Abstract

AbstractNowadays, various surveys have found a tendency of religious intolerance in educational institutions, especially high schools. The tendency of religious intolerance includes practices, views, and opinions. This indication is feared to develop into radical tendencies and actions. Recent research also shows the significance of intellectual humility as a virtue to promote positive attitudes such as religious tolerance. This study aims to determine the relationship between intellectual humility (IH) with religious tolerance in high school students. The research approach used is quantitative with the correlation method. The number of participants in the study was 365 students who were determined through convenient sampling. Instruments used in this study are Religious Tolerance Measurement and Comprehensive Intellectual Humility Scale (CIHS). The results showed that there was a significant positive correlation between IH and religious tolerance, r (.13). These results indicate that the level of correlation that occurs between Intellectual Humility and students' religious tolerance is low. This means that even though the two variables are related, the increase in the IH score in students only slightly increases the value of religious tolerance in students. AbstrakDewasa ini, berbagai survei menemukan kecenderungan intoleransi beragama di institusi pendidikan, terutama SMA. Kecenderungan intoleransi beragama tersebut meliputi praktik, pandangan, dan opini. Jika dibiarkan, indikasi tersebut dikhawatirkan berkembang menjadi sikap dan aksi radikal. Beberapa penelitian terbaru menunjukkan bahwa intellectual humility mempengaruhi toleransi beragama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara intellectual humility (IH) dengan toleransi beragama pada siswa SMA. Pendekatan penelitian yang dipergunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode korelasi. Partisipan penelitian berjumlah  365 orang siswa yang ditentukan melalui convenient sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan Religious Tolerance Measurement dan Comprehensive Intellectual Humility Scale (CIHS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi positif yang signifikan antara IH dan toleransi beragama sebesar 0.13. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pada dasarnya tingkat korelasi yang terjadi antara Intellectual Humility dan toleransi beragama siswa rendah. Artinya, meskipun kedua variabel tersebut berhubungan, kenaikan nilai IH pada siswa hanya sedikit menaikkan nilai toleransi beragama pada siswa.

Abstract

Anger is one of the major triggering factors in violence commited by adolescent. Anger usually become a mediator of domestic violence behavior, especially for adolescent who have problems in regulating and expressing anger. One of the interventions for reducing anger is Teen Anger Management Education (TAME), which implementing cognitive-behavioral approach. This study was aimed to investigate the effectivity of anger management group intervention based on TAME. Design of this study was quasy experimental, which involved 6 male adolescents who have high level of anger, known from their scores on the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire scale, specifically on anger subscale. They were given TAME intervention which was modified into 6 sessions. It took 45-90 minutes for each session, with 3-4 days gap in between. Post-test was taken at the last session and follow-up was taken a month after the last session. Result showed that the scores from 5 out of 6 participants have been decreased statistically significant from before compared to after intervention. Therefore, it can be concluded that anger management group intervention was effective to reduce anger in the majority of participants, Z (-2.04).

Abstract

AbstractThe world is currently experiencing a pandemic due to COVID-19. Indonesia is one of the countries affected and affected by this virus. Government policies as a measure to prevent and handle COVID-19 ranging from Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) to policies in the New Normal Era. This policy has an impact on employees who were previously Work From Home (WFH) to Work From Office (WFO). Working in pandemic conditions and situations raises worries at work so that it has an impact on mental and emotional status which affects work productivity. The purpose of this study was to determine the emotional mental status of the Bhakti Kencana University employees while undergoing a work form office. This research method uses descriptive method on employees who undergo Work From Office as many as 69 people using the SRQ 29 instrument. The results show that long Underwent work from office as much as 29.0 percent experienced symptoms of anxiety and depression, 15.9 percent experienced psychotic disorders, 68.1 percent experienced post-traumatic stress disorder, 17.4 percent did not experience changes in mental emotional status and none experienced any disturbances. psychoactive and drug use. The mental and emotional changes of employees during work from office will affect employee work productivity, besides the physiological impact when the body experiences psychological disorders will reduce immunity, thereby increasing the risk of COVID-19 transmission. The results showed that there was a change in the mental emotional status of employees during work from office. Improved coping mechanisms by increasing knowledge about Covid 19, health protocols at work, flexibility at work and health insurance for employees can reduce the psychological impact while working from office in the era  the COVID-19 pandemic  AbstrakDunia saat ini mengalami pandemic akibat COVID-19. Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara yang terkena dan terdampak akibat virus ini. Kebijakan pemerintah sebagai langkah pencegahan dan penanganan COVID-19 mulai dari Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB) sampai kebijakan di Era New Normal. Kebijakan ini berdampak pada karyawan yang sebelumnya Work From Home (WFH) menjadi Work From Office (WFO). Bekerja dalam kondisi dan situasi pandemic meberikan kekhawatiran saat bekerja sehingga berdampak pada status mental dan emosional yang mempengaruhi produktivitas bekerja. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui status mental emosional karyawan Univeritas Bhakti Kencana saat menjalani work form office. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif pada karyawan yang menjalani Work From Office sebanyak 69 orang menggunakan instrument SRQ 29. Hasil penelitian menunjukan selama menjalani work from office sebanyak 29,0 persen mengalami gejala cemas dan depresi, 15,9 persen mengalami gangguan psikotik, 68,1 persen mengalami post-traumatic stress disorder, 17,4 persen  tidak mengalami perubahan status mental emosional dan tidak ada yang mengalami gangguan psikoaktif dan penggunaan narkoba. Perubahan mental dan emosional saat menjalani work from office akan berpengaruh secara fungsi fisiologi sehingga meningkatkan kerentanan penularan dan berdampak produktivitas pekerjaan. Sehingga institusi harus meningkatan mekanisme koping dengan meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang COVID-19, mempertahankan protokol Kesehatan, fleksibilitas dan jaminan kesehatan saat bekerja di era pandemic COVID-19.

