<![CDATA[Kana'an Jaya Orphanage is one of the privately owned social institutions that was originally a shelter for abandoned children and orphans who came from several areas of political conflict in the Papuan Mountains. In 2019 there was a flash flood disaster that ravaged their building facilities. Some facilities, such as the reading room, were destroyed. Inadequate facilities for learning are certainly a factor in not realizing the development of human resources as desired by the Chair of the Foundation. So in accordance with the goals of the chairman of the foundation, the Community Service team renovated the reading room while also equipping reading facilities such as bookshelves, reading tables, reading books as well as repairing and maintaining parts of the room that can provide comfort and increase children's reading intentions. The method of implementing this community service program includes surveys on the availability of supporting facilities for children's libraries. Arrangement of a comfortable library space for children by providing library shelves and books. As a result, the procurement of a library at the orphanage can be carried out, with facilities provided in the form of 4 bookshelves and reading books. <![CDATA[Some community groups in Jayapura City smoke fish using iron wood, matoa wood, or coconut shells and from the roasting results it can be seen that the physical color can vary in the fish. The aim of the activity is to conduct training for a group of people with the aim of helping community groups to be able to participate in applying fish preservation from natural ingredients, namely by using liquid smoke. The training was held in July 2022 in Buton Village, Yabansai Village, Heram District, Jayapura City with lecture and practice methods. The evaluation was carried out to find out whether the participants were skilled in using liquid smoke in processing asar fish using liquid smoke. clean. <![CDATA[This community service activity aims to introduce the ability to describe a series of past events through learning English at the Department of Medical Laboratory Medic of Jayapura Health Polytechnic in order to develop their ability to write and explain a series of events that have occurred previously in English well by developing their creativity and previous experience in communicating with other people. Specifically, this activity introduces how to develop students' thinking abilities and creativity using previous experience and knowledge as well as communicating in English orally as one of the assets that are needed by a reliable medical laboratory in the future. Jayapura Health Polytechnic (Poltekes Jayapura) is an institution that operates in two strategic fields, namely education, and health. Altogether in the field of education and health, they will produce prospective medical workers who are currently very much needed by the community in terms of laboratory test examinations regarding the pandemic and endemic era and also international needs that require not only lab skills but also foreign language skills in English that are qualified. This service activity also aims to introduce the importance of exploring and exploring previous/past knowledge and experiences and utilizing motivating and inspiring others in solving various problems that will be faced by each individual in everyday life. This activity was carried out approximately three times with material on the language rules needed to describe the events of the light period in English, surveys of the location of service implementation, implementation of community service, and seminars on community service results. This activity showed that the students of the Technical Laboratory Medic (TLM) Department of Poltekes Jayapura realized the importance of having the ability to describe a series of past events in English, and students became more skilled in describing past events in English. <![CDATA[Gereja Kristen Injili (GKI) Martin Luther Sentani is one of the churches located in Sentani District, Jayapura. Based on interviews with several Sunday school teachers, information was obtained that Sunday school worship is carried out online. However, in making Sunday school worship videos, there are several problems, such as the lack of professional IT staff, some Sunday school teachers can only edit videos via handphones, and the knowledge of Sunday school teachers about software for editing videos on PC or laptops is very low. Taking into account these problems, the Sunday school teachers in this case Badan Pengurus PAR GKI Martin Luther Sentani and the service team deem it necessary to hold activities that involve Sunday school teachers in editing online Sunday school worship videos so that there is a lack of IT personnel. in video editing can be fulfilled even though not professionally. The purpose of this activity is to inform or introduce filmora software for video editing and to hone the skills of Sunday school teachers in video editing. In the implementation of this service activity, several methods were used, namely: the lecture method, the question and answer method, and demonstration. Overall this activity went well. Participants enthusiastically participated in this service activity starting from introductions, delivery and explanation of material, and practice in editing and making videos. <![CDATA[Physics needs to be introduced to children early to generate interest in physics. One way is to do simple experiments using tools that can be found around us. Here the investigation is to make a physical model in the form of a lemon battery. This activity was carried out without a long and detailed explanation of the theory of physics because the target community here were children aged seven to twelve years. The purpose is for children to know that lemons can be used as batteries to turn on LED lights. The benefits of this activity are that it can stimulate children's curiosity and problem-solving skills, help social and emotional development, and improve communicative and cognitive abilities. The results showed that the involved children were active and enjoyed their scientific activities. In addition, they also were able to answer questions appropriately and correctly. It is an indicator of the success of this activity. <![CDATA[The teacher is the dominant factor in the learning process at school. In the learning process, teachers are required to master the material being taught. Mastery of the material to be taught is an absolute requirement for the teacher, teachers can make textbooks or modules from the subjects being taught to better understand the material taught by a teacher. Making textbooks