Abstract

The development of industrial technology has enhanced efficiency and productivity in production. The implementation of an electro-pneumatic system in an automatic stamping tool based on Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) combines fast and powerful pneumatic motion with precise electrical control, enabling automation and reducing human intervention. This research aims to determine the optimal air pressure and piston force, and to evaluate factors affecting the quality of automatic stamping, such as media, stamp shape, and stamping time. The results show that an air pressure of 3 bar produces the best stamp, with cardboard, plastic, and wood being the most effective media. The rectangular stamp shape provides the best results, while the triangular shape performs the worst. A contact duration of 2 to 3 seconds is the most effective, whereas durations longer than 5 seconds reduce the quality of the stamp. The piston force reaches 60.288 N on the forward stroke and 60.203 N on the return stroke, indicating good stability. This technology enables efficient automated production, minimizes errors, and increases productivity.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations, preliminary studies and interviews, researchers found that there was discomfort when in the Medical Records Storage Room. The discomfort in the storage room is very disturbing for the officers because the temperature in the room is not suitable. The aim to be achieved by the author is to get an overview of the review of the application of ergonomic aspects in the storage room at Bhayangkara Tk Hospital. II Sartika Asih Bandung. The method that researchers used in this research, namely qualitative methods. Qualitative research is research that emphasizes quality or the most important thing in goods or services. Researchers collected data by: observation, interviews, literature study. There are 2 separate medical record rooms. In the first room there is an assembly, distribution room, 12 roll o'packs, 4 tables, 5 chairs, 3 ACs, 10 lamps, 2 ventilation fans and 1 fire extinguisher. In the second room there is a retention room, 4 roll o'packs, and 33 storage shelves, 2 chairs, 1 table, 1 AC, 5 lamps, 3 ventilation fans, and 1 fire extinguisher. The impact that occurs is that officers get tired easily, officers become hampered in searching for files, officers' health becomes compromised due to ventilation fans not functioning. Efforts that can be made by storage officers include submitting an ergonomics software, submitting an additional room. The hospital will try to add these facilities to the storage room at Bhayangkara TK Hospital. II Sartika Asih Bandung.

Abstract

Carbonated drinks have a sparkle effect with a typical soda taste in the mouth and generally use artificial flavors. Rarely use natural flavors. A new innovation in the manufacture of carbonated drinks is using coconut water as raw material with the addition of soursop fruit juice which is a natural flavor. Making carbonated drinks from coconut water and soursop juice is done by using sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) as a producer of CO2 gas. This study aims to determine the effect of the ratio of coconut water to soursop extract and sodium bicarbonate concentration to produce carbonated drinks with good quality. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 2 factors, namely the ratio of coconut water to soursop extract and the concentration of sodium bicarbonate. The results showed that the highest levels of vitamin C were in KS1N1 with a ratio of coconut water: soursop essence (50: 50) and 0.7% NaHCO3, with vitamin C levels (26.4 mg/100 g) which were still acceptable TKPI Ministry of Health 2019, value total acid (0.282%) according to SNI 3719:2014, and the pH value (4.33) according to SNI 3708:2015. The best organoleptic results were for KS4N1 with a ratio of coconut water: soursop extract (80: 20) and 0.7% NaHCO3 with an organoleptic value of taste 4.7 (like), aroma 3.3 (rather like) and color 4.3 (like) . The results showed that the ratio of coconut water and soursop extract affects the quality of carbonated drinks.

Abstract

Peranan yang sangat penting dalam budidaya ikan yaitu pemberian pakan. Kegiatan tersebut penting karena pertumbuhan serta perkembangan ikan sangat tergantung pada pakan yang diberikan, pemberian pakan dalam jumlah yang seimbang merupakan hal yang penting untuk keberhasilan suatu budidaya ikan. Pemberian pakan yang terjadi di peternak atau pemelihara ikan yaitu tidak terjadwalnya pemberian pakan serta jumlah pakan yang diberikan yang seringkali terlalu banyak sehingga hal tersebut akan menyebabkan pemborosan material dan dapat mempengaruhi kualitas air sehingga dapat mengganggu kelangsungan hidup ikan yang dibudidayakan. Oleh karena itu pengembangan dan perancangan alat pemberi pakan ikan otomatis berbasis IoT akan diperlukan. Dimana alat tersebut dapat dioperasikan dimanapun dan kapanpun hanya menggunakan smartphone yang terkoneksi ke internet. Perancangan dan perangkaian kelistrikan pada mesin pemberi pakan ikan otomatis sangatlah penting untuk mengalirkan arus listrik yang bertujuan pada motor listrik dimana arus tersebut dialirkan oleh sebuah komponen agar bisa diatur penggunaan arus listrik yang diperlukan dengan hasil pengujian mesin ini membutuhkan daya saat standby sebesar 12 Watt dan daya saat running sebesar 150 Watt atau memerlukan konsumsi energi sebesar 10,71 kWh dalam 30 hari.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of the addition of natural sweeteners stevia and citric acid on color changes in butterfly pea flower syrup, which is rich in anthocyanin pigments. Anthocyanins give a distinctive blue color to telang flowers and are sensitive to changes in pH. The research method used a 3-factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with variations in the concentration of stevia leaf extract, stevia sugar, and the volume of lemon juice as a source of citric acid. The analysis included organoleptic test, anthocyanin qualitative test, total sugar test, viscosity test, and L*a*b* color test. The results showed that the addition of stevia leaf extract and citric acid significantly affected the color intensity of butterfly pea flower syrup. The combination of 30 grams of stevia leaf extract and 50 mL lemon juice produced the highest blue to violet color change based on the L*a*b* value. However, based on the organoleptic test, panelists preferred the sample with 10 grams of stevia leaf extract and 30 mL lemon juice. In the treatment with stevia sugar, the combination of 30 grams of stevia sugar and 30 mL of lemon juice produced the most preferred color.

