Abstract

In the era of globalization and digital transformation, organizations face increasingly dynamic competition, making human resources (HR) a strategic asset that plays a key role in determining organizational success. Technological advancements in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution have given rise to the concept of the Industrial Internet of Things, which utilizes internet networks as a medium for communication and coordination in carrying out industrial and business activities remotely. Remote working increased significantly following the COVID-19 pandemic, prompting many companies to adopt it as a new working system. The research method employed in this study is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, which aims to identify, evaluate, and synthesize all research evidence relevant to the topic of compensation for remote working. The findings indicate that remote working has significant implications for employee compensation systems. The implementation of remote working drives adjustments to compensation structures both in terms of financial and non-financial components and shifts the basis of compensation assessment from physical presence to performance achievement and productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of influencer marketing, brand characteristics, and online customer reviews on the purchase decision of Implora beauty products in  Shopee e-commerce. The sample in this study amounted to 100 respondents using the non-probability sampling method. The results of the instrument test showed that the data in this study was declared valid and reliable. The results of the classical assumption test state that the research data are distributed normally and produce a regression model that is free of multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity. The results of the study prove that: (1) influencer marketing has a positive and significant effect on the purchase decision of Implora beauty products on  Shopee e-commerce, (2) brand characteristics have a positive and significant effect on the purchase decision of Implora beauty products on  Shopee e-commerce, and (3) online customer reviews does not have a significant effect on the purchase decision of Implora beauty products on  Shopee e-commerce.

Abstract

This study examines the dynamic effects of realized investment and net exports of goods and services on economic growth through Gross Fixed Capital Formation (GFCF/PMTB) in South Kalimantan Province. A quantitative approach is employed using annual secondary time-series data for the period 2013–2024 obtained from official publications of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and relevant institutions. The analysis applies path analysis based on Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression with Newey–West (HAC) standard errors to test both direct and indirect (mediating) relationships, with indirect effects assessed using the Sobel test. The results indicate that realized investment has no significant direct effect on economic growth, while it exerts a positive and significant effect on GFCF. Net exports show no significant effect on either economic growth or GFCF. Furthermore, GFCF does not significantly affect economic growth, implying that GFCF does not mediate the relationships between realized investment and net exports and economic growth. The adjusted R² values suggest that the model has strong explanatory power for GFCF but weak explanatory power for economic growth, indicating that economic growth is largely driven by factors outside the proposed model. Overall, the findings confirm that increased investment has contributed to capital accumulation, yet this accumulation has not been optimally translated into sustained regional output growth.

Abstract

This study is designed to unravel the dynamics of the relationship between Foreign Investment (FDI) and the expansion of economic output in the Southeast Asian region, by placing the Corruption Perception Index (CPI) as a conditioning factor. Through a quantitative approach, this research utilizes secondary data for the period 2014–2024 from ten ASEAN member countries sourced from the World Bank and Transparency International. Econometric estimation was carried out using the Random Effect Model (REM) and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) panel data regression methods through EViews software. The results of empirical analysis prove that FDI flows consistently provide positive and significant stimulation in encouraging an increase in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the ASEAN region. However, testing the interaction effect showed that the CPI did not have the statistical power to act as a moderation variable, either in strengthening or weakening the elasticity of capital to the macro output. This phenomenon indicates that investment decisions and foreign capital productivity in ASEAN are more dictated by pragmatism, regional comparative advantage, and the presence of special economic zones that are protected by regulations, rather than influenced by fluctuations in the quality of public institutional governance at the national level. The contribution of this study lies in the remapping of regional investment governance, which suggests the importance of strengthening strategic economic zoning in order to maintain investment attractiveness amid local institutional challenges

Abstract

West Java recorded the highest unemployment rate nationally at 6.75 percent in 2024, despite being an industrial center. This study aims to analyze the influence of economic growth, investment, and minimum wage on the Open Unemployment Rate (UR) in 27 districts/cities of West Java Province for the 2021-2024 period. The study uses a quantitative approach with a static panel data regression method. The selection of models through the Chow Test and the Hausman Test resulted in the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) as the best model. The data is sourced from the Central Statistics Agency of West Java and the Investment Coordinating Board. The estimated results show that economic growth has a positive and significant effect on UR, Investment has a positive and significant effect on UR. On the other hand, the minimum wage has a negative and significant effect on UR. The value of the Adjested R-squared is 00.879436. This study recommends an inclusive growth policy based on labor-intensive sectors, investment selection oriented to the absorption of local labor, and the determination of a competitive minimum wage based on the need for a decent life.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the determinants of aging population with GDP growth as a control variable in the East Asian region, covering China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, and Mongolia, with the exclusion of North Korea due to data availability limitations. The study uses secondary data in the form of panel data for the period 2005-2024 sourced from the World Bank and processed using the E-Views application. The results show that fertility rate has a negative and significant effect on aging population, while life expectancy and female labor force participation rate (FLFP) each have a positive and significant effect on aging population in the East Asian region during the 2005-2024 period. Meanwhile, GDP growth as a control variable shows no significant effect, indicating that population aging is more influenced by long-term structural demographic factors than by short-term economic dynamics
