Abstract

The implementation of this community service activity aims to increase the understanding of FKIP students at the Islamic University of Riau in working on TOEFL questions. This is very much needed by students as early as possible so that they can prepare themselves to compete in the world of work later after they graduate from college. The facts on the ground show that there are many job opportunities for those who have English proficiency both orally and in writing. Therefore, the service team sees the need for educators to equip students with the ability to work on TOEFL questions, so that later they will understand how to do it and get the maximum score according to the needs of the world of work. This service is carried out in the English laboratory of FKIP UIR. The mentoring participants were 25 final semester students of the English Education Study Program FKIP UIR. With this assistance, it is hoped that they will be motivated to study TOEFL and be able to prepare themselves to compete for jobs. This service activity received a positive response from all activity participants. They said that such activities could be carried out on an ongoing basis so that they would continue to receive guidance in studying the TOEFL. Furthermore, participants are motivated to continue to improve their ability to work on TOEFL questions in order to get better job opportunities for the future.

Abstract

Background Non-Communicable Disease Screening is a form of community participation in activities for early detection, monitoring and early follow-up of risk factors for non-communicable diseases independently and continuously. This activity was developed as a form of early awareness of non-communicable diseases considering that almost all risk factors for non-communicable diseases do not give symptoms to those who experience them. Risk factors for non-communicable diseases include smoking, consumption of alcoholic beverages, unhealthy eating patterns, lack of physical activity, obesity, stress, hypertension, hyperglycemia, hypercholesterolemia. Purpose is to improve the health status of the community through early detection of non-communicable diseases especially those with diabetes mellitus The method begins with interviews with health cadres in the Jogonayan village area, Magelang Regency, followed by an early detection program and health education. Results:. The health checks carried out were anthropometric measurements in the form of height, weight, abdominal circumference, blood pressure measurements and current blood sugar measurements. Of the 48 residents who took part in the detection, 37% had pre-hypertension, 15% had grade I hypertension and 18% had blood sugar >200 mg/dl and 10% did not suffer from hypertension or diabetes mellitus, 20% were in good health. Conclusion: Early detection of non-communicable diseases is very important to prevent further complications.

Abstract

Berbagai komplikasi persalinan yang sering dialami oleh ibu yaitu terkait dengan distosia akibat kelainan letak, Cephalopelvic disproportion, Emboli air ketuban, lilitan tali pusat, Fetal disstres, Perdarahan, Asfiksia perinatal, Retensio plasenta, Atonia uteri. Hal ini tentu menjadi masalah yang membutuhkan keterlibatan bidan sebagai pemberi layanan kepada ibu dan masyarakat berupa penyuluhan tentang Penyuluhan tentang Kepatuhan Kunjungan Antenatal Care terhadap Pencegahan Komplikasi Persalinan. Antenatal Care merupakan perawatan kesehatan yang diajukan kepada ibu hamil sebelum dan selama hamil dengan tujuan mendeteksi secara dini masalah kesehatan ibu dan janin, memberikan penyuluhan atau pendidikan kesehatan dan perencanaan persalinan.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is still a burden on health problems in Indonesia. And when Indonesia is also facing the Corona outbreak, this virus must be more wary of TB patients. Both of these diseases are respiratory pandemics that are transmitted through droplets. This activity aims to increase public knowledge about TB and Covid-19 related to healthy living behavior with new adaptations to prevent transmission and build public awareness to achieve successful TB treatment. The extension method provides leaflets which are distributed to participants as well as providing questionnaires before counseling (pre) and after counseling (post). the conclusion of the counseling that the results of knowledge and attitudes showed different results where for knowledge there was a difference before and after counseling while there was no difference in attitude before and after counseling

Abstract

Mother's Milk (ASI) contains many substances and nutrients that are very beneficial for the growth and development of babies. Breast milk contains fat, protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals that babies need. In addition, breast milk is also useful for forming the baby's body defense system so that it is not susceptible to diseases, such as diarrhea and pneumonia. Lavender aromatherapy is an inhalation method that uses aromatherapy, the positive impact of lavender aromatherapy has a relaxing effect on the central nervous system in the hypothalamus which helps increase the production of the hormone oxytocin which has an impact on increasing breast milk production. In addition to Lavender Aromatherapy which is able to provide a relaxing effect, one other alternative in providing a relaxing effect and being able to launch breast milk is the message relaxation method. Message is the most primitive pain therapy and uses human gentle reflexes to hold, rub, or squeeze painful body parts. It is hoped that with this health education activity the community, individual or group of breastfeeding mothers can find out how to massage oxytocin and use lavender oil and can be motivated to give exclusive breastfeeding to their babies so that their baby's growth and development can be maximized and change the mindset and motivation of mothers to give exclusive breastfeeding. with full awareness

Abstract

In order to improve the community development business system to be more productive and efficient, technology is needed. The introduction of technology that has developed in society is technology that has been developed in a modern way, or what is known as "appropriate technology" or technology and its applications that have the characteristics of decentralization, relatively small scale, labor intensive, energy efficient and closely related to local conditions. The growth and development of technology is determined by the conditions and level of isolation and openness of the community as well as the level of growth of the socio-economic life of the community. To introduce appropriate technology, it needs to be adapted to the needs, namely the needs that are oriented to such conditions, which are new goods for the community and need to be utilized and known by the community about its value and usefulness. The technology used can vary, in this counseling peanut ball was chosen as a medium to reduce labor pain in the first stage. It is hoped that after attending this counseling, pregnant women can find out how to reduce pain when facing the first stage so that they can be calmer in the process. later delivery.

