Abstract

Background : Based on the Riau Islands Province Health Profile in 2016, exclusive breastfeeding shows an increase but is still far below the national target (80%) and still low compared to the national achievement (54%). The trend of exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Riau Islands Province from 2014 was 31.74%, 2015 was 41.70% and 2016 was 41.91%. The research objective was to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge and exclusive breastfeeding. Method : Research method This research is a research in the form of an analytic survey with a cross sectional study design. The method used is quota sampling and obtained 79 respondents as a sample. Data collection using a questionnaire. Result : The analysis of the relationship between knowledge of respondents and exclusive breastfeeding showed that of the 11 respondents who had low knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding, 11 respondents (13.9%) did not provide exclusive breastfeeding and there were no respondents who provided exclusive breastfeeding (0%), whereas Of the 68 respondents who have high knowledge, 37 respondents (46.8%) do not provide exclusive breastfeeding and 31 respondents (39.2%) provide exclusive breastfeeding. Based on the results of the chi square statistical test, it was obtained p = 0.004, which means that the p value was less than 0.05 (0.004 <0.05).

Abstract

Background : Based on data from the Karimun District Health Office in 2017, there was 0.9% malnutrition, 4.8% malnutrition, and the prevalence of underweight children was 5.7%. Meanwhile, according to the Center for Data and Information, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in 2017 the nutritional status of children under five to 59 months according to BW / U has 3.7% malnutrition, 14.0% malnutrition, 80.1% good nutrition and 2.1% over nutrition. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge and parenting about the nutritional status of toddlers with the incidence of malnutrition in children under five in Baran Timur Village, Meral District, Karimun Regency. Method : This research used an analytical research design with a cross sectional design approach. Meral Karimun Regency. In this study, the population is all mothers who have toddlers aged 3-59 months who live in Baran Timur Village, Meral District, Karimun Regency as many as 460 people. The data is presented in the form of a cross table then the data is analyzed using the SPSS program (Social Science Program Statistics) through the chi-square statistical test using a significant level of 0.05 Result : from 82 respondents, it is found that 1 respondent (33.3%) with less parenting is malnutrition status, 1 respondent (33.3%) with poor parenting was malnourished and 1 respondent (33.3%) with insufficient parenting was good nutritional status. While 21 respondents (63.6%) with moderate parenting were good nutritional status and 41 respondents (89.1%) with good parenting were good nutritional status obtained a p value of 0.003

Abstract

Background : The causes of the postpartum blues include predisposing factors which include hormonal factors, physical fatigue, age, parity, pregnancy status, education level and marital status, enabling factors which include socio-economic as well as driving factors which include social support (Mansur in Hasanah, 2014). This study aims to determine the relationship between husband's support and the incidence of postpartum blues. Method : This study used an analytical survey research method with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all postpartum mothers who gave birth at the Tanjung Balai Health Center, totaling 113 people. Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis using computer aids through the SPSS program. Result : The results of the chi square statistical test showed that the p value = 0.01, which means that the p value is less than 0.05 (0.01 <0.05). Congclusions : The conclusion is that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, this shows that there is a relationship between husband's support for the incidence of postpartum blues.

Abstract

Background :The low level of public awareness about the health of pregnant women is a determining factor in the mortality rate, although there are still many factors that must be considered in dealing with this problem. The issue of death that occurs is due to common indications, namely bleeding, pregnancy poisoning accompanied by convulsions, abortion, and infection (Depkes RI, 2015). The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge of third trimester Primigravida pregnant women in dealing with childbirth at Batu Aji Health Center. Method :The design of this study was descriptive. The research was carried out at Puskesmas Batu Aji. The population in this study were all trimester III primigravida pregnant women who visited and conducted ANC examinations at Batu Aji Health Center as many as 40 pregnant women. The sampling technique used in this study was total sampling. Univariate analysis aims to explain or describe the characteristics of each research variable. The form of univariate analysis depends on the type of data. For numerical data, mean or average, median and standard deviation is used. Result : The results and conclusions of this study were the knowledge of third trimester primigravida pregnant women at Batu Aji Community Health Center was 35 (87.5%) mothers with good knowledge, 5 (12.5%) mothers experienced less knowledge. Congclusions : Knowledge of third trimester primigravida pregnant women at Batu Aji Community Health Center is 35 (87.5%) mothers with good knowledge, 5 (12.5%) mothers experience less knowledge

