Abstract

The removal of fuel subsidies in Nigeria remains a highly debated policy, with some experts viewing it as a driver of poverty and others as a fiscal reform opportunity to reallocate national resources. This study examines the economic consequences of fuel subsidy removal on road transportation costs in Delta State, focusing on its effects on commuters and transport operators while identifying viable policy interventions. Guided by the Resource Dependency Theory (RDT), the study employed a descriptive survey design. Data were collected through structured questionnaires administered to 240 purposively selected respondents, and analyzed using simple percentage and chi-square tests. The findings reveal that the removal of fuel subsidies significantly increased transportation costs in Delta State, while existing government measures to cushion the effects have shown limited success. The study recommends that the Delta State Government should revitalize the Delta Mass Transit system (popularly known as Uduaghan Bus) and promote the adoption of electric vehicles through targeted subsidies to mitigate rising transportation costs.

Abstract

China's Made in China 2025 (MIC 2025) policy, launched as an industrialization strategy to dominate the global technology sector, and its implications for trade tensions between China and the United States. Analyzing the United States' economic policy response to MIC 2025, as well as the impact of the trade conflict on global trade stability and developing countries. These tensions have caused supply chain disruptions, changes in global investment flows, and increased market uncertainty. Findings show that developing countries are in a strategic yet vulnerable position, with opportunities for industrial relocation but also risks of new economic dependencies. This study uses the theoretical framework of hegemonic stability, liberalism, and trade uncertainty to examine this conflict as part of the restructuring of the global economic order. The results emphasize the need for adaptive strategies, strengthening domestic competitiveness, and active participation in multilateral forums to reduce the negative impacts of global trade tensions.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has encouraged the implementation of digital systems within government institutions to create more effective, transparent, and efficient governance. One of the innovations supporting this goal is the development of website-based information systems, which serve as a step toward realizing good governance. However, observations indicate that many village governments in Indonesia still rely on traditional administrative methods, making adaptation to the current digital era challenging. This study employs literature research from various journals related to web-based information systems and aims to examine the impact and effectiveness of web-based public services in Putat Lor Village, Gondanglegi District, Malang Regency. The Putat Lor Village Government has developed a web-based public service system as an innovation initiated by the Population and Civil Registration Service to improve administrative performance and service delivery. The system simplifies community data management, allowing residents to access services without visiting the village office, thus saving time and effort. Despite these advantages, public understanding of this innovation remains limited, highlighting the need for further socialization and education efforts by the local government to ensure optimal utilization of the technology.

Abstract

Wheat is a strategic commodity that is critical to Indonesia's food security and food processing industry. Indonesia maintains significant trade relations with various supplier countries, including the Russian Federation, as the country is largely dependent on wheat imports. Using trends and data from the past five years, this article investigates the prospects and barriers in wheat trade between Indonesia and Russia. The study uses information from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the Ministry of Agriculture (MOA), the World Trade Committee (UNCTAD), and the International Double Committee (IGC). This analysis shows that while there are great opportunities to increase the volume of Russian wheat imports to Indonesia and bilateral cooperation opportunities, Russia's export protection policies, global price fluctuations, and geopolitical dynamics are the main issues affecting the stability of Indonesia's wheat supply. To maximize Indonesia's benefits from wheat trade, this article suggests ways to diversify import sources, improve supply chain efficiency, and enhance bilateral trade cooperation

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial literacy, digital literacy, and business knowledge on the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), with innovation as a mediating variable. Data were collected from MSME respondents in Central Jakarta using a structured survey. The analysis method used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. The results showed that financial literacy, digital literacy, and business knowledge have a significant influence on innovation and development of MSMEs. Directly, financial literacy affects innovation with a t-count value of 14.715 (p-value 0.000) and MSME development with a t-count value of 7.568 (p-value 0.000). Digital literacy shows a significant influence on innovation (t-count 15.082; p-value 0.000) and MSME development (t-count 8.654; p-value 0.000). Business knowledge also affects innovation (t-count 12.918; p-value 0.000) and MSME development (t-count 7.477; p-value 0.000). Testing the indirect effect through innovation shows significant results. Financial literacy influences MSME development through innovation with a t-count of 2.205 (p-value 0.022). Digital literacy shows a significant indirect influence on MSME development through innovation (t-count 2.197; p-value 0.023). Business knowledge is also shown to influence MSME development indirectly through innovation (t-count 2.195; p-value 0.023). Innovation is proven to be a mediator that strengthens the relationship between the three independent variables and MSME development. This research provides practical contributions in the form of recommendations for improving financial literacy, digital technology adoption, and better business understanding to support MSME innovation and growth. In addition, innovation is a strategic key in creating competitiveness and business sustainability in the midst of modern economic challenges.

Abstract

In a dynamic global marketing landscape, Apple's silent marketing strategy offers an interesting alternative approach to conventional promotional practices. Rather than relying on explicit advertising and persuasive language, Apple communicates through symbolic design, minimalist aesthetics, and immersive customer experiences. This study aims to analyze how Apple's silent marketing strategy adapts to local cultural values across various global markets without compromising its global brand identity. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this study synthesizes findings from 30 academic sources published between 2005 and 2024, covering markets such as the United States, Japan, and Indonesia. The results reveal three key findings: first, Apple consistently conveys its brand message through visual narratives and experiential design; second, Apple implements symbolic cultural adaptation by adjusting visual elements and spatial aesthetics to local norms; and third, consumer interpretation of silent communication is mediated by cultural context, particularly effective in high-context societies such as Japan and Indonesia. From a theoretical perspective, this study strengthens the relevance of cultural branding and cross-cultural communication theories in understanding how global brands operate. Practically, this study offers strategic implications for global marketers in balancing standardization with local sensitivity. Ultimately, silent marketing is not just a tactic, but a communication philosophy that constructs meaning through emotions, symbols, and cultural empathyto reduce the negative impacts of global trade tensions.
