The definition of poverty is very diverse, ranging from just the inability to fulfill basic needs and improve conditions to a broader understanding that includes social and moral components. The purpose of this study was to analyze the process of Community Empowerment through the PKPU Program in Pasar Lalang, Kuranji Village, Padang City. The usefulness of this research is to reveal the process of community empowerment through the PKPU program at Pasar Lalang, to find out how far the empowerment process carried out by PKPU Kota Padang in empowering the Lalang Market community in accordance with the concepts of empowerment. This research is in the form of qualitative descriptive, namely presenting facts and symptoms in the field and then analyzed so that the final conclusions are clearly understood. In collecting data the author uses the method of interview, observation and documentation. Based on the results of the study obtained several facts seen from various things. First seen from the process of liberation and awareness carried out by PKPU, the realization was in the form of socialization and enlightenment in the form of lectures held at mosques and open fields that had been prepared in advance. Pasar Lalang community is given the motivation to be able to change their lives for the better. After that PKPU socialized the programs they will provide to the community.

Humans in their daily lives cannot be separated from art. Art is a form of aesthetic expression towards human existence as a servant. Expressions of beauty that are expressed through beautiful movements, will give birth to exotic dance. Speaking of dance, in general, the negative prejudices of both dancers and dances are generally generated. This is interesting to study when drawn with the flexibility of Islamic teachings and the core of Islamic teachings themselves, namely tauhid.

This paper raises the problem of how the cooperation of the Functional Islamic Counselor with Urban Officials in overcoming the disease of the community in Purus Village, Padang Barat Subdistrict, Padang City. Limitation of research is Cooperation extension of Islam functional with the village officials in overcoming drugs. Religious and village officials face many problems, such as multi talent community, stubborn, unruly and so on. Departing from the background above, it needs an in-depth study of the Cooperation of Functional Islamic Counselor with Urban Officials in Overcoming Community Disease. This research is a descriptive field research, aiming to describe reality in the field with qualitative and rationalistic approach. Data source 19 people Extension of Islamic Religion Functional PNS and Non PNS, Official apparatus, community leaders in Purus Village. Cooperation of extension of functional Islam with the urban village apparatus in overcoming drugs in Purus urban village only oriented to preventive measures. There is no action or curative cooperation.

PENGARUH PENERAPAN PRINSIP GOOD CORPORATE GOVERNANCE (GCG) TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KUALITAS PELAYANAN DI PT BANK BTPN TBK CABANG PADANG Dewi Dahlan

This study aims to determine the effect of the principles of good corporate governance (GCG) in this case transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, and fairness towards service quality at the Padang branch of PT Bank BTPN Tbk. The results of this study indicate that Good Corporate Governance (GCG) (X) has a significant effect on the Service Quality of Padang Branch BTPN Banks (Y). The contribution of Good Corporate Governance (X) to Service Quality (Y) is 79.9% and found to have a significant effect, while the remaining 20.1% is another factor not examined. The most powerful dimension of correlation is transparency with a correlation value of 0.896. All dimensions of service quality including tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy have a strong correlation with Service Quality (Y), and are significant. The strongest correlation dimension is Reliability with a correlation value of 0.900.

PENGARUH KONSELING ISLAM DALAM MENINGKATKAN KESADARAN SHOLAT BERJAMAAH SISWA Widia Wati; Silvianetri Silvianetri

The fundamental religious problems experienced by students today are the low awareness of prayers in congregation. One technique that can be used to increase awareness is to do the prayers in congregation through Islamic counseling. To reveal this in this study using the experimental method, specifically one group pretest-posttes. The research sample consisted of 25 students from SMAN 1 Pasaman. The instrument used was the student prayer awareness scale and data analysis using the t-test. The results revealed that: (1) there was an increase in students' awareness of prayers in congregation after being given a classical format Islamic counseling treatment with an average pretest of 46.04 points, which was in the low category, and posttest 58.76 points, in the high category, and a difference of 12.72 points , (2) there is the influence of Islamic counseling on increasing awareness of student prayer in congregation. Based on the results of this study it is recommended for counselors in schools to be able to apply Islamic counseling as a treatment for increasing student prayer awareness.

The city of Pekanbaru is a strategic area where the population is increasing and becoming a metropolitan city. The rapid development of Pekanbaru City is also reflected in the rapid growth of businesses in various places, with various business sectors. One of the most prominent efforts is the business in the culinary field. Almost in every corner of the culinary business available in the city of Pekanbaru with a variety of culinary choices. The great desire of culinary entrepreneurs in the city of Pekanbaru in carrying out their business, maintaining, developing to become bigger and then reaching the peak. In this case, three culinary ventures in Pekanbaru, namely Martabak Djoeragan, Mini Chef and Waroenk Baper, require marketing communication in the introduction of their culinary business to the community, not only as an introduction but also to maintain the existence of their business. This study uses quality methods. The results of this study indicate that the clinical marketing communication of the clinicians in Pekanbaru Kta through advertising activities, sales promotion activities, public relations and public relations activities, personal sales activities, direct marketing activities, event activities and experiences. Besides marketing communication is also associated with brand equity, which is seen from brand awareness and response to the brand. The use of New Media is very important in maintaining, introducing, and developing its business.

