Abstract

The use of agricultural land in Pondok Meja Village has the potential to implement an automatic irrigation system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) to optimize water supply and support sustainable agriculture. This village is facing the problem of climate change which affects water availability and the practice of watering plants which is still done manually, as well as the community's lack of knowledge about IoT-based automatic irrigation technology. An automatic irrigation system using IoT can monitor and regulate soil moisture in real-time, which is very important for dragon fruit plants which require humidity between 70% and 90% to grow optimally. This technology works by automatically controlling the water pump to maintain soil moisture, using devices such as Arduino Uno R3, soil moisture sensor, water pump, relay module, 16x2 LCD, and jumper cables. The application of this technology aims to increase the efficiency of water use, as well as enable farmers to make more informed decisions in irrigation and plant care. Implementation of this system has been proven to not only increase water efficiency, but also contribute to increased crop yields and land health, making it an effective solution to modern agricultural challenges.

Abstract

Digital image restoration is a critical aspect of image processing, as noise introduced during acquisition, transmission, or compression can degrade visual quality and reduce the accuracy of image information. The main challenge in noise reduction lies in suppressing disturbances without damaging important image details and structural features. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Gaussian Filter, Median Filter, and Mean Filter, both individually and in combination, for noise reduction in digital images. The dataset consists of JPG images with a resolution of 4032×3024 pixels (12 MP), acquired using a smartphone camera and artificially contaminated with noise to simulate real-world conditions. Performance evaluation was conducted using noise standard deviation, Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), and Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM). Experimental results indicate that the combination of the Median Filter and Gaussian Filter achieves the best overall performance, with a noise standard deviation of 88.08, a PSNR of 13.32 dB, and an SSIM of 0.15, demonstrating an optimal balance between noise reduction and structural preservation. The findings confirm that combined filtering approaches are more effective than single filters. Future research is recommended to explore advanced filtering methods such as Bilateral Filter, Wiener Filter, and adaptive filtering techniques under various noise conditions

Abstract

This study discusses implementing the K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) algorithm on a 4-DoF manipulator robot to pick up objects based on color. The main objective of this study is to design and test a robot control system capable of automatically recognizing, picking up, and moving objects according to color classification. The color detection process is carried out using a camera that extracts color component values in RGB space, which are then classified using the K-NN algorithm with parameter k = 5. The classification results form the basis for the movement of the manipulator robot, which is controlled through cubic trajectory-based trajectory planning, so that the movement of each servo motor joint is smooth and coordinated. Testing was conducted 30 times with three object color categories: red, green, and blue. The experimental results showed that the system could classify colors and pick up objects with a success rate of 96%. Minor failures occurred due to lighting variations that affected color detection results. Overall, the results of this study indicate that the integration of the K-NN algorithm and cubic trajectory is effective in improving the performance of manipulator robots for color-based object recognition and picking tasks and has the potential to be applied in computer vision-based industrial automation systems.

Abstract

One of the optimization issues is the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP). VRP can consider distance alone or take into account other factors such as traffic congestion, road quality, and obstacles to serve multiple agents according to their requests. The Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP), which adds vehicle capacity constraints, is a variant of VRP. This paper aims to explain the construction of a CVRP model for the problem of drug distribution routes from a depot to several pharmacies. An approach called Tabu Search is proposed to overcome these optimization challenges. The main objective of this method is to stop the iterative search for solutions that have already been sought. In this study, the travel route for the example of a PT. XYZ Salesman was constructed using the Tabu Search approach. The results obtained a minimum travel distance of 27.9 km and a minimum travel time of 35.2 minutes, with a maximum delivery quantity of 63 boxes.

Abstract

Nature-based tourism is increasingly popular with the public, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, because it is considered safer, healthier, and closer to nature. One popular form of nature tourism activity is camping. Gayo Camping Ceria, as a nature tourism business in Takengon, Central Aceh, provides tent and camping equipment rental services at affordable prices. However, in its operations, the reservation process and rental management are still carried out manually via WhatsApp and social media, which causes various obstacles such as late confirmations, recording errors, difficulty monitoring stock, and the absence of a centralized documentation system. To address these challenges, this study aims to design and implement a web-based camping reservation system that can automate the entire booking and rental process. The system development methodology uses the Waterfall model, which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation. The implementation results show that the system successfully meets all functional and non- functional user requirements. The results of the system testing using the black-box testing method indicate that all features run well according to the designed specifications and scenarios. Every process flow, from booking to payment verification, can be executed smoothly. This system has been proven to improve operational efficiency, minimize recording errors, and provide convenience and transparency for both users and administrators. This system not only improves the operational efficiency of Gayo Camping Ceria but also provides a better digital experience for customers. Furthermore, this system has the potential to be adopted by other MSMEs in the nature tourism sector that face similar challenges in managing reservations and rentals. Thus, this research makes a real contribution to the application of information technology to strengthen the digital-based local tourism sector to support sustainable digital transformation.

Abstract

This Wireless Analog to Digital Data Logger research aims to design a prototype measuring tool that is useful for converting analog data into digital data, or an Analog to Digital Converter (ADC), without using cable media (wireless), where the communication media used in this research is Bluetooth by using the HC-05 module and Arduino Uno as the main control system. The system output of the measurement results in this research is displayed on the Android phone in the form of decimal numbers to make it easier to read, along with the date, month, and year, as well as the time when the measurement was taken. This system is also equipped with a graphic display of measurement results in real time, making it easier for users to monitor changes in data that occur visually. This measuring tool also has a facility for storing measurement data in the form of an Excel file with CSV (comma separated values) format, which can be downloaded from the data storage media on the Android phone used, making it easier for users to process or retrace the measurement data on other media such as computers.
