Abstract

The Critical thinking is important in education because it encourages students to gain an understanding of more complex information. High critical thinking skills will lead students to find and conclude their understanding. The prolonged COVID-19 pandemic has made global changes in the implementation of learning. Until now, the learning process is still directed at the online learning model with the help of various Learning Management System (LMS) platforms. Conditions like this have implications for the decline in students' critical thinking skills in various aspects, such as inference, interpretation, explanation, analysis, evaluation, and self-regulation. This study aims at proposing an alternative learning approach, namely the enhanced-open learning model which is used to empower and improve students' critical thinking skills. This learning model was developed using the Research and Development (R&D) method and implemented with an adaptive hypermedia learning application media designed with the Luther development model. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling on 98 students of informatics education in Surakarta City. The data were analyzed with the prerequisites for normality and homogeneity of the data before the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Mann Whitney U test was carried out to determine the effectiveness of the model. The results of the increase in the gain score obtained from the experiment are in the aspect of interpretation of 93.18%, inference 76.74%, explanation 96.33%, analysis 97, 87%, evaluation 63.01%, and self-regulation 98.13%. Based on the experiments conducted, it is proven that the adaptive open learning approach has a very significant impact on improving students' critical thinking aspects so that it can be concluded that the model is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the literacy habituation program on reading interest of fourth grade students at SD Negeri Kalisari, Mertoyudan District, Magelang Regency. This study uses the type of Pre-Experimental Design with the One Group Pretest Posttest Design model. The research subjects were selected using the Nonprobability Sampling saturated sampling model. The samples taken were 30 students. by using the data collection method in the form of observation tests. Data analysis used parametric statistical techniques, namely the Paired Sample t Test. The results showed that the results of the analysis of the paired sample t test had a significance value of 0.00 <0.05, meaning that there was a significant difference between the results of the pretest and posttest using the literacy habituation program. The results of this study can be concluded that the literacy habituation program affects the reading interest of fourth grade students at Kalisari Elementary School, Mertoyudan District.

The purpose of this training is to teach emergency first aid for cardiac arrest and fractures. Respondents who participated in the service were 25 people. The results of the pre test found that respondents with a moderate level of knowledge were 24%, while respondents who had a low level of knowledge were 76%. The results of the post test show a change where respondents who have a high level of knowledge are 36%, and respondents with a moderate level of knowledge are 64%. From the results of this training, the community has more confidence and more confidence in handling emergencies that occur.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the jigsaw model with the aid sandpaper letters to improve Latin writing skills for class I SD Negeri Danupayan, Distric Temanggung. This research is a type of classroom action research (CAR) with a jigsaw model. Research subject were selected non-randomly. The samples taken were 22 and 11 boys. Methods of data colletion is done by using observation and tests. Test the validity with expert judgement. Analysis og the data using a quantitative formula for the average value of Tulus Winarsunu. The result showed that there was an increase in the percentage og student Latin writing results, in the pre-cycle only 9,5%, while after doing the first cycle the percentage of latin writing result increased from 9,5% to 74,5% and for the increase in the second cycle was 81,2%. This is reinforced by the existence of a jigsaw model assisted by using media can improve student behavior or effectiveness to be more enthusiastic and active so that communication between studentsd is good and makes students have the character of a sense of responsibility, discipline, hard work, coopartion and respect for the opinons of friends. Based on these data, it can be concluded thet there was a significant increase in students Latin writing in the good category.

Abstract

In mountainous areas, such as in the Pakis sub-district, there are still many students who drop out of junior high school or only elementary school graduates, some even decide to drop out in the middle of the school process. It is a lack of understanding, benefits and goals of learning/schooling for them, a lack of understanding from students and parents regarding their career planning. This study aims to test group guidance services with Modeling and Mind mapping techniques to improve student career planning in one of the junior high schools in the Pakis area. This study uses a quantitative research method of true experiment type, the research design is Pretest-Posttest Comparison Group Design with two treatments. The population in this study were students of class IX-B SMP Negeri 3 Pakis with a sample of 10 people and divided into group 1 (Modelling) and group 2 (Mind Mapping). Collecting data using a questionnaire method with random sampling technique. Data analysis using parametric statistics, namely the Anova Test (Analysis of Variance) with the help of SPSS for windows version 25.0. The results of this study indicate that group guidance services with Modeling techniques and Mind Mapping techniques are effective in improving students' career planning. And the Modeling Technique is more effective in improving students' career planning compared to the Mind Mapping technique. This is evidenced by the difference in the average of the experimental group 1 with a score of 36.6 and the experimental group 2 with a score of 33.6, with an average comparison of 3% and the results of the ANOVA test analysis show a significance of 0.005 < 0.05, the probability results show less than 0.05 then the hypothesis Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. The results of the study can be concluded that group guidance services with modeling techniques are more influential in improving students' career planning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low number of students at POS PAUD TPQ Jami'atul Imam in recognizing early mathematical concepts. This study aims to identify early childhood mathematical concepts through playing at home for the 4-5 year age group (TK A group) at POS PAUD TPQ Jami'atul Imam Academic Year 2021/2022. The method used in this research is classroom action research (CAR) with Kurt Lewin's model. This research consists of pre cycle, cycle I, cycle II. Cycles I and II consist of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, reflection. This data collection technique is in the form of video documentation. The results of this study are as follows: 1) Based on the results of data analysis and elaboration of the discussion about classroom action research, it can be concluded as follows: 1) Children are familiar with mathematical concepts from the start. 2) Children are brave and enthusiastic in carrying out the activities presented. 3) Children learn mathematics naturally by playing.
