Abstract

Village-level construction project management in Indonesia faces significant challenges in applying construction service regulations mandated by Undang-Undang Nomor 2 Tahun 2017. This community service program addressed this gap by strengthening the capacity of village officials in Mojokerto Regency to understand and implement business compliance, management compliance, and construction service implementation standards. The program employed an integrated methodology combining training sessions, interactive workshops, practical simulations, and field assistance, engaging eighty-eight officials from villages across the regency. Pre-test assessments revealed limited baseline knowledge, with participants averaging 42.4% comprehension of regulatory requirements. Following the intervention, post-test results demonstrated substantial improvement to 86.2%, with the most significant gains observed in business compliance (38.2% to 84.5%). Participants successfully identified administrative and technical requirements in procurement processes and recognized the critical importance of systematic construction work monitoring. Field assistance in selected villages yielded tangible improvements in documentation practices and oversight functions. This initiative contributes meaningfully to enhanced governance practices, reduced financial irregularities, and accountable, high-quality village infrastructure development aligned with decentralization objective

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has created new opportunities for improving literature learning through interactive and accessible digital platforms. However, students' literary literacy and appreciation remain relatively low due to the limited availability of contextual digital learning resources that integrate multicultural values and local wisdom. This community service program aimed to optimize a digital literature platform through the implementation of a website-based multicultural ethnoliteracy e-module for students at SMP Negeri 1 Puri Mojokerto. The program employed a participatory approach consisting of five stages: needs assessment, socialization, training, implementation of the e-module, and mentoring and evaluation. The developed e-module integrated multicultural literary texts, ethnoliteracy content, multimedia resources, interactive quizzes, discussion forums, and reflective activities within a web-based learning environment. The results demonstrated that the implementation of the e-module increased students’ engagement, motivation, digital literacy, and literary appreciation. Students became more active in reading, discussing, and interpreting literary works while developing greater awareness of cultural diversity, tolerance, and local wisdom values. Teachers also improved their competence in utilizing digital technology for literature instruction. Furthermore, the digital literature platform provided a sustainable learning ecosystem that supports independent learning and continuous access to multicultural literary resources. The findings indicate that the integration of website-based learning technology and multicultural ethnoliteracy effectively enhances literary literacy and appreciation while promoting the productive use of digital technology in secondary education.

Abstract

This community engagement program was implemented by Hajar Nurma Wachidah of Universitas Islam Majapahit (UNIM) to foster self-development among newly enrolled students (santri) participating in the New Student Orientation Period (Masa Ta'aruf Santri Baru/MASTAMA) at Pondok Pesantren Darul Quran, an Islamic boarding school in Kota Mojokerto whose vision is to cultivate noble santri character (akhlaqul karimah) through an integrated tahfizh Qur'an and formal-education system, during the 2026/2027 academic year. First, background. The transition from a home environment to a boarding-school setting often triggers adjustment difficulties, homesickness, and diminished self-confidence among new santri, whereas previous studies indicate that structured orientation activities and guidance services can accelerate psychosocial adaptation and independence. Second, methods. The program engaged 96 new santri through five structured MASTAMA modules, self-recognition and motivation, time-management and discipline, leadership and public speaking, peer mentoring, and spiritual strengthening, implemented over fourteen days using a participatory action approach, structured observation, in-depth interviews, and pre-test/post-test self-assessment instruments. Third, results and discussion. Participants exhibited measurable improvement across five self-development indicators independence, self-confidence, discipline, social skills, and learning motivation, corroborating self-efficacy theory (Bandura, 1977) and student-involvement theory (Astin, 1984). Fourth, conclusion. MASTAMA constitutes an effective vehicle for cultivating santri self-development and is recommended for continuous refinement through structured indicators and sustained mentoring beyond the orientation period

Abstract

The Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS), implemented through the Establishment, Implementation, Evaluation, Control, and Improvement (PPEPP) cycle, is a mandatory requirement for study programs seeking accreditation from the Independent Accreditation Agency for Informatics and Computer Science (LAM INFOKOM). Conventional management of Internal Quality Audit (AMI) documents and Self-Evaluation Reports (LED) often hinders accreditation preparation due to fragmented, inconsistently archived documentation. This community service activity assisted the Quality Assurance Unit at Universitas Islam Majapahit (UNIM) in developing an integrated quality management information system using Native PHP and Tailwind CSS through a vibe coding approach, in which developers with existing web development competence directed an AI programming assistant to generate source code and interface components. The system was completed as a functional prototype within one month, faster than typical conventional development. Following Focus Group Discussion sessions and hands-on mentoring, self-assessed readiness among five participating Quality Assurance Unit members improved across all evaluated aspects. These findings suggest that AI-assisted development, guided by developers with relevant technical competence, offers a practical and time-efficient pathway for institutions with limited programming resources to build internal quality assurance systems aligned with LAM INFOKOM standards.

Abstract

The circulation of hoaxes and hate speech in Indonesia has shifted from fabricated factual claims towards affectively framed content that fact-checking alone cannot intercept. Existing community engagement programmes on digital literacy predominantly train verification procedures, leaving participants unable to detect provocative intent in texts that contain no verifiable proposition. This programme addressed that gap by training members of a youth organisation to recognise the linguistic markers through which provocative texts operate, using a stylistic analytical framework. The programme was delivered in a hybrid mode across five stages: asynchronous online initial assessment, two days of face-to-face core training, two synchronous online deepening sessions with a guest lecture on critical discourse analysis, three to four weeks of asynchronous mentoring in counter-narrative production, and a face-to-face showcase and evaluation. Participants were 20 members of Karang Taruna Tunas Muda Klaigit. Data were collected through a pre-test and post-test comprising ten texts, participant worksheets, and the counter-narrative products, then analysed using the normalised gain formula, the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, and qualitative description. The mean score rose from 21.00 to 40.85 on a 100-point scale. Every participant improved, and the increase was statistically significant (W = 0; z = -3.920; p < 0.001) with a large effect size (r = 0.877). The normalised gain of 0.251 nevertheless falls in the low category, indicating that participants improved consistently but remained far from mastery. Disaggregation by aspect reveals an instructive pattern: classifying a text as provocative gained most (g = 0.392), explaining its persuasive function followed (g = 0.274), while naming the linguistic marker itself gained least (g = 0.176). Participants therefore acquired sharpened intuition more readily than analytical vocabulary. The programme demonstrates that stylistic competence, conventionally confined to literary analysis, can be reformulated as an accessible early-detection instrument for lay citizens, but that a single training cycle is insufficient for the analytical layer. Sustained impact requires the cadre scheme, continued online mentoring, and denser repeated practice on each marker.

Abstract

The development of information technology has shifted the pattern of tourism destination promotion from conventional methods to digital-based marketing. Tourist villages in Mojokerto City possess cultural, culinary, and craft potential that can be developed as tourist attractions, but the use of digital media as a promotional tool is still not optimal. This community service activity aims to improve the ability of tourist village managers to utilize digital marketing as an effective and sustainable promotional medium. The implementation method includes observation, coordination with partners, material development, training, digital content creation practice, and evaluation. The training was attended by tourist village managers. The results showed an increase in participants' understanding of digital marketing concepts, the use of social media for tourism promotion, simple photography and videography techniques, and the creation of engaging promotional content. Participants were also able to create promotional social media accounts and create simple content calendars. This activity has had a positive impact on increasing community capacity in promoting local tourism potential, which is expected to increase tourist visits and support community economic growth.
