Abstract

Electrical This systematic review synthesizes empirical evidence on teaching and learning innovations in electrical engineering and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) published between 2021 and 2025. The study aimed to identify effective pedagogical approaches, assess technology integration outcomes, and map research gaps. Following the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta Analyses) guidelines, a systematic search of Scopus, Google Scholar, and specialized TVET journals yielded 1,247 initial records. After screening against inclusion criteria (empirical studies, electrical engineering TVET context, 2021-2025), 54 studies were included for synthesis. Results revealed three dominant pedagogical themes: project based learning (PBL) and cooperative models (26% of studies), flipped classroom approaches (19%), and simulation based learning including immersive VR (24%). Technology enhanced learning showed significant improvements in factual knowledge (Cohen's d ranging from 0.76 to 1.63) but inconsistent effects on higher order thinking skills and knowledge transfer. Key gaps identified include insufficient longitudinal studies (only 11% > 6 months), lack of standardized HOTS assessment instruments, weak industry curriculum alignment, and minimal focus on soft skill integration. The review concludes that while innovative pedagogies improve short term outcomes, there is an urgent need for longitudinal research, industry linked curriculum development, and validated transfer assessment tools.

Abstract

Elementary school students’ text comprehension skills are still relatively low because classroom learning is often dominated by conventional verbal instruction with limited use of interactive learning media. The audiovisual-based multimodal approach is considered important to support students’ literacy development through visual and auditory representations. This study aimed to analyze the effect of a multimodal approach based on audiovisual media on elementary school students’ text comprehension skills. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The participants consisted of 30 third-grade students of SD Negeri Sondosia, including 16 students in the experimental class and 14 students in the control class. Data were collected through pretests and posttests. The findings revealed that the mean score of the experimental class increased from 68.3 in the pretest to 79.7 in the posttest, while the control class improved from 66.1 to 72.3. The independent sample t-test indicated a significant difference between the two classes in the posttest results (p = 0.009 < 0.05). In addition, the N-Gain score of the experimental class was higher than that of the control class. Therefore, the audiovisual-based multimodal approach can be considered an effective alternative strategy for enhancing elementary school students’ text comprehension skills.

Abstract

The increasingly worrying practice of free association and social life, especially among adolescents, is caused by some members of society being disoriented in living their lives. This study aims to examine the implementation of the Islamic Character Building Program (KMA) at SMA Islam Plus Adzkia Medan as a form of renewal in the general Islamic Religious Education curriculum to shape Islamic character in students. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design to analyze the implementation strategy, obstacles encountered, and the program's success rate in shaping student character. The results show that the success of the KMA program is supported by three main factors: strengthening the emotional bond between educators and students, the use of daily journals as a means of self-reflection, and a personal approach in addressing behavioral problems. On the other hand, this program faces obstacles in the form of the strong influence of digital media and consumer culture among students. The implications of these findings contribute both theoretically and practically to the development of Islamic-based character education amidst the challenges of character education in the digital era and the weaknesses of conventional Islamic Religious Education learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze curriculum and learning management in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum at MA Mafaza Bantul, an Islamic boarding school-based madrasah in Bantul, Yogyakarta. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, vice principal for curriculum affairs, teachers, educational staff, and students, supplemented by structured observations and documentation analysis of official curriculum documents including the Madrasah Operational Curriculum. Data validity was ensured through triangulation, while data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles et al. The findings revealed that curriculum management was implemented through planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation functions. Curriculum implementation integrated the Merdeka Curriculum, the 2013 Curriculum, and three flagship pesantren programs, namely Tahfidz Al-Qur’an, Science Olympiad, and Qiraatul Khutub. Several challenges were identified, including incomplete teacher administration, limited instructional innovation, and constraints in implementing P5P2RA activities, which were addressed through in-house training, teacher learning communities, and comparative studies. These findings indicate that collaborative leadership, continuous supervision, and adaptive curriculum management are critical factors supporting effective curriculum implementation in pesantren-based madrasahs.

Abstract

Despite the growing body of literature on digital dakwah in pesantren, limited research has examined how digital dakwah is managed as an organizational process involving leadership, human resources, and media production systems. This study aims to explore the management of digital dakwah practices at Al Jauharen Islamic Boarding School, Jambi, Indonesia. A qualitative case study approach was employed involving eight participants, including pesantren leaders, ustadz, multimedia-involved santri, and media administrators. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observations, and document analysis and were analyzed using thematic analysis involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal three major challenges in managing digital dakwah: limited technological infrastructure, low digital literacy among ustadz and santri, and the absence of standardized procedures for content production. Despite these challenges, the pesantren demonstrates a strong commitment to developing digital dakwah through platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and live-streaming activities. The study concludes that effective digital dakwah management requires the integration of infrastructure development, human resource capacity building, and organizational system strengthening. This research contributes empirical evidence on the management dimensions of digital dakwah in pesantren and provides practical insights for Islamic educational institutions adapting to digital transformation.

Abstract

The development of digital technology in the Society 5.0 era has significantly influenced changes in the character of elementary school students, leading to issues such as declining discipline, empathy, and social responsibility. This condition underscores the need for character education that is relevant to contemporary societal developments. This study aims to examine the contribution of the Seven Habits of Great Indonesian Children (7 KAIH) program to strengthening students’ character. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation at SDN Kaliwates 01. The findings revealed that implementing the seven habits waking up early, praying, exercising regularly, cultivating a love of learning, consuming healthy and nutritious food, participating in community life, and going to bed early positively influenced students’ character development. Students demonstrated improved discipline, responsibility, active engagement in learning, and greater social awareness. In addition, improvements were observed in students’ physical well-being and readiness to learn. The program’s success was supported by strong collaboration between the school and parents in guiding and consistently monitoring the implementation of these habits. Therefore, the 7 KAIH program contributes positively to strengthening character education among elementary school students and serves as a relevant strategy for addressing educational challenges in the digital era.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the An-Nahdliyah method in enhancing seventh-grade students’ Al-Qur’an reading skills at MTs Darul Ulum Panaragan Jaya. The research was motivated by the varying abilities of students in reading the Qur’an, particularly in fluency, accurate pronunciation of hijaiyah letters, and proper application of tajweed rules. Employing a qualitative case study design, this study aimed to describe the habituation of Qur’an reading activities at school, analyze the implementation of the An-Nahdliyah method during the learning process, and explore its contribution to improving students’ Qur’an reading skills. Data were collected through direct classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with teachers, students, and the school principal, and analysis of relevant school documents. The findings indicate that Qur’an reading activities have become part of the school’s religious culture through routine habituation practices conducted before classroom learning. The An-Nahdliyah method was implemented systematically through rhythmic reading techniques, repeated exercises, teacher modeling, and individualized guidance. These approaches contributed to observable improvements in students’ reading fluency, pronunciation accuracy, tajweed application, and confidence in reading the Qur’an. This study underscores the significance of structured and contextually appropriate methods supported by a supportive religious learning environment in developing students’ Qur’anic literacy within formal madrasah education.
