Abstract

Background : According to the World Health Organization (WHO), maternal mortality is still quite high, every day around the world around 800 women die from complications during pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium. In 2013, 289,000 women died during and after pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium. Between 1990 and 2013, the global maternal mortality rate (i.e. the number of maternal deaths per 100,000 live births) decreased by only 2.6% per year. This figure is still far from the target of reducing the annual MMR (5.5%) needed to achieve the 5th MDG target (Andiani, and Retno, 2014). Method : The research objective was to determine the compliance of mothers in conducting postpartum visits. Result : Results of the Research on Maternal Compliance in Postpartum Visits Postpartum Visits in Pulau Buluh Village, Bulang District, Batam City It was found that maternal post-partum visits in Pulau Buluh Village consisted of 35 respondents, namely 19 respondents (54%) postnatal visits were obedient, and 16 respondents (46 %) postpartum visits are non-compliant Conclusion : It is known that 19 (54%) of the respondent's frequency distribution of Compliance Postpartum visits are complete and 16 (46%) respondents who are incomplete during postpartum visits

Abstract

Background : According to the World Health Organization (WHO) HIV continues to be a public health problem globally, having claimed more than 35 million lives so far. In Indonesia since the beginning of the HIV-AIDS epidemic, nearly 78 million people have been infected with HIV and around 39 million people have died due to HIV. Adolescence is easily carried over to bad things such as smoking, having sex, drugs, or free sex and low levels of it. reproductive health knowledge including HIV / AIDS. The purpose of this study was to determine adolescent attitudes about HIV / AIDS prevention. Method : This study used a descriptive research design. The length of the study was 6 months with a population of all class X and XI students of SMA N 4 Batam as many as 353 students, the sampling was systematic random sampling with a sample size of 77 respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Result : Research results Adolescents have a positive attitude as many as 50 respondents (64.9%) and 27 respondents (35.1%) have a negative attitude. Conclusion : The conclusion is that more than half of the respondents are positive. Suggestions for the school it is suggested to be able to collaborate with the BKKBN or puskesmas to establish reproductive health services for adolescents in schools, especially on how to prevent HIV / AIDS so that early students have good attitudes and behavior towards HIV / AIDS.

Abstract

Background : Toxoplasmosis is an infection caused by Toxoplasma gondii. Toxoplasmosis occurs in eating raw or undercooked food, raw or undercooked meat (such as satay, steak), or touching soil or cat feces that contain parasites. Toxoplasmosis is one of the most dangerous infectious diseases in the mother that results in infant disability and fetal death. The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge of pregnant women about toxoplasmosis. Method : The research method used is descriptive, carried out at the Lubuk Baja Health Center, Batam City, the study was conducted for 6 months, the population in this study were all pregnant women who were in the Lubuk Baja Batam City Health Center with a total sample of 98 people, the sampling technique was carried out by using positive techniques Sampling with research instruments using a questionnaire. Result : The results of the study of 98 respondents, there were 54 respondents (55%) with less knowledge, 32 respondents (32.6%) had sufficient knowledge and 12 respondents (12.2%) had good knowledge. Conclusion : Conclusion more than half of the respondents had less knowledge. It is hoped that pregnant women should seek more information related to toxoplasmosis in order to prevent infection

Abstract

Background : The increasing number of Indonesia's population is the impact of increasing birth rates. KB Injection is the most widely used family planning by women of reproductive age (WUS). The height of the 3-month injection family planning acceptors is influenced by several factors, namely age, education, occupation, income, and parietas. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between husband and parietas support with the choice of injection contraception. Method : The research method is analytical survey with cross sectional approach. Conducted at the Baloi Permai puskesmas, the study was conducted for 6 months, the population in this study were all injection family planning acceptors in the working area of the Baloi Pemai Puskesmas as many as 6,219 acceptors. With a sample size of 98 people, sampling using purposive sample with research instruments using a questionnaire and analyzed using Chi Square. Result : The results of the parity study of acceptors who chose the most injection contraceptive were the category of children 2-4 years as many as 57 people (58.2%). Contraceptive family planning acceptors who chose injection contraceptives the most were injection contraceptives for 3 months as many as 51 respondents (52.0%). with a p value = 0.025. Conclusion : Suggestions for agat acceptors can find out the advantages and disadvantages of contraceptives to be used and should ask for an explanation from health workers to provide assistance in choosing contraceptives so that the family planning used is truly safe to use even in the long term

