Abstract

This research was motivated by the confusion of students looking for title references for students' final assignments due to several obstacles, one of which was the lack of information about titles that had been done on their campus. The thesis catalog used in the library of the South Tapanuli Education Institute (IPTS) still uses printed media in one document in each department so that students have to take turns reading the catalog or students can directly look for theses one by one in the thesis cabinet or shelf and the current system is not yet running. using a database so as to allow the loss of the alumni thesis title data recap. So this is the background for the author to design a Thesis Catalog System by implementing a brute force algorithm in the process of searching for the title of the thesis. This thesis catalog system is a system that aims to facilitate the performance of library staff in inputting data, especially making it easier for students to find title references. The method that the author uses in this research is the development of R&D with the ADDIE model. In addition, the author also uses the SDLC development model while the model that the author uses in this study is the Waterfall model. The programming language used is the PHP language assisted by the MySQL database. Based on the results of the research that the author did, based on the validity test of 3 experts obtained a value of 0.80 Valid criteria, for the practicality test of 2 practitioners obtained a value of 0.889 very practical criteria and the effectiveness test of 10 students obtained a value of 0.871 very effective criteria, so that the value obtained proves that the thesis catalog system can help and is ready to use.

Abstract

Sociometry is something that can be used in studying the structure of social relations among a group of individuals on the basis of research on social relations and social status of each member of the group concerned. Currently the service of sociometric instruments in the guidance and counseling laboratory of the Bukittinggi State Islamic Institute is still using conventional techniques using Ms.Excel. It is done manually using the distribution of questionnaires, Ms.Excel, which is still combined with Ms.Acces, which is not online yet , so that it can only be distributed in labor, and the next problem is that the application that uses Ms.Excel cannot yet display sociometric reports graphically. The research method that the author uses is the R&D Research & Development method with a waterfall SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) system development model consisting of the Communication.Planning.Modeling stages. Construction.Deployment. For the product test that the author did, the results obtained: the validity test by the validator obtained a value of 0.85 with valid criteria, the practicality test by the practitioner obtained a value of 0.83 with the Very Practical criteria, and the effectiveness test by the effectivator obtained a value of 0.75 with the Very Effective criteria.

Abstract

ABSTRACTAn electronic teacher is an alternative form that teachers and students can use to conduct online learning. The focus of this research is to build a valid, practical, and effective research product in the form of an e-teacher application that can be used to digitize learning in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in SMKN 1 Ampek Angkek. This research uses research and development (RnD) methods. System development in this research refers to the waterfall model with five stages: requirements definition, system and software design, implementation and unit testing, integration and system testing, operation and maintenance. Furthermore, the product is tested with three types of product testing: validity, practicability, and effectiveness. The research results from the design of an e-teacher application to assist teachers and students in the learning process in the form of a website where teachers can add learning materials, learning tools, and exam questions. Students can also use the internet to access learning materials and take tests. The results of the validity test on 5 experts were 0.79, which was declared valid; the practicality test on 4 practitioners was 93, which was declared very practical; and the effectiveness test on 8 students was 0.79, which was declared effective. Based on the product test results, it is possible to conclude that the product of this research is worth to use in the learning process by teachers and students.Tujuan perancangan aplikasi e-guru ini adalah untuk membantu guru dan siswa dalam melakukan proses pembelajaran apabila tidak bertatap muka langsuang agar pembelajaran dapat berjalan sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Reseacrh and Development) versi ADDIE (Analyze-Design-Develop- Impelentation-Evaluation). Model pengembangan sistem yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan sistem Waterfall dengan lima tahap, yaitu Definisi persyaratan, Perancangan sistem dan perangkat lunak, Implentasi dan pengujian unit, Integrasi dan pengujian sistem, Operasi dan pemeliharaan. Uji produk yang digunakan adalah Uji Validitas, Uji Praktikalitas, dan Uji Efektifitas. Hasil penelitian dari perancangan aplikasi e-guru untuk membantu guru dan siswa dalam melakukan proses pembelajaran yang berupa website yang mana guru dapat menambahkan materi pembelajaran, perangkat pembelajaran dan soal-soal pembelajaran. Sedangkan siswa dapat mengakses materi pembelajaran dan mengerjakan soal-soal secara online. Sedangkan, uji validitas yang terdiri dari 5 orang ahli diperoleh nilai0,79 dinyatakan valid (berdasarkan perhitungan validitas dengan formula aiken’s), uji praktikalitas yang terdiri dari 4 orang praktisi di peroleh nilai 93 yang dinyatakan sangat praktis dan untuk uji efektifitas yang terdiri dari 8 orang siswa di peroleh nilai 0,79 yang dinyatakan efektif.