TABUIK: LOCAL WISDOM AS AN ALTERNATIVE FOR SUPPRESSING THE IMPACT OF STRUCTURAL CHANGE IN PARIAMAN Zainal Fadri

Arthur Lewis's structural change theory focused on the development shows the process of change which occurs from the traditional economic society towards the industrial economic society. The development of traditional economies in the countryside into the industrial economy in urban areas has a serious impact on equitable distribution of ongoing economic development. The villagers initially worked in the agricultural sector moved to the city then due to an absorption of labor in the industrial sector. Massive urbanization is a serious impact caused by this change, so that there is a vacant labor force in the countryside and an increase in unemployment in urban areas. The problem caused by structural changes in economic development can be overcome by the local wisdom approach of the local community. In this paper, the case is taken in Pariaman community especially the Tabuik ceremony as an annual routine. Tabuik in Pariaman requires that the community remaining in Pariaman and undergo a routine as an agricultural community because there are many special needs and rituals requiring ceremonial materials from the agricultural field. The local wisdom of people in Pariaman is not involved in significant urbanization cases. Tabuik as a control the flow of globalization makes the community and economic activities manageable as of the development in Pariaman with traditional agricultural economic models and adequate labor naturally.

STRATEGI PERPUSTAKAAN MENERAPKAN LITERASI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN IMAJINASI, KREATIVITAS, INOVASI Laksmi Laksmi

This research discusses the library strategy of applying literacy to increase imagination, creativity and innovation. Various libraries carry out various literacy programs, including GLN and GLS. However, the results have not looked encouraging. UNESCO in 2017 stated that out of a total of 61 countries, Indonesia ranked 60th at a low literacy level. Literacy activities, namely activities that empower the movement of reading and writing, can make someone create imagination, creativity, and innovation. Libraries must have effective and efficient literacy implementation strategies, based on 6 types of literacy, namely literacy, numeracy literacy, scientific literacy, ICT literacy, financial literacy, and cultural and citizenship literacy. Librarians need to pay attention to the process of developing literacy, namely: text and facilities; literacy type and purpose, learning context, and learner character. Librarians determine the competencies to be achieved, then determine the quality of character and type of literacy. In the application process, librarians introduce methods of reading books and storytelling, creating a safe and pleasant atmosphere, letting users experiment, and playing roles.

IMPLEMENTASI MASYARAKAT TERHADAP PENAFSIRAN SURAT AL-QADR Mutiara Tri Julifa; Hafizzullah Hafizzullah

Departing from a custom that exists in the community of Bukit Putus in Linggo Sari Baganti Subdistrict, Pesisir Selatan District, namely the implementation of Lailatul Qadr circumcision prayer on every twenty-seventh night of the month of Ramadan. This research is called the Living Qur'an Study which is a qualitative field research, using descriptive analysis methods, with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. The results of the study are the first, the public understands the Laylat al-Qadr prayer as circumcision prayer which is performed to welcome and respect the Laylat al-Qadr. Secondly, the public praying at the end of the twenty-seventh night after completing the evening prayer in congregation. Third, the implementation of the Prayers of Laylat al-Qadr by the community aims to get merit and forgiveness from God. Then the benefits felt by the community after performing lailatul qadr prayers include peace and tranquility of the heart.

POLITIK SEBAGAI JALAN KEBAHAGIAAN: REFLEKSI FILSAFAT SOSIAL DAN POLITIK ISLAM AL-FᾹRᾹBĪ Endrika Widdia Putri

This article departs from the problem that the happiness of a country and its citizens lies in its politics. Whatever politics adopted by a country are all good. However, it is the human skills that govern politics that affect the course of politics. If those who manage are capable, then good politics will improve with the human skills that govern it - and vice versa. Departing from these problems, this article will look at how good politics in the eyes of philosophers. In particular, al-Fārābī political thought - 9th century Muslim philosopher who lived during the Abbasid Dynasty. Al-Fārābī with its main state (al-Madīnah al-Fādhilah) argues that the ideal state is a sovereign state to create a prosperous society based on the principles of equal rights, freedoms, and human unity. Al-Fārābī with political thought succeeded in expressing universal values of politics, and was able to map out the state classifications that existed in his day and did not rule out the possibility of existing today and formulated 12 (twelve) criteria for an ideal leader. In addition, al-Fārābī is considered a Muslim philosopher who began to talk about democracy. Although, al-Fārābī himself does not mention the term democracy except al-madīnah al-jama'iyyah which is defined as a democratic state. Although al-Fārābī is not practical politics, his political thought is the result of his deep knowledge and experience. This is enough to prove that his political thinking is worth knowing and scrutinizing.