Abstract

Background : In Indonesia, it is estimated that 15,000 new cases of cervical cancer occur each year, while the death rate is estimated at 7500 cases per year (Emilia, 2010). Frequent delays in treatment have resulted in many cervical cancer sufferers dying, even though cervical cancer can be treated if it has not reached an advanced stage, of course by knowing in advance whether it is infected or not by using several early detection methods, including the Pap smer method, IVA ( Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid), Thin Prep, and Colposcopy, vicography, papnet (computerized). (Nugroho, 2010). The purpose of this study was to determine the behavior of posyandu cadres towards iva examination at the Kundur barat public health center. Method : This research design is descriptive. The research was conducted at the West Kundur Community Health Center. Population is a generalization area consisting of objects (objects) / subjects (people) that have certain qualities and characteristics that are determined by the researcher for research and conclusions are drawn (Sulistyaningsih, 2011). In the study, the population was the posyandu cadres in the West Kundur Community Health Center (Puskesmas) as many as 214 cadres. In taking the sample in this study using purposive sampling technique, namely purposive sampling in accordance with the requirements / sample criteria required. The type of instrument used in this study was a questionnaire, in the form of a written question addressed to the respondent to be answered. Univariate analysis is used to explain or describe the characteristics of each variable under study by presenting a description of the frequency distribution. The instrument used for knowledge is a questionnaire, the form of questions used is a true or false statement for the assessment of the respondent's answer, if the respondent answers correctly each question item is given a value of 1 and if it is wrong it is given a value of 0. Result : The results and conclusions in this study are: know the behavior of posyandu cadres regarding IVA examinations at the West Kundur Puskesmas in 2018 the majority never conducted IVA examinations, namely 38 respondents (55.9%) out of 68 respondents. Abstract

Background : According to WHO, the number of injectable contraceptive use worldwide is as much as 4,000,000 or about 45%. In the United States, the number of injectable contraceptives is 30%, while in Indonesia, injection contraception is one of the most popular contraceptives. Contraception in Indonesia is the most interested, namely injection contraception at 34.3% (RISKESDAS, 2013). Method : The design that researchers use is a descriptive design that aims to find out the picture. The research data collection was conducted at the Independent Practice Midwives. The population is all active family planning acceptors recorded in the medical record and new acceptors. Sampling was done by using the total sample method. The type of instrument used in this research is a questionnaire, which is a written question addressed to the respondent to be answered. Univariate analysis is used to explain or describe the characteristics of each variable being studied by displaying an overview of the frequency distribution. Result : It is known that the duration of use of DMPA injection contraceptives ≥ 1 year was 27 acceptors (77.1%) while for the duration of use ≤ 1 year there were 8 acceptors (22.9%). Congclusions : It is known that the duration of use of DMPA injection contraceptives ≥ 1 year was 27 acceptors (77.1%) while for the duration of use ≤ 1 year there were 8 acceptors (22.9%).

Abstract

ackground : From a health point of view, adolescent sexual behavior, especially heavy kissing and sex, poses several risks, such as the spread of venereal diseases including HIV / AIDS and unwanted pregnancy. This latter problem can lead to the spread of venereal diseases including HIV / AIDS and unwanted pregnancy. The latter problem can lead to other new problems, namely abortion with all its risks, high morbidity and mortality rates, premature birth and low birth weight (Wong, 2008). The research objective was to determine the attitudes of adolescents about sexuality in SMA Negeri 5 Batam City. Method : The design that researchers use is a descriptive design that aims to find out the picture. The place of this research is confirmed at SMAN 5 Batam City. The population in this study were all students of class X, XI in SMA N 5 Batam City as many as 987 students. The sample in this study were 91 respondents. The sample selected in this study used systematic random sampling by using multiples of 6. This means that each member of the population has the same opportunity to be taken as a sample of Notoatmodjo (2010) in Vivi (2015). The measuring instrument in this study using a questionnaire, by giving a guided questionnaire. Result : Research result. Attitudes of adolescents about sexuality in SMA N 5 Batam city, it is known that the majority of adolescent attitudes have positive attitudes as many as 48 respondents (52, 9%). Congclusions : The conclusion is it is known that the majority of students' attitudes about sexuality at SMAN 5 Batam are positive as many as 48 respondents (52.7%)