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this study was to examine an improvement of child’s resilience through positive cognitive triad with cognitive behavior therapy approach. The participant was BS, an 8-year-old girl who was in second grade in one of private elementary schools in Jakarta. She once had an unpleasant experience with one of the teachers, so she always displayed evasive behaviour, either avoiding for school attendance or doing assignments. The design in this study was a single-subject pre-post design. The intervention program was held within 8 sessions with a follow-up session that was given 2 weeks after. The instruments used for this research are Resilience Scale for Children and Adolescence (RSCA) to measure resilience, Cogntitive Triad Inventory-for Children (CTI-C) to measure positive cognitive triad, and customized BS rating scale (BSRS) to measure the intensity of avoidant behavior also negative emotions shown by BS. The results of this study showed an improvement of resiliency and positive cognitive triad, also decreased intensity of behavior problems at the end of the intervention program.   AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji apakah terdapat peningkatan resiliensi pada seorang anak melalui pembentukkan positive cognitive triad dengan pendekatan cognitive behavior therapy. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berinisial BS, seorang anak perempuan berusia 8 tahun yang merupakan murid kelas 2 Sekolah Dasar di salah satu sekolah swasta di Jakarta. Ia pernah memiliki pengalaman tidak menyenangkan bersama salah satu guru sehingga selalu menampilkan perilaku menghindar, baik itu menghindari kehadiran ke sekolah maupun mengerjakan tugas. Desain penelitian ini adalah single-subject pre-post design. Program intervensi dilaksanakan selama 8 sesi dengan sesi follow-up yang dilakukan 2 minggu setelahnya. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah Resilience Scale for Children and Adolescence (RSCA) untuk mengukur resiliensi, Cognitive Triad Inventory-for Children (CTI-C) untuk mengukur positive cognitive triad, dan skala rating (BSRS) yang secara khusus disusun untuk mengukur intensitas perilaku menghindar serta emosi negatif yang BS miliki. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan resiliensi dan positive cognitive triad, serta penurunan intensitas masalah perilaku setelah intervensi diberikan.

Abstract

Abstract One of activitiy done by students to spend their free time both at home and at school is to play online games. Friend’s factor becomes one of the strengthening factors in online gaming activities. However, playing online games has a risk that leads to addiction which can affect the mental health of the students. This study aimed at determining the role of the quality of friendship to the relationship of online game addiction and mental health of students. The subject of this research was the junior high school students in Yogyakarta. This research was conducted using survey method. Data retrieval was done by using Mental Health Scale, Quality Scale of Friendship and Online Game Addiction Scale. The sample was determined by purposive sampling. The result of moderation analysis revealed that the quality of friendship did not effected to the relationship between online game addiction and the mental health of students. The tendency of online game addiction and offline friendship quality could predict student mental health significantly.  Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran kualitas pertemanan terhadap hubungan adiksi game online dan kesehatan mental siswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa sekolah menengah pertama di Kota Yogyakarta yang berusia 12 hingga 15 tahun dan bermain game online. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 183 siswa yang terdiri dari 115 siswa laki-laki dan 68 siswa perempuan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode survei. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Skala Kesehatan Mental, Skala Kualitas Pertemanan dan Skala Adiksi Game Online. Sampel penelitian ditentukan secara purposive sampling. Hasil analisis moderasi menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pertemanan tidak terbukti secara signifikan berperan pada hubungan antara adiksi game online dan kesehatan mental siswa. Kecenderungan adiksi game online dan kualitas pertemanan di dunia nyata secara bersama-sama signifikan memprediksi kesehatan mental siswa.

