Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to describe how the ISMUBA curriculum is implemented at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta, to outline the specific indicators of Islamic character embedded within that implementation, and to identify both the challenges encountered and the evaluation processes used in carrying out the curriculum. Methodology: Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the research was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta with the curriculum itself as the object of study. Participants included the curriculum vice principal, teachers, and students in grades 2 and 5. Data were gathered through interviews with school leaders and educators, classroom and congregational observations, and review of relevant documentation. To ensure validity, the study used source triangulation—drawing on multiple informants—and technique triangulation— using various data‐collection methods. Data analysis proceeded through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. Results: Implementation began with detailed planning, followed by regular ISMUBA activities such as murojaah, Quran memorization, Quran writing exercises, and congregational dhuha, dhuhr, ashar, and Friday prayers. The curriculum integrates three key indicators of Islamic character: faith and piety, noble morals, and social responsibility. Internally, the program faces challenges related to differing teacher competencies and student abilities; externally, it must adapt to shifting national education policies, notably the flexibility required by the Kurikulum Merdeka. Applications/Originality/Value: By mapping the full cycle from planning to evaluation, this study provides a replicable model for other primary schools aiming to incorporate faith‑based character development into their curricula. It highlights the importance of systematic evaluation and ongoing teacher training as effective strategies for mitigating competency gaps and policy changes, offering practical insights for educators and administrators seeking to enhance Islamic character education.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine (1) the relevance between learning outcomes and learning activities, (2) the relevance between learning activities and media, and (3) the alignment among objectives, activities, and learning media in the context of early childhood education at RA Bani Adam Boyolali. Methodology: A qualitative content‐analysis design was employed, using RPPH (Daily Learning Implementation Plans) as the primary data source. Researchers extracted and examined documented learning objectives, activities, and media, and supplemented this with interviews. The analytic process involved formulating research questions, selecting and identifying relevant documents for review, and drawing conclusions based on observed patterns of relevance. Results: Out of 57 learning objectives and 53 activities, 49 activities (92.5%) matched their intended objectives, while 4 activities (7.5%) did not. In terms of media support, 46 out of 53 media items (86.7%) were deemed relevant to the corresponding play‐based activities, leaving 7 media items (13.3%) misaligned. Finally, when considering the triadic relationship among objectives, activities, and media, 44 media items (83.0%) supported both the core activities and their objectives, whereas 9 items (17.0%) failed to align across all three dimensions. Applications/Originality/Value: By systematically mapping alignment among objectives, activities, and media, this study provides a replicable framework for early childhood educators to audit and refine their daily learning plans. The high rates of alignment observed underscore the effectiveness of RA Bani Adam’s current practice, while the identified gaps highlight specific areas—such as media selection and activity design—where targeted adjustments and professional development can further enhance teaching quality and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Purpose: This study investigates how environmental education influences students’ behavior in responding to climate change at State Senior High School 1 Gondang. By examining this relationship, the research seeks to demonstrate the strategic role that integrated environmental education can play in fostering adaptive attitudes and actions among adolescents facing increasingly frequent flooding disasters in Indonesia. Methodology: Employing a quantitative design, the study surveyed 289 students selected via stratified random sampling to ensure representation across grade levels. Data collection combined structured questionnaires—measuring both exposure to environmental education and self‐reported climate‐response behaviors—with school documentation on program implementation. Analyses comprised descriptive statistics to categorize variable levels and a Pearson product–moment correlation test to assess the strength and significance of the relationship between environmental education and climate‐responsive behavior. Results: The descriptive analysis placed the environmental education variable in the moderate category (46%) and the climate‐response behavior variable in the sufficient category (34%). The correlation test yielded a significance value of 0.00 (p < 0.05) and a correlation coefficient of 0.527, reflecting a moderately strong positive relationship. These findings confirm that higher levels of environmental education are associated with more proactive student attitudes toward climate change. Applications/Originality/Value: By providing empirical evidence of the positive impact of environmental education on students’ climate‐ responsive behaviors, this study underscores the importance of curriculum designers and school administrators embedding targeted environmental modules into secondary education. The results offer a practical framework for schools seeking to enhance resilience education and inform policymakers on the value of scaling up environmental programs to mitigate the human and economic costs of climate‐induced disasters.

Abstract

Purpose: 1) Describe the process of developing E-LKPD science material on physical properties, chemistry, and its changes based on ethnoscience in red brick making and 2) Describe the level of validity of E-LKPD science material on physical properties, chemistry, and changes based on ethnoscience in making red bricks. Methodology: This type of research is Research and Development with the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation) which is only limited to the development stage. The subjects of this research are one teacher at SDN Krikilan 2 Masaran, media expert validators and material expert validators. The data used in this study are two, namely qualitative data and quantitative data. Data collection techniques were carried out with questionnaires, interviews, validation sheets, and documentation. The data analysis technique used qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. Results: 1) The process of developing science E-LKPD products applies the ADDIE model by going through three stages, namely: analysis, which means analyzing the understanding of ethnoscience, the use of LKPD in elementary schools, print-based LKPD in the form of a needs analysis questionnaire. Design, namely making E-LKPD designs based on the constituent indicators. Development, is the step of making E-LKPD through canva which is then uploaded to the liveworksheets website to be used as an interactive LKPD. Furthermore, E-LKPD is validated by two validators, namely material expert validators and media experts to determine the validity level of the product. 2) The development of liveworksheets-based E-LKPD is feasible for educators to use in the learning process. The level of validity can be obtained through product validation test results. The results of validation on material experts obtained a percentage of 90% with very valid qualifications, media experts obtained a percentage of 87.5% with very valid qualifications. From this explanation, it can be concluded that the E-LKPD product is suitable for use in elementary school student learning activities. Applications/Originality/Value: In using this E-LKPD, it is necessary to prepare tools and materials that must be used by teachers and students.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to describe the role of Supeltas officers (Traffic Control Volunteers) in enhancing road safety in Kartasura District by examining how their activities contribute to reducing accidents and increasing the security of all road users. Methodology: Employing a descriptive qualitative design, the researcher—serving as the key instrument—collected data through snowball sampling to identify knowledgeable participants, direct observations of Supeltas in action, in‐depth interviews with officers and community members, and documentation review. Data analysis followed a systematic process of collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion‐drawing (verification) to ensure a clear focus on how Supeltas operate in the field. Results: Findings reveal that Supeltas significantly improve road safety by actively assisting pedestrians—especially schoolchildren— in crossing roads, thereby minimizing accident risks. Public perception of Supeltas is overwhelmingly positive, with community members appreciating their patience and guidance. However, challenges include reckless behavior by some drivers (notably students) who disregard traffic regulations. Supeltas address these issues through calm regulation and gentle reprimands to encourage compliance. Applications/Originality/Value: This research highlights the practical impact of volunteer‐based traffic control on community safety and underscores the need to support and expand Supeltas initiatives. By integrating Supeltas into extracurricular PKS programs and fostering broader community involvement—particularly among students—local authorities and schools can strengthen traffic safety education, reduce reckless driving, and prevent accidents in Kartasura and similar districts.