Abstract

Background : In Indonesia, eclampsia in addition to bleeding and infection is still the main cause of maternal mortality and a high cause of perinatal mortality. Therefore, early diagnosis of preeclampsia, which is a preliminary level of eclampsia, and its handling need to be implemented immediately to reduce maternal and child mortality (Prawiroharjo, 2012). Method : The research design used was case control. Population is the whole object of research. The population in this study were all women who gave birth at Muhammad Sani Karimun Hospital, namely 218 people with the number of preeclampsia incidents of 30 people. The number of cases to be used is 2 (two) times the number of cases, namely 60 people. The analysis used was the Ods Ratio (OR), which is a measure of the association of exposure (risk factors) with the incidence of disease in the risk group (exposed to risk factors) compared to the incidence of disease in the group that is not at risk (not exposed to risk factors). Result : The results of the study, the value of the Prevalence Odds Ratio (POR) = 6,875 with a value of 95% Confidence Interval (CI) = 3,318-12,410. Congclusions : The conclusion of this research is that respondents with high parity are 6.8 times more likely to experience preeclampsia than respondents with little parity.

Abstract

Background : Hypertension is one of the biggest health problems in Indonesia, this is evidenced by the frequency with which it is found in primary health services in Indonesia with a fairly high prevalence of 25.8%. Based on the results of measurement of blood pressure, the prevalence in people over 18 years of age was 31.7% in 2007 and according to provinces in Indonesia, the highest was South Kalimantan with 39.6% and the lowest was West Papua with 20.1%. In 2013, hypertension decreased by 5.9% from 31.7% to 25.8%, this decline could occur due to several factors such as different measurement tools, people who are starting to become aware of the importance of health and people who are starting to understand about the danger of hypertension. The 5 provinces with the highest prevalence of hypertension in absolute numbers / people according to the 2013 Riskesdas, namely Bangka Belitung province with 30.9%, South Kalimantan 30.8%, East Kalimantan 29.6%, West Java 29.4% and Gorontalo with 29.4. % (Ministry of Health, Republic of Indonesia, 2014). The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge of pregnant women about the dangers of hypertension in the working area of the Tanjungbatu Public Health Center, Kundur District. Method :This study used a descriptive research design. The research site will be conducted at the Tanjungbatu Kundur Community Health Center, Karimun Regency, Riau Islands. The population in this study were all pregnant women in the Tanjungbatu Public Health Center, totaling 160 people. Result : It can be seen that there is an average score on the knowledge of pregnant women about the dangers of hypertension, namely 1.1613 with 20 questions and 62 respondents conclusion : an average score on the knowledge of pregnant women about the dangers of hypertension, namely 1.1613 with 20 questions and 62 respondents.

Abstract

Background : According to the World Health Organization (WHO) HIV continues to be a global public health problem, claiming more than 70 million people are infected with the HIV virus and around 35 million people have died. In 2015, approximately 1.1 (940 000-1300000) million people have died due to being infected with the HIV virus. There were an estimated 36.7 (34.0-39.8) million people living with HIV at the end of 2016. Globally, Sub-Saharan Africa is the most affected region, with nearly 1 in 25 adults living with HIV. (WHO 2016). The purpose of this study was to determine the compliance of commercial sex workers on using condoms in the localization of Teluk Bakau, Batam City. Method : This study used a descriptive research design. The location of this research was carried out in the localization of Teluk Bakau, Batam City. The population in this study were all commercial sex workers (CSWs) in the Teluk Bakau brothels with a total of 95 people. The sample is an object under study and is considered to represent the entire population, here the writer uses a purposive technique, namely by means of sampling based on criteria. The measuring instrument in this study using a questionnaire. This analysis was carried out on each variable. These results are in the form of distribution and percentage of each variable. Data analysis was carried out in a univariate manner by looking at the results of the frequency calculation and the presentation of the results which could later be used as benchmarks for discussion and conclusions. Results and conclusions : It can be seen that the compliance of CSWs using condoms in the Bakau Bay brothel, Batam City is the majority of the majority behave obediently as many as 46 respondents (93.9%)
