Abstract

Contemporary Javanese music, particularly Campursari, blends traditional gamelan instruments with modern genres such as pop, dangdut, and keroncong. This hybrid style has gained popularity among Millennials and Generation Z, who often perceive it as familiar, calming, and emotionally comforting. This study examines whether listening to contemporary Javanese music influences the sleep quality of Generation Z in Yogyakarta. A quantitative research approach was employed using a survey distributed through Google Forms to 50 participants aged 19–26 years. The questionnaire measured listening frequency, emotional responses to the music, and perceived sleep quality using a Likert scale. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS with descriptive statistics, including the Kolmogorov–Smirnov normality test, linear regression, and tests for heteroscedasticity and multicollinearity. The results indicate a positive relationship between listening to contemporary Javanese music and improved sleep quality. The familiar and emotionally soothing characteristics of Campursari appear to help listeners relax and reduce stress before sleep. These findings suggest that culturally rooted music may serve as a simple, non-pharmacological approach to supporting better sleep and emotional well-being among young adults..

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) within the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) framework at the village government level, focusing on governance, community engagement, and livelihood sustainability. The study employed a qualitative approach with an interpretive case study strategy, through document review and in-depth interviews. The results indicate that CI practices at the village level are contextual and adaptive, and most closely align with the incremental (Kaizen) approach that emphasizes incremental improvement, community participation, and continuous learning. The PDCA cycle serves as a reflective mechanism that allows village governments and communities to adjust policies and programs based on empirical evaluation and social feedback. Theoretically, these findings extend the study of CI in the local public sector by emphasizing its relevance to village governance. Practically, this study demonstrates that strengthening documentation, data-driven evaluation, and human resource capacity are key to CI sustainability at the village level.

Abstract

Librarians, as information specialists, play a vital role in managing and providing access to digital libraries. Despite the availability of digital information through repositories and digital libraries, a gap remains between users and their effective utilization. This underscores the importance of librarians in facilitating access and supporting users. This study analyzes the role, competencies, and challenges faced by librarians at the UPA Library of the University of Bengkulu in the digital knowledge ecosystem. A qualitative descriptive approach was used, with data collected through semi-structured interviews with four librarians and two users, direct observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that librarians act as information specialists by providing access through the OPAC system, repositories, digital libraries, e-journals, Springer Digital References, Instagram, and the library website. They evaluate and ensure credible digital information sources, preserve and back up collections, and assist users in information searches. However, librarians face challenges such as budget constraints, low user awareness, limited human resources, network issues, restricted access, and inadequate collections. These findings contribute to understanding the role of librarians as information specialists.

Abstract

The development of social media has driven changes in digital marketing communication strategies, including within educational institutions such as Juara Academy. This study aims to analyze digital marketing communication strategies through Instagram in increasing student enrollment, identify gaps between social media performance and conversion rates, and formulate efforts to optimize these strategies. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, as well as the AIDA framework (attention, interest, desire, action). The results indicate that digital marketing communication strategies have been systematically implemented through the utilization of Instagram features such as feed, story, reels, and live to capture attention, build interest, generate desire, and ultimately encourage enrollment actions. However, a gap was found between high engagement levels and suboptimal enrollment conversions, influenced by technical factors such as inconsistent content posting and a lack of integration across communication stages. Strategic optimization is therefore necessary through strengthening content consistency, enhancing more personalized interactions, and leveraging persuasive approaches based on audience experience. This study provides practical contributions to the management of digital marketing communication as well as theoretical contributions to the development of social media–based marketing communication studies.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low basic multiplication skills of third-grade elementary school students, particularly in conceptual understanding, calculation accuracy, and problem-solving abilities. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of the Jarimatika method combined with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students’ basic multiplication skills. This study employed a quantitative approach using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The participants were 30 third-grade students of SD Negeri Sukanegara. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ multiplication skills after the treatment, as indicated by the increase in the mean score from 55.17 in the pretest to 80.00 in the posttest. The paired sample t-test analysis revealed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (t = -10.951, p = 0.000 < 0.05). The findings indicate that the implementation of the Jarimatika method combined with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model effectively improves students’ basic multiplication skills and supports more active and meaningful mathematics learning.

Abstract

The Family Hope Program (Program Keluarga Harapan/PKH) is Indonesia's primary conditional cash transfer (CCT) scheme for poverty alleviation. This study examines PKH effectiveness in improving household welfare among beneficiaries in Oebobo District, Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), employing a Three-Stage Least Squares (3SLS) simultaneous equation approach. The analysis integrates a Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) perspective to evaluate Access, Participation, Control, and Benefit (APCB) dimensions for vulnerable groups. A mixed-methods explanatory sequential design was applied to 151 beneficiary households selected via proportional sampling across three urban sub-districts. The 3SLS estimations establish that targeting accuracy (X1) and economic empowerment (X3) are the most significant determinants of PKH effectiveness; PKH effectiveness (Y1) strongly shapes household governance (Y2) through the Family Capacity Building Meetings (P2K2) mechanism; and PKH effectiveness is the dominant determinant of household welfare (Y3), with a near-unity coefficient (β=0.97). GEDSI analysis reveals that female-headed households, the elderly, and persons with disabilities face compounding vulnerabilities inadequately addressed by current program design. The study recommends strengthening data verification systems, embedding economic empowerment as a core pillar, and adopting differentiated targeting based on intersectional vulnerability profiles.
