Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of courses for prospective brides as an effort to improve knowledge of married life in Indonesia. This research uses a literature review method with content analysis techniques of the laws of the government of the Republic of Indonesia, regulations of the Ministry of Religion, and is supported by the opinions of experts in books and journals. The result of this research is that the prospective bride course (Suscatin) is an education for prospective brides that must be followed and carried out by the Marriage Advisory, Development and Preservation Agency (BP4) which is under the auspices of the religious affairs office (KUA) as a representative office of the district or city ministry of religion office throughout Indonesia. The course aims to provide knowledge about the concept of a harmonious family based on Islamic teachings known as Sakinah, Mawaddah Warahmah, and to prevent the occurrence of divorce that often occurs among brides these days. All needs regarding the implementation of the course are covered by funds from both central and regional governments. Implementation guidelines include syllabus, materials, learning models, lesson hours, resource persons, graduation certificates and others are regulated in the Regulation of the Director General of Islamic Public Guidance Number: DJ.II/542 of 2013 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Pre-Marriage Courses Article 1 and Article 2.

Abstract

The puropose of this research were to: 1) investigated the students’ competence in Reading comprehension at pharmacy department, 2) to find out the students’ problems in answer to reading questions. In this research used descriptive quantitative. The research used thirty students at Pharmacy Department at English Course. The data thorugh test. The results of this research show that their competence in reading comprehension was excellent (64%). Most of the students still problems to reading comprehension its show that many students are in fair level or 10 %and very poor level or 12%, its means that still students are less competence to comprehension of reading its cause the students are not understanding means of the questions, lazy for reading which make the students are over answers to avoid the mistake it’s show on results and analysis above. So, it can be conclude that the students at Pharmacy Department Universitas have competence in reading comprehension and the researcher still found that the some of the students are problem to comprehension of reading.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze pronouns used in a story with title “Cinderella” by Disney. Researchers chose descriptive qualitative method to analyze the data in order to show pronouns that appeared in the story of Cinderella. There were several steps that researchers conducted to collect data, including read the story, then identified the pronouns, and finally analyzed each pronoun from the story descriptively. This research found that there were 15 pronouns used in the story of Cinderella with six types of pronoun. These pronouns include 5 personal pronouns as subject (They, She, It, He, and I), 2 personal pronouns as object (her and them), 3 possessive adjectives (her, his, and their), 2 relative pronouns (whose and who), 2 demonstrative pronouns (this and that), and 1 indefinite pronoun (everyone). In addition, the pronoun that appeared the most was “her” as much as 22.92%, and conversely, pronoun that appeared the least were “their, this, whose, I, everyone, and who”, which each of them only appeared 1 time in the story (2.08% for each pronoun).

Abstract

This research is motivated by students' ability to write novel reviews which is still at a low level. From the results of the observation, it is known that the students' results in writing novel reviews have scores below the predetermined passing standards. Then, from the results of the discussion involving various parties, the researcher decided to take a class action research with the title "Improving the Ability to Write Novel Reviews Using the Reading Guide Method in Class XI MIPA 6 SMA Negeri 1 Nglames, Madiun Regency, Academic Year 2022/2023". The method chosen in carrying out this research is a reading guide. This method is a method that involves students being active in compiling a review text. The reading guide method is a method by determining the reading material and then the teacher arranges questions that will be answered by students. The teacher gives several questions that function to obtain the desired results. This research involved 36 students in class XI MIPA 6 at SMA Negeri 1 Nglames. This research uses qualitative descriptive data processing. The discussion is explained and described based on research results and data that has been obtained. Using this method is expected to be a step for students to be able to easily compile reviews.

Abstract

This study aims to solve problems regarding students' low writing skills. Through the Project Based Learning learning model, it is hoped that it will be able to improve students' writing skills, especially in the Indonesian subject of review text material. This research is included in the type of Class Action Research (CAR) using the model from Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The subjects of this study were 35 students of class XI MIPA 3 of SMA Negeri 6 Madiun. The approach in this study uses a qualitative description. Meanwhile, data collection techniques were carried out using test and non-test instruments in the form of observation sheets. Analysis of the data for each cycle showed that in cycle 1 student completeness only reached 11.42% (not yet achieved) then in cycle 2 it increased to 85.71% (has been achieved). In addition, the non-test results showed that the effectiveness of using the Project Based Learning learning model in cycle 1 was 27.5% (poor) and increased in cycle 2 to 90% (very good).

Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain the effect of the Canva-assisted problem-based learning model for education to improve the review writing skills of class XI A4 students of SMA N 3 Taruna Angkasa Madiun-East Java-Indonesia. The method used in this research is a class action research method which consists of 4 components, namely: (1) planning, (2) acting, (3) observing, and (4) ) Reflection (Reflecting). Data collection techniques are carried out utilizing observation, testing, and documentation. While the data analysis technique used is qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Qualitative data analysis pays attention to data selection (data reduction), describes data, and concludes. Furthermore, quantitative data, namely in the form of numbers, which includes student test scores, percentages, and scores, was then analyzed descriptively. The results of this study are: 1) The Problem-Based Learning model assisted by Canva for Education is very effective in improving the ability to write reviews of class XI A4 students of SMA N 3 Taruna Angkasa Madiun. 2) The results of using the Canva-assisted Problem Based Learning learning model for Education show significant results. After taking action the percentage of completeness of students which initially was only 33.33% or only 10 students who completed during the pre-cycle, increased in cycle I with a percentage of 50% or as many as 15 students completed, and increased again in cycle II with a percentage of 83.16%. or as many as 24 students complete. This indicates a significant increase from previously only 10 students who completed it to 24 students who completed it.
