Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic resulted in millions of deaths including in Indonesia in general and Pontianak in particular. Patients exposed to positive exposure to Covid in West Kalimantan Province alone, the number of people exposed to positive Covid 19 as of 2 May 2020 were 61 patients and 34 of them were in Pontianak so that the government emphasized every agency to carry out social distancing and end up with PSBB or Large-Scale Social Restrictions. In terms of education, this social distancing instruction and PSBB resulted in the termination of face-to-face lectures and replaced with online activities including lectures at the Pontianak State Polytechnic. In addition to the implementation of the applied health protocols, educational buildings in general and lecture buildings in particular must have health standards. Therefore, it is necessary to study the existing building and space patterns and their relation to the activities of the actors in the lecture building which refer to the principles of healthy buildings. The final result of this research is expected to be able to bring up a pattern of lecture buildings that meet health building standards and be able to adapt and anticipate environmental changes that will occur in the future. This type of research is a descriptive study using qualitative and quantitative approaches. In this study, the quantitative method used is in the form of numbers obtained from the measurement results, while the qualitative method is in the form of analysis based on three (3) dimensional location images which refer to the principles of a healthy building. The result is identifying how the arrangement of lecture buildings in the Pontianak State Polytechnic environment is not yet in accordance with the principles of healthy building

Abstract

Satu diantara beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja manusia di Politeknik Negeri Pontianak adalah kondisi iklim setempat. Politeknik Negeri Pontianak yang berlokasi di Provinsi Kalimantan Barat memiliki kondisi iklim tropis lembab dengan karakteristik tingkat kadar air di udara lebih tinggi dari zona lainnya. Kondisi iklim tersebut berdampak pada ketidaknyamanan dalam beraktivitas sehingga menyebabkan turunnya produktivitas dan secara tidak langsung dapat berpengaruh pada penurunan kualitas dari bangunan gedung di kawasan lingkungan Politeknik Negeri Pontianak. Upaya untuk meningkatkan produktifitas tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan penggunaan penghawaan buatan berupa penggunaan peralatan mekanis namun berdampak pada penggunaan energi tambahan berupa energi listrik dan peningkatan biaya operasional bangunan gedung. Upaya lain yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan memanfaatkan potensi angin untuk kebutuhan pendinginan lingkungan sehingga dapat berdampak pada kenyamanan termal dan peningkatan produktivitas. Pemanfaatan potensi angin tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan konfigurasi tata massa bangunan yang tepat sehingga aliran angin dapat bergerak sesuai yang diharapkan untuk mencapai tujuan pendinginan bangunan dan kenyamanan termal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan identifikasi pengaruh bentuk bangunan gedung dan konfigurasi ruang terhadap perilaku angin di Kawasan Politeknik Negeri Pontianak.

Abstract

Pontianak merupakah Ibu Kota Provinsi Kalimantan Barat yang sangat kental dengan sungai, rawa dan hutan hujannya. Provinsi Kalimantan merupakan salah satu paru-paru dunia karena luas hutannya, yaitu sekitar 40,8 juta hektar. Sayangnya laju deforestasi di Kalimantan demikian cepatnya. Menurut data yang dikeluarkan Departemen Kehutanan, angka deforestasi di Kalimantan pada 2000 sampai dengan 2005 mencapai sekitar 1,23 juta hektare. Pembangunan kota yang terjadi mengakibatkan penebangan pohon yang begitu massive sehingga menyisakan beberapa DNA hutan dan pepohonan yang dahulu pernah ada. Kawasan Sungai Jawi atau jalan H.R.A. Rahman merupakah salah satu yang dahulunya pernah menjadi daerah logging besar di Kota Pontianak yang ditumbuhi berbagai pohon hutan seperti pohon Jawi, pohon Angsana, pohon Trambesi dan pohon Tanjung. Beberapa tatanan pohon hingga sekarang masih dapat dijumpai di koridor jalan H.R.A. Rahman yang memiliki tinggi serta kanopi yang besar. Koridor pada jalan ini juga memiliki peruntukan lahan sebagai kawasan perdagangan dan jasa yang cukup berpengaruh di Kota Pontianak sehingga hal ini yang menjadi ketertarikan penulis untuk meneliti bagimana persepsi tingkat kenyamanan thermal terhadap pengaruh pohon pada segmen jalan H.R.A. Rahman. Penelitian ini nantinya menggunakan bantuan software googlearth untuk mengukur lokasi amatan, observasi wawancara serta aplikasi Rhinoceros untuk mengukur dan visualisasi besar radiasi serta pembayangan sinar matahari terhadap kondisi koridor jalan H.R.A. Rahman.

Abstract

The Indonesian government's policy of increasing the price of fuel oil (BBM) in 2022 had a significant impact on people's lives. The city of Pontianak is one of those affected. As a city with more than 422,429 active drivers, the increase in fuel prices affects spending on daily mobility. Several cities in Indonesia have implemented public transportation facilities that are running well. However, research related to public transportation in the city of Pontianak is still minimal. This study aims to examine the perspective of people in Pontianak city on public transportation regarding the increase in fuel prices. The data collection method used a questionnaire survey with a purposive sampling technique. The survey results were analyzed by looking at the relationship between the mean value and standard deviation. Correlation analysis between several variables was conducted in this study. The study found the inconsistency of public perceptions about public transportation in Pontianak. These results showed the negative correlation in the analysis result between variables regarding opinions related to saving mobilization costs and responses about the urgency of public transportation

Abstract

Air conditioning is used to provide thermal comfort for building users is one of the conditions that often occurred in tropical buildings. As a result, the energy consumption of the building increased. One of the solutions to solve this problem is by reducing the heat that received by the building by finding the form of building. The process of determining the typology of office buildings is divided into 4 geometric form, namely squares, rectangles, triangles, and cylinders. The process is carried out with the function of the building as a rental office based on its geometric form. The method used is a simulation using the Ecotect program, for the weather data using Malaysia weather data which has been adjusted to the latitude of the location in Pontianak as well as some data obtained from BMKG for Pontianak City, West Kalimantan. In the process of simulating the shape of the building with the respect to the heat transfer value, several things are taken into consideration, namely the location, orientation, and the form of the building.
