Abstract

The city of Surabaya has a lot of public transportation that is easy for the public to find, however problems are still often encountered such as traffic jams, inappropriate travel routes, etc. Therefore, strategic planning based on analysis of internal and external environmental conditions is very important to improve transportation services in Surabaya. This study aims to determine the community's perspective on SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) on improving public transportation services in Surabaya. The approach used is qualitative, based on evaluation of external factors (EFE) and internal factors (IFE) with describing in accordance with the theory of the five dimensions of service quality from Zeithaml et. al. (1990) namely tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empath. Data was collected through interviews, observation, documentation. and literature study. The results of this study provide the fact that there are still many problems with public transportation facilities and infrastructure in Surabaya, such as seats that are not suitable for use, damaged air conditioning, passenger transportation that does not meet capacity, damaged road conditions, etc. The next fact is that the public transportation service mechanism in Surabaya has been made transparent and simple by using the GoBis application for payments. However, public transportation services in Surabaya still have inhibiting factors, such as the GoBis application which is not available for IOS users, guide tiles and braille signs at bus stops for the disabled are not yet available. Based on this, the strategies that can be used by the Surabaya City Transportation Department are the development of traffic engineering using the e-dishub technology system, government regulations regarding the provision of public transportation subsidies and the development of facilities and infrastructure in the transportation sector

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Effectiveness of Health Services at Bangun Jaya Health Center. The aspects used to adopt the Theory of Determining Characteristics of Effectiveness Levels, namely availability, accessibility, affordability and acceptability. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, clearly describing the data and facts in the field. Data sources were obtained from secondary and primary data using observation techniques, namely directly observing the object under study and interviews using interview guidelines and documentation by collecting the documents needed. The informants in this study were 9 people using the purposive sampling technique. The results showed a significant medical personnel and equipment shortage at the Puskesmas. This is evidenced by several shortcomings at the Bangun Jaya Health Center, such as the lack of health workers' health equipment and emergency services that are not yet available outside operating hours. This is detrimental to service users because they must look for other health services with the risk of more expensive treatment costs. This is what causes Bangun Jaya Health Center health services not to be optimal enough. In order for this health service to be more optimal, additional medical personnel and equipment upgrades are needed to improve services and add emergency services at the Puskesmas outside of Puskesmas service operating hours.

Abstract

Public service delivery in Bengkulu City faces challenges in efficiency and effectiveness. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Electronic Citizen Administration Service System (SLAWE) implemented by the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Bengkulu City. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that SLAWE has simplified bureaucratic processes and increased service accessibility. However, its effectiveness is hindered by network instability, manual verification processes, and limited operator training, leading to document processing delays. While procedures align with Standard Operating Procedures, improvements are needed to address public confusion and prevent identity fraud. The study concludes that further socialization is necessary to enhance public understanding of SLAWE requirements and effective usage.

Abstract

Bantul Seroja Program is a breakthrough innovation launched by the Bantul Regency Government to integrate traditional and conventional health services amid the disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic. This program succeeded in placing Bantul Regency in the top 45 public service innovations of Kemenpan-RB in 2022. By carrying out the New Public Governance paradigm, this program involves collaboration between the government, MSMEs, and the community in making and marketing traditional herbal medicine. This research uses a qualitative method of literature study, using secondary data sources obtained from books, supporting articles, scientific papers, previous studies and other literature.Despite facing challenges in resource availability and the need for product diversification, Bantul Seroja has shown significant improvements in the quality of health services and local economic welfare. Recommendations to strengthen the program include improved coordination across sectors, development of a wider network, and more optimal utilization of resources. With these measures, Bantul Seroja is not only able to respond to the challenges of the pandemic but also encourage sustainability and inclusiveness in local governance. This program is a model for implementing New Public Governance that is effective in overcoming crises and improving the quality of life of the community.

Abstract

In the midst of the times, digitalization has proven to be one of the keys to business resilience and sustainability, especially MSMEs which are one of the business categories that have been quite hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the areas in East Java that mobilizes the community of MSME actors is Laban Village, Menganti District, Gresik. Laban Central Park is a forum for many local MSME actors from Laban Village, but not many of the MSME actors have enough knowledge about business digitalization and can apply this knowledge, even though the benefits have proven to be quite large for business progress in the future. Therefore, based on the results of interviews and sharing sessions that have been conducted, a work program has been prepared to introduce or increase knowledge about business digitalization for MSME actors in Laban Village, especially in Laban Central Park. The work program is carried out with the stages of observation, socialization, and assistance to use social media and digital wallets as business tools, with the hope that participants can apply digitalization to advance their businesses. Suggestions that can be given based on the observation and implementation of activities are so that there is a follow-up or program that is implemented in the long term so that assistance for MSME actors, especially for middle-aged people, can be carried out more intensively and in detail so that they can continue to hone the abilities and habits of MSME actors in using business digitalization technology.