Abstract

Based on the fact findings in the field, the author found a problem that occurred in the Caterpillar 390F Excavator Stick Cylinder where it was damaged, this damage can be coused by many factors that are suspected to be the cause of the damage that occurred to the stick cylinder. Alleged causes of damage to the stick cylinder include contaminants in hydraulic oil, infrequent maintenance and excessive loads. To find out the main cause of damage that occurs to the stick cylinder, an analysis is carried out using the AFA method which refers to field facts, visuals, and literature studies. Through the analysis process, the possibility of damage was found, namely internal leakage in the stick cylinder, damage to the piston ring and seal, bending of the rod cylinder. Damage to the stick cylinder is caused by damage to the ring (173-3414), ring (155-9157) and seal as (8C-9182) which then causes stick cylinder drift. After analysis, the possibility of part damage is caused by dieseling. Dieseling is caused by air and other gas content that is saturated mixed with oil vapours from hydraulic oil. Its Prevention by removing all air content and flammable gases in the cylinder before use. Move of the cylinder several times up and down, to push the air back into the tank before use.

Abstract

In an industry with increasingly modern technology, an automatic control system is needed that can support the industrial production system to make it more stable and optimal. This research aims to design and implement an automatic feeding system for chickens using Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) technology and a pneumatic system. The background to this research is based on the importance of efficiency and effectiveness in chicken farming practices, especially in feeding which is a crucial factor for chicken growth and productivity. Using manual methods in feeding is still a challenge, especially for breeders with large chicken populations, because it can cause non-uniformity, waste of time and increase operational costs. It is hoped that the implementation of automation technology in the feeding system can overcome this problem by optimizing feed distribution and reducing manual intervention. The system developed in this research uses a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) to regulate the schedule and amount of feed given, while the pneumatic system is used as an actuator to open and close the feed door quickly and reliably. This research uses a qualitative method that focuses on in-depth observations to produce a more comprehensive study of the design. Test results show that this system is able to work efficiently and stably, ensuring timely distribution of feed at 07:00 and 17:00 and providing feed in quantities appropriate to livestock needs. Thus, it is hoped that the implementation of this technology can increase the productivity of chicken farms, reduce the farmer's workload, and ensure that each chicken gets optimal feed.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to make an automatic cracker measuring device using Arduino Uno as its control center which contains a program made in the Arduino IDE software. This tool is required to run a conveyor where if a cracker has been measured or weighed according to the 20gram setpoint specified in the program, a conveyor will run automatically. Here the weight sensor uses Load cell as a weight sensor and output in the form of a relay module, DC motor, LCD, to monitor and run a conveyor. Based on the measurement results table, the percentage error rate is input data 20 grams has a percentage error rate of 10.84%, input data 21 grams has a percentage error rate of 7.228%, input data 22 grams has a percentage error rate of 6.209%, input data 23 grams has a percentage error rate of 8.660%, input data 24 grams has a percentage error rate of 6.908%, and input data 25 grams has a percentage error rate of 7.44%. The analysis results have a percentage error rate of 8.660%, 24gram input data has a percentage error rate of 6.908%, and 25gram input data has a percentage error rate of 7.44%. So it can be concluded that the percentage of error rate can be caused by human error during measurement so that the accuracy of the load cell sensor measurement. It is concluded from the table above that when the weight of the cracker raw material given in the weighing process carried out by the load cell is below 23 grams, the process of frying crackers in the sieve will be less than the capacity. This is related to the process of developing fried crackers. When the crackers that are cooked by expanding in the sieve are less than the capacity, it will be said to be good because the crackers will not fall or exceed the capacity. So that the machine can accommodate the frying process of cracker material of no more than 23 grams because it adjusts to the shape of the pan with a diameter of 30 cm and the sieve used.

Abstract

Agriculture is one of the most important sectors for society. Along with the times, many agricultural lands have been turned into residential areas, especially in office areas. Urban farming is a solution to overcome the limited land for farmingTherefore, there is a need for an innovation in the Hydroponic method, namely by making an automatic nutrient regulator in hydroponic plants. This research aims to make the provision of nutrients in hydroponic plants effective and efficient, as well as ease of monitoring by controlling through a smartphone. Controlling the actuator in the form of a pump can be done manually with keystroke instructions and can be done automatically with instructions based on the comparison of sensor readings and setpoints, namely if 1400 the regular water pump is on the nutrient pump is off, while if >=1050 and <=1400 both the nutrient pump and the regular water pump are off. Monitoring of nutrient levels (ppm) and water levels will continue to be displayed on the LCD and Blynk application both in manual mode and during automatic mode. The final result of testing this tool is found that the use of sensors in reading the value of nutrients (ppm) and adjusting the water level is more effective than manual nutrition. Because the sensor will intensely control the nutrient content needed by plants and the appropriate water level for Hydroponic plants. Monitoring of nutrient levels (ppm) and water levels can be seen through the LCD and in the Blynk application. The process of providing nutrients is done by controlling the pump to flow based on the instruction of the button press or based on the sensor reading with the setpoint.
