation, Conotation, signifier, signified

This study aims to determine the responses of respondents to the kanji tabi game learning media. The method used is the ADDIE method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Making kanji tabi game using Godot engine software. Questionnaires were used as a tool to collect respondents' responses and distributed to 16 11th grade students at MA Alhuda Pameungpeuk. The results of respondents' responses to the kanji tabi game learning media show that kanji tabi is included in the neutral interval and agrees with the criterion value of 572 on the rating scale. The results of these criteria can be concluded that the media for learning the kanji tabi game is quite good and can help beginners learn kanji N5. This media is expected to help students in learning the N5 kanji. Keywords: Japanese language, kanji N5, learning media, godot engine

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh struktur kepribadian tokoh Reika dalam novel Zettai Seigi karya Akiyoshi Rikako. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analisis, sedangkan pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan psikologi sastra, teori struktur kepribadian Sigmund Freud yang meliputi id, ego, superego. data penlitian ini berupa kata-kata dan tindakan serta kutipan yang berkaitan dengan struktur kepribadian tokoh Reika. Sumber data diperoleh dari novel Zettai Seigi Karya Akiyoshi Rikako. Instrumen utama penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri serta dibantu oleh buku-buku kesusastraan, artikel dan hasil penelitian, jurnal, serta arsip perkuliahan dan data-data yang menunjang. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa struktur kepribadian tokoh Reika dalam novel Zettai Seigi karya Akiyoshi Rikako yang terbagi menjadi tiga unsur, yakni id, ego, superego yang didominasi dengan egonya. Kata kunci: Struktur kepribadian, kecemasan, Psikoanalisis

GIONGO DALAM MANGA GEKKAN SHOJO NOZAKI-KUN KARYA IZUMI TSUBAKI Aditya Muhamad Muldani; Mohammad Ali

This study aims to describe the giongo in Gekkan Shojo Nozaki-kun Vol.1 manga based on the type of sound, function, and contextual meaning. The research method used by the author is a qualitative descriptive method. The results of this study found 57 types of giongo onomatopoeias which is “pon” means clapping, “sutt” means fast movement, “bashitt” means slamming, “garatt” means friction, “kyutt-kyutt” means rubbing markers friction, “shatt-shatt” means penctil friction, “shaako-shaako” means bicycle pedaling, “shaka-shaka” means fast bicycle pedaling, “pipiitt” means flute sound, “kashatt” means camera sound. The author hopes that further research can examine other types of onomatopoeias and from a grammatical point of view. This research is entitled Social Interaction of Honami Characters with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome in Novel Seibo which discusses polycystic ovary syndrome as the main setting that affects social interactions in the main character. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the form of social interaction of the Honami character in the novel Seibo. The research method used is a qualitative method using library research techniques and descriptive analysis with a sociology of literature approach. The results of this study are the social interactions contained in the novel Seibo include Associative which is a form of interaction in positive terms, and dissociative is a form of interaction in negative terms. Associative interactions in Honami include cooperation and accommodation. Meanwhile, dissociative interactions include conflict, competition, and contravention. This research aims to describe the form of the character of Midoriko who is experiencing puberty in the novel Chichi to Ran by Kawakami Mieko in terms of Albertine Minderop's characterization theory, namely direct and indirect methods. The research method used in this research is descriptive analysis with a structural approach. The main data source of this research is the novel Chichi to Ran by Kawakami Mieko. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the characteristics of Midoriko's character in the novel Chichi to Ran are a woman who is just a teenager, going through puberty which makes her character sensitive and unstable, making her question her biological function. This paper entitled “Goiizu Application Design for Shokyuu Goi Learning” is aimed to determine the design of the Goiizu application as a basic Japanese vocabulary learning or Shokyuu Goi. Goiizu Media was created using Adobe Flash Professional CS6. The method used in this research is the ADDIE model development method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The explanation in Goiizu media design consists of several steps, such as the design of the opening display to the profile menu. Media Goiizu discusses basic Japanese vocabulary with material taken from the book NIHONGO KIRAKIRA Class X. The conclusion from this research is that the design of the Goiizu application for learning Shokyuu Goi vocabulary has been successfully carried out. This study aims to analyze the characterization technique of Kusunoki in Miaki Sugaru's novel Mikkakan no Kōfuku. The method used in this research is the descriptive analysis method with the characterization analysis technique proposed by Orson Scott Card. This study uses 20 citations as a result of data findings. The results of this study indicate that several variables are forming the character of Kusunoki, namely: motives, past, reputation, stereotypes, friendship networks, habits and patterns, talents and abilities, tastes and preferences. This research aimed to analyses feminism and gender inequality in the novel The God of small things by Arundhati Roy. The writer aims to reveal the types of feminism, gender inequalities are reflected in the novel. In this research, gender inequality theory is used to determine the types of gender inequality experienced by the characters in the novel God of Small Things, beside of that, feminism theory is used to show how women can overcome gender inequality. Furthermore, this paper uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data is gathered through quotations from the book, and the analysis is backed up by the book and the journal. The base theory is based from what types of feminism type and what kind of gender inequality, the type of gender inequality that experienced by woman including stereotypes, violence, marginalization, double burden and subordination and there are four feminism movements ideology, which are liberal feminism, radical feminism, Marxist feminism, and socialist feminism. Besides that, in this research the author discovered three kinds of gender inequality experienced by women: violence as the part of radical feminism, marginalization as the part of liberal feminism, and subordination as the part of socialist feminism. As the result of this research is to show and identifying what kind of gender inequality and feminism according to the theory. Keywords: Feminism, Gender inequalities, Patriarchy

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kelas sosial dan ekonomi di dalam novel The Great Gatsby karya Scott Fitzgerald berdasarkan perspektif teori sastra Marxisme. Kelas sosial adalah kemampuan manusia untuk memenuhi berbagai kebutuhan tergantung pada keterlibatan mereka dalam hubungan sosial dengan orang lain untuk mengubah lingkungan material melalui kegiatan produktif mereka. Definisi ekonomi adalah sesuatu yang berkaitan dengan deskripsi dan analisis produksi, distribusi, dan konsumsi barang dan jasa. Ketika berpikir tentang kelas sosial dan situasi ekonomi, ada beberapa contoh teks yang mencerminkan pengalaman Fitzgerald dalam novel. Penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif untuk menganalisis tulisan ini. Temuannya adalah Novel The Great Gatsby membahas topik tentang uang, kekayaan, dan kelas, yang merupakan tema utama yang mendorong plot, dan menunjukkan bagaimana karakter berperilaku, berpikir, dan berkolaborasi dengan karakter yang berbeda. Nick adalah narator dalam Novel The Great Gatsby dan dia adalah karakter yang pengalamannya sama dengan Fitzgerald yang menggambarkan semua sikap karakter, kelas dan situasi ekonomi dalam cerita ini. Perspektif Marxisme mengatakan bahwa ini adalah representasi dari fakta bahwa orang tidak pernah puas dengan apa yang mereka miliki, bahkan jika mereka tampaknya memiliki segalanya. Tema materialisme melingkupi sebagian besar Great Gatsby, dan pada akhirnya, tidak ada yang pantas mendapatkannya. Kata kunci: Marxisme, Kelas Sosial, Ekonomi
