Abstract

Managing freelance employees in Event Organizer activities presents challenges in scheduling, task assignment, communication, and the delivery of dynamic information. Manual management processes often lead to delays in information dissemination and coordination errors between event managers and freelance workers. This study develops a web-based Freelance Employee Management Information System equipped with real-time notification features to support employee data management, event management, task assignment, scheduling, and communication. The system was developed using web technologies with WebSocket implemented as a mechanism for delivering notifications directly to users. The system architecture adopts a three-tier approach consisting of the frontend, backend, and database. Functional testing results showed that the system met all functional requirements with a 100% success rate, while WebSocket testing achieved an average notification latency of 48.7 ms. These results demonstrate that the proposed system effectively supports structured freelance employee management and enables faster and more efficient information delivery in Event Organizer operations

Abstract

Oil palm loose fruit collection is labor-intensive and can cause operator fatigue and low field efficiency. This study presents the design and performance evaluation of a 12 V DC-powered semi-automatic trolley for collecting loose fruits. The system combines a rotary sweeper, belt conveyor, and blower, all driven by DC motors and controlled using a simple ON/OFF circuit. Tests were conducted with loads of 2, 5, 7, and 10 kg. Evaluation covered collection and transport time, current consumption, power use, and operational stability. Operating time increased with load, reaching approximately 18, 26, 34, and 45 s, respectively. Although energy consumption rose at higher loads, the trolley remained stable and showed acceptable efficiency. Its integrated mechanism enables continuous collection, conveying, and cleaning while reducing manual effort and operator fatigue. The proposed trolley therefore offers a practical, ergonomic, and energy-efficient solution for improving productivity in oil palm plantations.

Abstract

This study aims to design, develop, and evaluate the performance of a GRBL-based Computer Numerical Control (CNC) router for contour engraving on non-metallic materials, such as acrylic and wood. The research methodology consisted of mechanical system design, component fabrication through milling and drilling processes, mechanical and electronic assembly, GRBL firmware integration, and machine accuracy testing. Standard commercially available components were utilized to simplify the manufacturing and maintenance processes. Performance evaluation was conducted by comparing the machined dimensions with the programmed design generated using G-code. The experimental results demonstrated that the developed CNC router was capable of producing contour engravings consistent with the intended along the X-, Y-, and Z-axes. These findings indicate that the proposed system provides satisfactory accuracy for light machining and engraving applications on non-metallic materials. Therefore, the developed CNC router offers a cost-effective and reliable solution for educational activities, research, and prototype manufacturing in laboratory environments.
