Abstract

This study aims to know and analyze the simultaneous and partial effect of financial compensation and organizational commitment towards the employee’s performance in Poltekkes Kemenkes Banjarmasin. This study was conducted to 126 employees of Poltekkes Kemenkes Banjarmasin. The employees were sampled by using probability random sampling amounted to 91 employees. This study used quantitative research method that was explanatory. This study used with the object site 126 employees in Poltekkes Kemenkes Banjarmasin which were appointed by using probability random sampling from population. This studies using quantitative research methods that are explanatory research, by sampling of 91 employees. Data collection was conducted to the members of the samples by using questionnaires as research instruments. The collected data were, then, described and analyzed using Multiple Liner Regression technique by using SPSS software ver.19.0 The result of this study concluded that the financial compensation and organizational commitment variables, simultaneously and partially, effected significantly positive towards the employee’s performance in Poltekkes Kemenkes Banjarmasin. The positive relationships from this research show that the financial compensation and organization commitment can improve employee’s performance in Poltekkes Kemenkes Banjarmasin.

Abstract

This research was intended to examine : (1) the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility activities (consisting of social responsibility, product responsibility, labor practices responsibility and environmental responsibility) related to the quality of social responsibility information disclosures, and (2) the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility activities (consisting of social responsibility, product responsibility, labor practices responsibility, environmental responsibility) and the quality of social responsibility information disclosures to firm value. The samples of this research are taken from 69 public companies whiches distributed dividend payments during 2007-2008, and publicly released information of their Corporate Social Responsibility activities in their annual reports, Sustainability Reports and/or other Corporate Social Responsibility reports in the year of 2008. This research applies primary and secondary data sources. Based on the results of the data analysis and discussion, these are the following research findings : (1) there is a positive and significant influence of corporate social responsibility activities (consisted of social responsibility, product responsibility, labor practices responsibility, and environmental responsibility) on the quality of corporate social responsibility information disclosure, (2) there is a positive and significant influence of social responsibility, product responsibility, labor practices responsibility, environmental responsibility and the quality of corporate social responsibility information disclosure on firm value. This research indicates corporate social responsibility activities (consisting of social responsibility, product responsibility, labor practices responsibility, environmental responsibility) and the quality of corporate social responsibility information disclosure has a positive and significant effect on firm value. At the same time, this research also shows that corporate social responsibility activities have a positive indirect effect to firm value with the quality of corporate social responsibility information disclosure as an intervening variable.

Abstract

During the last 14 years, the growth rate of fried chicken franchise with the concept of fast food restaurants in Banjarmasin is 12% per year. It is characterized by large number of outlets/stores of fried chicken franchise in Banjarmasin city as many as 10 outlets. Most of the existing outlets are in Duta Mall Banjarmasin. This study aims to identify and analyze the competitive position of fried-chicken fast-food franchise restaurants based on the consumers’ perceptions (Study on KFC, Texas Fried Chicken, AW Duta Mall and CFC RS Ulin Banjarmasin). Perceptions formulated are based on the assessment of marketing mix, which consists of services, physical condition, Product, promotion, personal traits, Price, means of support, distribution and location. 100 respondents are taken as samples in this study, i.e. respondents who have eaten in the fourth Fried Chicken fast food franchise using the technique of non proportional stratified random sampling. Meanwhile, the technique of data analysis uses Multi Dimensional Scaling (MDS). The findings from the analysis using Multi Dimensional Scaling (MDS) show inequality positions of Fried Chicken franchise restaurants, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Texas Chicken, AW and California Fried Chicken, based on their consumers’ perceptions: 1. KFC is a fried chicken franchise restaurant that has superiority over the ease in getting information for organizing parties, the rooms’ capacities, the frequency of advertisements, employee skills, appropriate Products with Prices. In addition, KFC also has special superiority over different/ unique fried chicken taste and more outlets than other fried chicken franchise restaurants; 2. Texas Fried chicken has superiority over the speed of Customer service, cleanliness of the room, the Product pakaging which is favorable to consumers, direct gifts, discounts for the purchases, hospitable employees in serving customers, appropriate places for washing hands in accordance with the expectations of consumers of being close to additional facilities; 3. Customers perceive AW has superiority over the ease of organizing parties and designing more interesting party rooms, standard Product size, cheaper unit prize of Products, more varied promotion media, and neatness of employees’ clothes. In addition, AW also has a special superiority with the availability of quite complete and spacious children’s playground, 4. California Fried chicken (CFC) has superiority over the accuracy in giving services, attractive room design, more varied menu selection, cheaper package Prices, and comfortable atmosphere.