Abstract

Elderly is synonymous with various declines in health status, especially physical health status. Various theories about the aging process show the same thing. The health status of the elderly which declines with age will affect the quality of life of the elderly. Increasing age will be accompanied by the emergence of various diseases, decreased body function, body balance and the risk of falling. The decline in the health status of the elderly is contrary to the desire of the elderly to remain healthy, independent and able to carry out activities as usual, such as bathing, dressing, moving independently. This activity aims to provide information to the public about the importance of maintaining reproductive health in improving the quality of life. This educational process uses the lecture method with the help of powerpoints and leaflets. The results obtained from this activity are that the youth participating in this service activity become more aware and know more about how to improve the quality of life, especially during this pandemic. The assessment is based on the response and enthusiasm of the participants in receiving the material provided. Including positive responses from participants in answering questions correctly when asked questions by the presenters.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that is seen from its population in the fourth position in the world, with a relatively high growth rate. The essence of the task of the Family Planning (KB) program in this case is clear, namely reducing fertility in order to reduce the burden of development for the realization of happiness and prosperity for the people and nation of Indonesia. As stated in Law No. 10 of 1992 concerning Population Development and Development of Prosperous Families, the definition of family planning is an effort to increase awareness and community participation through maturing the age of marriage, birth control, fostering family resilience, and increasing family welfare in order to create a small, happy family. and prosperous. Contraceptives are very useful in family planning programs, but it should be noted that not all contraceptives are suitable for everyone's condition. Contraceptive services (PK) is one type of family planning services available. Most family planning acceptors choose and pay for the various methods of contraception available. This counseling is carried out because it is based on the profession of midwives as health workers who provide services and education about the use of contraception so that extension workers are interested in providing counseling about the choice of contraception after childbirth.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan pemberdayaan masyarakat di desa Wolorega Kecamatan Mego Kabupaten Sikka dalam memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan rumah berbasis ramah lingkungan. Metode yang diterapkan oleh Tim PKM meliputi, sosialisasi/penyuluhan dan pelatihan/workshop pembuatan pupuk bokasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan PKM berlangsung dengan baik dan lancar. Program ini mampu memberi motivasi kepada masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan pekarangan rumah sebagai media budidaya tanaman dan pemanfaatan bahan organic sebagai pupuk bokasi yang secara tidak langsung akan meningkatkan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Kendala-kendala yang muncul pada tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan PPM dapat diatasi dengan metode monitoring, evaluasi dan pendampingan. Penerapan teknologi yang dilaksanakan telah menghasilkan pupuk organik sebagai alternatif pupuk anorganik yang ramah ingkungan serta kebun pekarangan contoh di rumah warga.

Abstract

Kegiatan pemasaran adalah suatu keharusan buat seluruh bisnis, terutama bisnis yang berorientasi pada pendapatan atau laba serta perusahaan katering. Nabi Muhammad mengajarkan manusia cara berdagang dan cara memasarkan dengan efektif. Persaingan adalah suatu hal yang biasa pada setiap usaha yg dijalankan. Rumah Makan Bebek Widodari ini memiliki kompetitor yg beroperasi di keahliannya masing-masing. Restoran Bebek Widodari menggunakan beberapa seni manajemen untuk bersaing menggunakan restoran lain dengan mengaplikasikan persaingan yang sehat. Tujuan penelitian ini : (1) Membuat memperjelas strategi pemasaran rumah Makan Bebek Widodari di Prefektur Kota Metro. (2) Mengetahui pertumbuhan penjualan tempat tinggal makan Bebek Widodari di Kota Metro. (3) Menyusun taktik pemasaran untuk meningkatkan penjualan rumah Makan Bebek Widodari Kabupaten Kota Metro berdasarkan Perspektif Ekonomi Syariah. Jenis pengamatan ini artinya deskriptif kualitatif secara metodologis. yaitu penelitian yang berkaitan menggunakan obyek penelitian. pada analisis data yang digunakan penulis artinya deskriptif. Yakni, analisis yang memberitahu suatu keadaan atau fenomena pada kata istilah atau frase serta mengklasifikasikan kepada kategori-kategori untuk menarik hasil akhir . hasil pengamatan : (1) strategi pemasaran yg diterapkan di Rumah Makan Bebek Widodari Kota Metro mengaplikasikan bauran pemasaran. (2) strategi bauran pemasaran sudah menemukan faktor pendukung serta penghalang pada upaya menaikkan penjualan pada Rumah Makan Bebek Widodari. (3) seni manajemen pemasaran untuk menaikkan penjualan Makan Bebek Widodari merupakan dengan menerapkan unsur ekonomi yg menduga seluruh aktifitas manusia yang selalu diawasi oleh sang pencipta, sebagai akibatnya menyampaikan akibat yang baik. sedang tampil.