requires willingness, perseverance, commitment and lots of references. The sample of this research is the teachers of SMP Negeri 4 Jayapura as many as 17 teachers. The research activity was carried out, first the author gave a pre-test instrument to the teachers about the knowledge of textbook writing. Researchers provide material about the knowledge of writing textbooks, how to collect references, via the internet, textbooks, modules and journals. Textbook writing, code of ethics norms for editing teaching materials, Indonesian grammar according to textbook writing standards. The teaching materials were delivered, followed by questions and answers and discussions with activity participants. The activities carried out went well, it could be seen from the enthusiasm and motivation of the participants to take part in the activities. The materials prepared by the activity implementers were 98% complete. Participants in the activity were 17 participants, from the expected 15-20 teachers. After the material is taught, the post-test instrument is the same as the pre-test. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, the teacher gained an increase in knowledge about writing teaching materials with an average n-Gain of 0.41 including the medium category.Keywords: teaching materials; teachers; n-Gain]]>

<![CDATA[The counseling activities Improving Clean and Healthy Behavior through Environmental Cleanliness as an Effort to Prevent and Eradicate Mosquitoes in Residents of BPD Graha Bintang Timur, Sentani District Jayapura Regency, have been conducted on May 7, 2022. The activity aims to motivation the community about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and environmental health in preventing and eradicating malaria mosquito nests, as well as to provide understanding to the public in protect the environment so as to avoid malaria caused by an unhealthy environment. While the benefit of this activity is to increase public understanding in maintaining environmental health, as well as fostering public awareness in clean and healthy living behavior. The methods used in this activity were lectures, discussions and questions as well as answers. The implementation of counseling activity of environmental health began with self-introduction by the team of presenters, then the team of presenters tried to dig basic knowledge of the community about sanitation and environmental hygiene. With the existence of this community service activity on environmental health, hopefully it can increase the knowledge of the residents of BPD Graha Bintang Timur Sentani about a style of healthy life for the sake of creating a better quality of life, and is able to increase the awareness of the people of BPD Graha Bintang Timur Sentani to participate actively in maintaining cleanliness and environmental health.Keywords: sanitation; environmental cleanliness; BPD Graha Bintang Timur Sentani ]]>

<![CDATA[The implementation of the construction of Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) room at the Faculty of Engineering, Cenderawasih University is a form of support for the appeal of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (KEMENDIKBUD RISTEKDIKTI) as stated in the Guidelines for the Implementation of Student Organization Activities No. 0241/E/E2/KM.09.00/2022. Student activities under student organizations are a forum for students to develop their capacity as students in the form of aspirations, initiations, or positive, and creative ideas through participation in various relevant activities. The purpose of this service activity is to provide a UKM building for each Department Student Association (Himpunan Mahasiswa Jurusan–HMJ) as a forum for implementing student activities at the Faculty of Engineering, Cenderawasih University. The realization of the UKM building construction activities was carried out through four stages of work. First, budget design by setting a format of 80% of the total cost for the main building fund and 20% for emergency funds. Second, the design of the UKM building is adjusted to the dedicated fund. Third, procurement of materials and building worker services. Fourth, the SME building construction process. <![CDATA[Eco-enzyme is a multifunctional liquid produced from the fermentation of waste or organic waste, brown sugar/sugar, and water. Eco-enzyme is a magic liquid whose benefits are very environmentally friendly, such as in the eco-enzyme production process to produce O3 gas (same as planting 10 trees), one liter of eco-enzyme solution can purify polluted rivers, like an antiseptic. and fertilize the soil. This activity has been carried out at SMA Negeri 2 Skanto in 2022, but now it is devoted to the use of eco-enzymes for hydroponics and fish pond nutrition. The purpose of this activity is to first introduce a training program on the use of eco-enzymes for hydroponics and fish pond nutrition; second, through service, it can produce output in the form of a national service journal. This activity was held on Juny 14, 2022 at SMA Negeri 2 Skanto Keerom. The target audience involved in this activity are high school students. The selection of the target audience is based on the tasks and obligations of students to build Adiwiyata High School that loves the environment. The methods used in the implementation of this activity are lectures, simulations and practice on how to harvest and use it. In conclusion, the participants were enthusiastic and knowledgeable about harvesting and using ecoenzymes. <![CDATA[This science and technology implementation activity was carried out through counseling entitled "The Crimes of Pornography to Children in the Virtual World". This activity was carried out at the Abara Church of Kampung Enggros and the Alpha Omega Hamadi Pentecostal Church with participants from school age children to teenagers and young people. The purpose of this service is to provide an understanding of various kinds of child pornography crimes in cyberspace, provide information about the steps to prevent the occurrence of pornographic crimes in cyberspace, and provide an understanding of legal sanctions for pornography crimes against children in cyberspace. It was seen in this activity that the counseling participants were enthusiastic in receiving the material provided, indicated by various responses and good responses from the participants who asked questions during the counseling. This activity is expected to be carried out regularly, not only for teenagers and young people, but also for parents as a form of prevention effort to reduce the number of victims of child pornography crimes in cyberspace in the future.Keywords: Pornography; Children; Law]]>