Abstract

Background : For early detection of complications in postpartum mothers, it is necessary to monitor the examination of postpartum mothers and increase the coverage of postpartum family planning by making at least 3 postpartum visits with time requirements, namely: the first postpartum visit during the period of 6 hours to 3 days after delivery, the second postpartum visit. within the 4th day to the 28th day after delivery, the third postpartum visit within the 29th to 42nd day after delivery. (MOH, 2012). The purpose of this study was to determine the education of postpartum mothers in the Tebing Community Health Center. Method : This study used a descriptive research design. The research was conducted in the working area of the Tebing Community Health Center. In the study, the population was postpartum mothers who were in the working area of the Tebing Community Health Center. In this study, researchers used purposive sampling technique, which is to determine a sample of the population based on specific objectives or according to the criteria desired by the researcher. The samples taken in this study were postpartum mothers in the working area of the Tebing Community Health Center. The method / technique of data collection was carried out by means of direct communication, namely by asking questions through written questionnaires with postpartum mothers who were in the working area of the Tebing Community Health Center. Univariate analysis is used to explain or describe the characteristics of each variable under study by presenting a description of the frequency distribution. Abstract

Background : Hypertension is a dangerous disease, especially if it occurs in women who are pregnant. hypertension increases mortality and morbidity in pregnant women. According to the Inter-census Survey Data (SUPAS) in 2015, the maternal mortality rate was recorded at 305 per 100,000 live births, which was caused by hypertension at 13% (Indonesia KKR, 2017). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between diet and the incidence of hypertension in third trimester pregnant women. Method : The research method used was an analytic survey with a cross sectional approach. Conducted at Puskesmas Batu Aji, Batam City, the study was conducted for 6 months, the population in this study were 206 pregnant women in the third trimester, with a sample of 67 respondents, using the Porposive sampling technique. Data collection using a questionnaire. Data presented in tabular and textual form, data analysis using Chi-square. Result : The results of the study of 67 pregnant women in the third trimester, found that 45 respondents had hypertension, there were 59 respondents or (73.1%) with poor diet. From the Chi-Square test with a limit of significance (α) = 0.05 and the result of p-value = 0.000 which means p-velue <(α), it is said that the two variables have a relationship or Ha is accepted, this means that there is a relationship between eating patterns and events. Conclusion : Hypertension in Trimester III Pregnant Women at Batu Aji Health Center. Suggestions so that respondents and readers can apply a good diet that is obtained in everyday life.

Abstract

Background : Tetanus is still a leading cause of maternal and neonatal death and illness. Immunization of TT (Tetanus Toxoid) which is a process of building immunity as an effort to prevent tetanus infection. The estimated global incidence of tetanus is 18 per 100,000 population per year. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women in immunizing Tetanus Toxoid. Method : The research method used was an analytic survey with a cross sectional approach. Conducted at Puskesmas Botania, Batam City, the study was conducted for 6 months, the population in this study were all trimester III primigravida pregnant women, with a sample of 30 respondents, using a total sampling technique. Data collection using a questionnaire. Data presented in tabular and textual form, data analysis using Chi-square. Result : The results of the study of 30 respondents found that 20 respondents (66.7%) had less knowledge about TT immunization, it was found that 19 respondents (63.3%) had negative attitudes, based on bivariate analysis using chi-square. From the Chi-Square test with a significance limit (α) = 0.05 and the result of p-value = 0.000 which means p-velue <(α). Conclusion : It is said that the two variables have a relationship or Ha is accepted, this means that there is a relationship between maternal knowledge and attitudes. in carrying out TT immunization at the Botania Health Center, Batam City. Research suggestions for pregnant women increase knowledge about TT immunization so that mothers comply with TT immunization

