Abstract

AI image generator applications have been widely developed for various purposes in the process of creating fine arts and designs. One of them, OpenArt, provides a facility to develop sketch images into realistic images. This study aims to examine the effect of using this facility on students' mental burden in presenting ideas into realistic chair designs. Fourteen interior design students were involved in this study. The experimental method was used, where they were asked to work on the design of a lounge chair through the stages of sketching manually and with OpenArt. From the two steps of work before and after using this AI application, students were asked to fill out a questionnaire regarding the mental burden they felt. With descriptive data analysis, the experiment showed that OpenArt had a positive effect in helping to reduce students' mental burden in translating ideas into realistic images of chair designs. From these results, it can be concluded that this AI application is considered useful for the design learning process, especially in helping students substantially realize their original ideas without having to be burdened by the mind to work on technical visualization matters alone.

Abstract

Taking this paper makes a detailed analysis and research on the student workflow based on SSM. First, from the point of view of software engineering, combined with the characteristics of software systems, software engineering analysis and design. Then, based on the introduction of SSM architecture, combined with Java technology and related development tools, the system implementation process is described in detail. Experimental results show that the system has high efficiency and quality. Firstly, the requirements of the system are analyzed, and the main functions and implementation process are determined. On this basis, the overall structure of the system is proposed, and the functions of each module are divided and processed. Then, the database management system based on MySQL is applied to backstage database, and the system is programmed by IDEA development tool. After the system design is completed, the system is tested in detail. The experiment proves that the system can realize the automation and management of students' working process effectively.

Abstract

At present, most of China's higher education institutions have completed the computerization of library management, and library management is more scientific and efficient. However, many university library management systems have some problems, such as outdated functions, aging systems and unstable operation. In this paper, the authors designed a library management system. Under the Javaweb environment, the whole system is built using SpringMVC framework, MySQL database as the data storage support of the system, Windows 10 as the operating system, and Tomcat 8.0 as the web server. With the help of this technology stack, the problem of unstable operation of the previous system is solved, and a more efficient and stable library management information system is constructed, which not only reduces the workload of librarians, but also provides students with a more convenient book borrowing and lending experience, so that the library can play the most useful role in the campus life.

Abstract

This Pre-Order Food System for UNITARIANS was created to address common problems experienced by UNITAR student and staff, mainly during peak hours like before break time around 12:30noon to 2:30pm, where long queues and waiting times can disturb their schedules. This platform presents a user-friendly by letting users to login, browse a menu on the menu page, place pre-orders for food and drinks which in this process user need to enter their information, select a suitable pickup time, and make payments either online or cash. A few of user information will be saved inside the database and will be stored safely.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a chatbot for mental health by using the term frequency-inverse frequency (Tf-Idf) technique to represent text and support vector machines (SVM) for classification. This chatbot is designed to provide support and information to users seeking help with mental health issues. The dataset used to train the model includes mental health-related conversations, including conversations between mental health professionals and patients, as well as general conversations about mental health. The chatbot interface allows users to input their questions or concerns, which are then processed using Tf-Idf to vectorize the text data. These features are fed into an SVM model for classification, determining the appropriate response type, such as depression, anxiety, or general advice. Chatbot responses are generated based on the classification results, providing relevant information and support to the user. Chatbots are deployed on a platform where users can interact with them, and their performance is evaluated using metrics such as accuracy, precision, gain, and F1 score.

Abstract

Abstract— Student engagement is a crucial factor influencing learning outcomes in both traditional and modern education systems. Traditional approaches often struggle to sustain high levels of motivation and participation, particularly when students have diverse interests and learning preferences. This study explores the integration of a gamification system into the learning process to enhance student engagement at President University. The proposed system comprises three core components: (1) a Gamification App (Android & iOS) designed for students, incorporating game mechanics such as points, leaderboards, and rewards; (2) a Gamification Web Portal, which serves as an administrative bridge to the President University Information System (PUIS); and (3) the Academic Information System (PUIS) itself, providing real-time academic data. By leveraging gamification principles within a mobile-first approach, the system aims to make learning more interactive and rewarding. This paper presents the design and implementation of the gamification framework, with an ongoing evaluation to assess its impact on student engagement, motivation, and academic performance. Initial findings indicate that mobile gamification can effectively enhance participation, foster a sense of achievement, and create a more dynamic learning environment.

Abstract

Abstract-Optimizing production effectiveness is vital for competitiveness in modern manufacturing. One approach to minimizing waste is known as the Six Big Losses. A key tool for identifying these losses and assessing production efficiency is Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), which requires complete and reliable data for accurate calculation. This study presents a web-based OEE monitoring prototype using automated data recording and processing, tested on a steel wire drawing machine at XYZ LLC. The system incorporates an inductive proximity sensor, pulse meter, counter meter, and a PC, with Node-RED handling data collection and transmission to a server for real-time visualization. Testing showed 100% accuracy in speed measurement and product counting, with an average latency of 415.55ms. OEE values slightly decreased from 55% (manual recording) to 53.5% (automated). The prototype effectively delivers accurate, real-time OEE data with an interactive interface, showcasing its potential for manufacturing applications.

Abstract

Abstract- XYZ Company is a company engaged in services. The first problem is the security of pay slip data. Currently, pay slips are made based on Microsoft Excel data that can be accessed by anyone, even if the person concerned is not an authorized officer. The next problem is the timing of payroll. XYZ Company supplies employees to 18 companies. Thus, the timing of employee payroll is different from one another, depending on the company where the employee works. Currently, payroll is divided into several different dates, namely on the 25th, 30th, 5th and 10th of each month. After the payroll process is complete, it is followed by making pay slips and distributing the pay slips. Making and distributing pay slips is inefficient if done using conventional methods. In this research, an automatic salary generation and distribution system is built using a Python-based program as a programming container, JasperReports as an automatic salary slip report generation and WhatsApp as a medium for distributing salary slips. Based on the results of the tests that have been carried out, the application built can reduce the processing time for 1 person by 47 seconds or 71.64% to 4 people by 4 minutes 24 seconds or 93.27%. The more payslips that are created and distributed, the greater the time savings. This shows that the automatic system application is more efficient in making and distributing pay slips than conventional methods.  The application made also has a security feature where the application can only be accessed by users, the system cannot be accessed if the user does not have a username and password.