Abstract

Abstract This research is aimed to investigate the effect of Social Story intervention combined with roleplay to increase social competence, such as social understanding and social skill on a teenager with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The design of this research is single subject design, with a 14-year-old teenage boy with ASD as a participant. Social understanding was measured by answers from the participant on social story worksheet, whereas social skill was measured qualitatively observed during roleplay and on natural settings. The results showed that the implementation of Social Story combined with roleplay improves the social competence, cognitively (social understanding) and behaviourally (social skill) on a teenager with ASD.   AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek dari intervensi yang menerapkan Social Story dan roleplay untuk mengembangkan kompetensi sosial yang terdiri atas pamahaman sosial dan keterampilan sosial pada remaja dengan Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Desain penelitian ini adalah single-subject design, dengan seorang remaja laki-laki berusia 14 tahun tahun yang didiagnosa memiliki ASD sebagai partisipan. Pemahaman sosial secara kognitif diperoleh dari jawaban partisipan pada lembar kerja Social Story. Sedangkan dari ranah perilaku, pemahaman sosial tercermin dari perilaku yang ditampilkan saat roleplay dan di situasi alamiah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Social Story dan roleplay berhasil meningkatkan kompetensi sosial, baik secara kognitif (pemahaman sosial) maupun secara perilaku (keterampilan sosial) pada remaja dengan ASD.

Abstract

AbstractThe zoning system for State Junior High Schools in Bandung is one of the important things related to student learning activities. The zoning system is a school system that can affect the level of student motivation. At the level of student learning motivation can be influenced by internal and external factors, several forms of internal factors, namely in the form of perceptions of the school system and perceptions of deprived conditions. This study aims to determine the influence of procedural justice perception and perceptions of relative deprivation to the motivation of learning student in the zoning system of Public Junior High School in Bandung. The research was conducted with a quantitative approach with a regression model. The research was conducted with a quantitative approach, with a regression model using regression analysis with SPSS 25 software. The sampling technique used was quota sampling to capture 397 respondents according to the research target. The process of distributing the instruments was carried out by distributing questionnaires. The instruments used in this study were the Selection Procedural Justice Scale (SPJS) developed by Severt (2002), the Personal Relative Deprivation Scale (PRDS) developed by Callan et al. (2008), and the scale of learning motivation developed by Aritonang (2008). The data analysis technique used is linear regression and multiple regression to calculate the influence. The results showed that procedural justice perception and perceptions of deprivation relative had a influence on student learning motivation.  AbstrakSistem zonasi SMP Negeri di Kota Bandung merupakan salah satu hal penting terkait aktivitas belajar murid. Sistem zonasi merupakan sistem sekolah yang dapat memengaruhi tingkat motivasi belajar murid. Pada tingkat motivasi belajar murid salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal, beberapa bentuk faktor internal yaitu berupa persepsi pada sistem sekolah dan persepsi pada kondisi kesenjangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh persepsi keadilan prosedural dan persepsi deprivasi relatif terhadap motivasi belajar murid dalam sistem zonasi pada murid SMP Negeri di Kota Bandung. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan model regresi yang menggunakan analisis regresi dengan software SPSS 25. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah quota sampling untuk menjaring 397 responden yang sesuai dengan target penelitian. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Selection Procedural Justice Scale (SPJS) yang dikembangkan oleh Severt (2002), Personal Relative Deprivation Scale (PRDS) yang dikembangkan oleh Callan, dkk. (2008), dan skala motivasi belajar yang dikembangkan oleh Aritonang (2008). Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to see how the relationship between family support and psychological well-being of parents who have moderately retarded children. Family support is a form of interpersonal relationship that includes attitudes, actions and acceptance of family members, so that family members feel someone is paying attention. Psychological well-being is a condition in which individuals are able to accept themselves as they are, able to form warm relationships with others, have independence from social pressures, are able to control the external environment, have a meaning in life, and are able to realize themselves continuously. High family support will have a positive impact on psychological well-being. This research uses quantitative methods. The scale used is the family support scale adapted from the research of Meka Yusselda and Ice Yulia (2016), and the psychological well-being scale from Ryff's Scales of Psychological Well-being which was adapted from the research of M. Ilham Fahmy AM (2017). The subjects in this study were 30 parents. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between family support and psychological well-being. Thus, it can be concluded that the higher the family support, the higher the psychological well-being of parents who have children with moderate mental retardation and vice versa.  AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat bagaimana hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan psychological well-being pada orang tua yang memiliki anak tunagrahita sedang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 orang tua Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala dukungan keluarga yang diadaptasi dari penelitian Meka Yusselda dan Ice Yulia (2016), dan skala psychological well-being dari Ryff’s Scales of Psychological Well-being yang diadaptasi dari penelitian M. Ilham Fahmy AM (2017). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara dukungan keluarga dengan psychological well-being. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi dukungan keluarga, semakin tinggi pula psychological well-being pada orang tua yang memiliki anak tunagrahita sedang dan begitupula sebaliknya.