Abstract

The current online learning process requires virtual face-to-face media to interact between lecturers and students. However, currently available media requires lecturers to pay a fee to communicate indefinitely. Therefore, we need a media that can facilitate lecturers to do learning easily. This study aims to integrate jitsi with matrix conferences as a real-time online communication medium in learning. This type of research is development research (R&D) with the waterfall method. The steps taken are analysis, design, coding and testing. The analysis is carried out on the system development needs, then the design stage of the Jitsi architecture with a matrix, then coding using PHP and testing through QoS. QoS testing has very good throughput results, poor packet loss, very good delay, and excellent jitter for small-scale applications. It shows that picking video conferencing can be used as a medium of communication in online learning.

Abstract

WHO in 2013 released data in the Global Tuberculosis Report that 8.6 million more people were positive for TB, and 15.12% of them died. One of the causes of death due to tuberculosis is too late to know when it is infected and too late to get treatment. For an initial diagnosis of whether someone has TB, they can immediately go to a hospital or use a computer application that has an expert's ability. This study aims to design an expert system for the early diagnosis of intestinal tuberculosis using the Forward Chaining method. Expert System is one part of Artificial Intelligence that can create a computer program to provide decisions and analysis like an expert or expert in a particular field. The research method used in this study is the Research and Development method with the ADDIE approach. The expert system for early diagnosis of intestinal tuberculosis is designed by making a decision tree diagram to find out the rules needed to diagnose whether a person has intestinal tuberculosis from the symptoms experienced. The formulation of the problem or the rules needed for the initial diagnosis of intestinal tuberculosis in this study was built using the Forward Chaining method. The output of this research is an Expert System in the form of a Stand-Alone application that is built with the Visual Basic Programming Language, which can provide diagnostic results whether a person suffers from intestinal tuberculosis from the symptoms entered into the Expert System Interface.

Abstract

The background of this research is that there is no alumni data collection information system at the Informatics and Computer Engineering Education Department (PTIK) IAIN Bukittinggi. Because the PTIK department already has a large number of alumni, a system that can serve as a forum for alumni data is required. The method used is Research and Development (R&D). R&D is a research method used to manufacture a specific product and test its effectiveness. The development model used is ADDIE, which stands for analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate. The waterfall model is used in the system development model. The findings of this study include the development of an information system for collecting alumni data. The product is available for use by the head of PTIK department and the alumni. To demonstrate the system's effectiveness, three validators were obtained with a total value of 0.76 and were declared valid, while three examiners obtained a total value of 86.7 and were declared very practical. The effectiveness test on 5 graduates yielded a total score of 0.88 using very effective criteria.