Abstract

Education is an important factor that played a role in all sectors. Decisions students choose further education after high school, influenced by the marketing mix (program, price, promotion place, process, physical facilities, and people), socio-economic status and motivation. The problem in this research is the extent to which the influence of the marketing mix, socioeconomic status and motivation of the student’s decision to study at the Institute of Education and Professional Development Indonesia (LP3I) Business College - Banjarmasin. The approach in this research is descriptive and quantitative survey supported, are explanatory, where the variable measured with Likert scale. Methods of data collection with a list of questions to 121 respondents in the LP3I–Business College = Banjarmasin. The results showed that there is a positive and significant effect of the marketing mix (product, price, promotion, location, process, people and physical appearance) to motivate students in choosing LP3I Business College Banjarmasin; Marketing mix (product, price, promotion, location, process, people and physical appearance) positive and significant impact on student’s decision in choosing LP3I Business College Banjarmasin; Socio-economic background and significant positive effect on student motivation in choosing LP3I Business College Banjarmasin; Socio-economic background factors positive and significant impact on student’s decision in choosing LP3I Business College Banjarmasin and motivation factor positive and significant impact on student’s decision in choosing LP3I Business College Banjarmasin

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the effect of corporate governance mechanisms, (Ownership Concentration, Size of the Board of Commissioners, Board Size, Komisarin Independent Audit Committee, Debt Policy and Firm Size) on financial performance. This research was conducted on a manufacturing company in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population in this study amounted to 148 companies manufacturing and samples were taken of 20 companies with a passing stage purposive sampling. The data used in this research is secondary data. Data taken from the companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2010-2012 were obtained from the Indonesian Capital Market Director (ICMD). Data collection techniques using methods of documentation and analysis techniques using multiple linear regression model. Based on the results of hypothesis testing is known that the variable size of the board of directors, audit committee and manufacturing company size has no effect on CFROA on manufacturing companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange. Sementra independent commissioner terhdap CFROA significant negative effect on manufacturing companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange. Means that the more the number of independent komasaris sekamin lowering CFROA and vice versa. Variable concentration of ownership, board size and debt policies CFROA significant positive effect on the manufacturing company in Indonesia Stock Exchange

Abstract

This study has the objective to determine the effect of religiosity, reference groups and the motivation factors to the decision to save in Islamic banks. Location of the research conducted in the city, Banjarmasin. With population all of Banjarmasin’s Islamic bank individual customers, using purposive sampling methods with 100 numbers of respondents in finishing the survey. Results of hypothesis testing with multiple linear regressionat the 95% confidence level, indicates that religiosity, reference groups, and the motivation factors, either partially or simultaneously influence the decision to saving in Islamic banks. Partially, religiosity factor is the most dominant factor in influencing people to take decisions to saving in Islamic banks. Therefore, to increasing the amount of savings customers, Islamic banks should go through a religious approach. Increased socialization of the importance of Sharia principles in everyday life, products and excellence of Islamic banks need to be done through religious activities such as teaching, tadarus, boarding lightning, lectures at Friday prayers and Taraweeh, and other religious activities.

Abstract

Perusahaan mempunyai tujuan normatif memaksimalkan nilai perusahaan, yang bertujuan untuk memaksimumkan kemakmuran pemegang saham. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi nilai perusahaan. Variabel-variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Dividend Yield (DYD) dan Size. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada perusahaan properti yang terdaftar di BEI dengan periode tahun 2009 sampai dengan tahun 2011. Variabel dependen dalam penelitian ini adalah nilai perusahaan yang diukur dengan Price to Book Value (PBV). Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah struktur modal yang diukur dengan Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), kebijakan dividen yang diukur dengan Dividend yield (DYD) dan Size. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode purposivesampling yang menghasilkan 17 perusahaan sebagai sampel penelitian dari populasi sebesar 52 perusahaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara bersama-sama DER, DYD dan Size berpengaruh terhadap PBV. Secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa DER berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap PBV. Size berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap PBV. DYD berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap PBV.