Abstract

Background : Suyati et al (2011) conducted a study on the relationship between knowledge of pregnant women about the delivery process and the level of anxiety in facing childbirth. It was found that out of 48 pregnant women, 13 pregnant women (27.1%) had sufficient knowledge and experienced severe anxiety. This is because the understanding of a pregnant woman to know the process of childbirth is very important because pregnant women often have disturbing thoughts, as a development of an anxiety reaction to the stories they get. A number of fears arise in the third trimester. Pregnant women will feel anxious about the life of the baby and his own life, such as: whether the baby will be born normally. The purpose of this study is the relationship between work and the anxiety of primigravida pregnant women trimester III in dealing with childbirth. Method : The design in this study was cross sectional. The research was carried out at Puskesmas Batu Aji. The population in this study were all trimester III primigravida pregnant women who visited and performed ANC examinations. The sampling technique used in this study was total sampling. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire sheet and a check list. To measure the level of anxiety using the Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HRS-A). Chi-Square hypothesis test. Result : Research Results From the results of the chi-square calculation, the p-value is 0.571, which means that the p-value is ≥ 0.05. Conclusion : The conclusion is that there is a relationship between work and the anxiety of primigravida pregnant women trimester III in dealing with childbirth

Abstract

Background : Abortion is the threat or release of the product of conception at ≤ 20 weeks of gestation. In the world there are 20 million cases of abortion every year and 70,000 women die from abortion each year. One of the causes of abortion, among others, parity, maternal age, infectious diseases. This study aims to determine the relationship between parity and abortion. Method : The research method used was an analytic survey with a cross sectional approach. Conducted at ST Elisabeth Hospital, Batam City, the study was conducted for 6 months, all pregnant women recorded in the medical records at Santa Elisabeth Hospital, Batam City, namely 242 pregnant women for the period 2020. Sampling was using total sampling technique with research instruments using checklists. Data analysis using Chi square. Result : The results showed that most pregnant women with primiparous parity were 126 people (52.1%). Of the 242 pregnant women, 124 (51.2%) did not abort and 118 (48.8%) experienced abortion. Based on the results of the chi-square statistical test analysis, the value of ρ value was 0.002 smaller than α (0.05). Conclusion : Which means that there is a significant relationship between parity and the incidence of abortion at Santa Elisabeth Hospital. Suggestions to further researchers to be able to expand the research by taking more samples from several other hospitals, in order to strengthen the accuracy of the research results.

Abstract

Background : Exclusive breastfeeding is the best food for babies, but in its implementation there are many obstacles, one of which is the mother working so that she has to leave the baby at home. Working mothers can still do exclusive breastfeeding by expressing milk in the workplace, and providing four clean and closed ones for expressing. The target for achieving exclusive breastfeeding set by the Ministry of Health is 80%, while in Indonesia in 2015 the target was 71.62%. The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge of working mothers on how to store breast milk. Method : The research method used was descriptive, carried out at the Matahari Posyandu, the working area of the Botania Community Health Center, the study was conducted for 6 months, the population in this study were all working mothers who had babies 0-12, the sample was 43 people with the sampling technique using total sampling, instrument. research using a questionnaire. Result : The results showed that most of the respondents had good knowledge, namely 35 people (81.4%), while 8 people (18.6%) had poor knowledge. Conclusion : The conclusion that can be taken is that most working mothers who have babies have knowledge. good about how to store breast milk. It is recommended that the mother of the baby is always looking for information about breast milk so that she can continue to give her breast milk