Abstract

Computer technology is currently used as a tool to support educational activities and assist teachers in quickly, precisely, and accurately processing student data. The Qur'an has been memorized by many students at MAN 1 Bukittinggi as a result of long-running Tahfidz activities, which have also helped them stand out in teaching and learning evaluation meetings held at the end of each semester. In conveying the activities which take place in the field, the Tahfidz teacher has not used real data and certainly will not describe the real state of Tahfidz activity and student memorization. The solution to this problem is applying the Data Mining technique for grouping data of Tahfidz activity and student learning outcomes, in order to discover the correlation between the two and whether there is any effect or not. The data processed in this research is Tahfidz activity data and student learning outcomes data for class XI (eleven) sourced from piles of data, the data used are Tahfidz memorization data, Tahfidz scores, and student grades at MAN 1 Bukittinggi. The data mining development methodology used in this research is Cross-Industry Standart Process for Data Mining (CRIPS-DM). The results of the research by applying the K-Means Clustering algorithm has produced two clusters. The first cluster shows the characteristic that Tahfidz activity doesn’t have significant effect on student learning outcomes. The second cluster shows the characteristics that Tahfidz activity has a significant effect on student learning outcomes.  The data from the clustering of each cluster is then analyzed and the results of the cluster analysis are used by the school as a consideration in evaluating Tahfidz activity and learning outcomes whether it has been effective or not at MAN 1 Bukittinggi.

Abstract

PT. Rezeki Surya Intimakmur is a company engaged in home and building maintenance. Currently PT. Rezeki Surya Intimakmur is currently under a work contract with PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia (PT. CPI) in terms of clean water maintenance activities in the company environment and the housing for employees of PT. CPI. In managing clean water maintenance data every day, the company uses a manual method by recording, which is filling out a work assignment form. This method results in the management of clean water maintenance work being hampered because data on workers and work results are often inconsistent with the actual situation—applications designed using research and product development methods with the waterfall model. The application design process uses Visual Basic.Net programming language and MySQL database. The resulting can make it easier for admin staff to manage clean water maintenance activities to produce maintenance reports.

Abstract

The role of RT/RW administrators is not only as administrative public servants but also as a servant to the interests of the wider community. Therefore, their role needs to be optimized so that the aspirations of the citizens can be accommodated. However, the large area and dense population often make RT/RW administrators constrained in accelerating access to services and increasing the effectiveness of their activities. The role of information technology is very important, considering that the use of technology has been proven to be successful in improving public services. The utilization of an existing information system is not necessarily in accordance with the needs and related regional policies. In this study, the development of a system adapted to the needs and regional policies, especially in Sekeloa Village, Coblong District, Bandung City was carried out. An RT/RW Portal application was produced which has five main features, namely reporting events, invitations to activities, voting, transparency of funds, and printing reports. This application development method uses the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) method with stages of data requirements analysis, software design and design, application development (programming) and application testing before being implemented in RT-RW. The results obtained are in the form of an RW portal application that can assist the function and role of the RT/RW both in administrative management, as well as the dissemination of information in the form of news on activities surrounding the RT/RW. The conclusion is that the API of this application can be developed to build mobile.

Abstract

This study aims to design a Web-Based Online Registration Information System Supported by SMS (Short Message Service) Gateway at Alhira Middle School that is valid, practical, and effective. The process of registering new students, which has been taking place at Alhira Junior High School, has not yet run online; this can be seen from the data process, report generation that still uses Ms. Office Word, and use paper archives. It makes data security not guaranteed, allowing much data to be lost. On the other hand, for prospective registrants who want to know information related to schools, it is still difficult to do, because it requires prospective registrants to come or visit the hut directly. Another problem is that more prospective new students come from outside the Tanah Datar area, of course, it requires a lot of costs, especially transportation. This problem is the background of this research. The type of research used is Research and Development, with the 4-D model stands for Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. While the system development model used adopts the SDLC cycle (System Development Life Cycle, namely the waterfall model. The results of this study are a new student registration information system that has been tested for products including validity, practicality and effectiveness tests. The results of the validity test were carried out on three people; the validator obtained a total score of 0.88 with very valid criteria, the practicality test was carried out on three validators obtaining a total value of 93.33 with very practical criteria, and the effective value for ten respondents obtained a total result of 0.79 with very effective criteria. After testing the product, this information system can be declared feasible and can be used in the process of accepting new students at Alhira Middle School.
