This study aims at describing the translation technique applied by the translators in the translation text of the state address of the President of the Republic of Indonesia. This study belongs to a qualitatif descriptive research. The research strategy applied in this study is an embedded case study. The data include words, phrases and sentences in the translation of the state address of the President of the Republic of Indonesia in 2006 which are written in Bahasa Indonesia and English (317 data), the translation expertsâ statement about the accuracy and the English Native Speakersâ statement related to the acceptability and readibility. The data sources are informants and documents. Informants are the translators of the state address of the President of the Republic of Indonesia in 2006, key informants or translation experts and the English Native Speakers selected with purposive sampling technique. The documents refer to the state address of the President of the Republic of Indonesia in 2006 and its translation and all the statements taken from both translation experts and the English native speakers. The techniques for data collecting are questionnaire, in-depth interview and content analysis. The data validity is source and method triangulation. The collected data are analysed with interactive analysis model. The results of the research show that first, there are 11 techniques of translation applied by the translator. They are amplification technique 64 data (9,37%), pure borrowing technique 63 data (9,22%), natural borrowing technique 43 data (6,30 %) calque technique 67 data (9,81%), description technique 11 data (1,61%), generalization technique 56 data (8,20%), literal technique 263 data (38,51%), modulation technique 35 data (5,12%), reduction technique 4 data (0,59%), transposition technique 58 data (8,49%), and addition technique 19 data (1,61%). Second, The technique of translation applied by the translators is dominated by literal translation.

The Aim of community service are; 1)Training of primary school teachers of Social Sciences, Natural Sciences based integrated thematic curriculum in 2013 with a scientific approach, 2) To improve the professional skills of primary school teachers of Social Sciences, Natural Sciences based integrated thematic curriculum in 2013 with a scientific approach, 3) To produce the guidance system of the teachers of Social Sciences, Natural Sciences based integrated thematic curriculum, 2013 in Muhammadiyah schools Kartasura. This is the approach of community service workshops, training and mentoring learning of Social Sciences, Natural Sciences based integrated thematic curriculum, 2013. The participants of Master of Social Sciences, Natural Sciences in SD Muhammadiyah Kartasura, His place in the School of Muhammadiyah Kartasura. The result of this devotion implementation; 1) Training of primary school teachers of Social Sciences, Natural Sciences based integrated thematic curriculum in 2013 with a scientific approach, using techniques to observe, to question, to reason, to try and form a network, and implemented with the collaboration system, using the three steps of the learning; introductory, core and cover. 2) To improve the professional skills of primary school teachers of Social Sciences, Natural Sciences based integrated thematic curriculum in 2013 with a scientific approach, using cooperative learning model learning with instructionalstrategies PBL (Problem Based Learning), DCL (descovery Learning), Jigsaw. Third this learning strategy, capable of creating a class to become a haven for students, namely; happy atmosphere for learners in the following study. This learning strategies,can improve learning achievement, namely; No increase in the value pretest to posttestvalues, namely: pretest values> 60 = 50%: postes values> 69 = 100%. 3) The resultingmodel of training primary school teachers of Social Sciences, Natural Sciences basedintegrated thematic curriculum in 2013 is a model mentoring based learning lesson study, with three stages (plan-do-see).

Observation and interview with headmasters, teachers and administrative employees results showed that one of main problems faced by SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura and SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Kartasura is the do not have a representative school website. Based on this observation, after making discussion with headmasters, the community services team proposed an implementation of school website and train one of chosen teacher to manage implemented website. The outcomes of the community service activities are involving a school website for SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura and SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Kartasura and scientific publication draft. The contribution of each school is including providing information which will be uploaded to the website, providing fee for domain and hosting cost, and providing facilities for administrator training. The duration of this commuity services is three months. The results of the community services is both SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura dan SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Kartasura are now have representative website for their promotion and administative activities.

THE ROLE OF INTERPRETER IN DEVELOPING INTERNATIONAL TRADING OF RATTAN FURNITURE: A CASE STUDY AT TRANGSAN VILLAGE, GATAK, SUKOHARJO Sutopo, Anam

The purposes of this study are to find the role of interpreter in developing inter- national trading of rattan furniture and the type of interpreting that they applied in doing their task. The data are taken by using an open-questionnaire, in depth inter- viewing, observation and content analysis. The technique of data analysis is Inter- active Analysis. The result shows that interpreting has a great role in developing the international trading, especially for businessmen who do not master English. It will help them increase their selling products. There are also four roles of inter- preter in developing the international trading of rattan furniture at Trangsan, Gatak, Sukoharjo: interpreter as insparator, mediator, explanator and guide. The inter- preter only applies two types of interpreting: sight and consecutive interpreting.Â Key words: Interpreter, International Trading, and Rattan Furniture.

The study of translation concerns with meaning and transferring the messagefrom source language to target language. Translation is also regarded as a science,a skill and an art. This study aims at identifying the role of translation skill fordeveloping the English department studentsâ potency. This study applies a qualitative research. It takes location in Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. Thesources of data are informant, event and document. The collected data are takenfrom an open-questionnaire, in depth interviewing, observation and content analysis. To analyze the collected data, the writer uses an interactive analysis. The resultof the research shows that there are five roles of translation skill for developingEnglish department studentsâ potency. Penelitian ini berytujuan untuk menformulasikan metode penerjemahan yang diterapkan pada terjemahan pidato kenegaraan berdasarkan teori metode penerjemahan Peter Newmark. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian descriptive kualitatif. Penelitian ini menerapkan studi kasus terpancang. Bentuk data berupa kata, frase dan kalimat yang ditemukan pada pidato kenegaraan Presiden Republik Indonesia yang ditulis dalam bahasaÂ Indonesia dan terjemahnnya dalam bahasa Inggris. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah informan dan dokumen. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik angket, wawancara dan simak catat. Data yang terkumpul diolah dengan metode analisis interaktif.Â Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 317 data, terdapat 2 data atau 0,63 % yang menggunakan metode penerjemahan kata demi kata, 112 data atau 35,33 % menggunakan metode penerjemahan harfiah, 27 data atau 08,25 % menggunakan metode penerjemahan setia, 61 data atau 19,24 % menggunakan metode penerjemahan semantik, 15Â data atau 4,73 % menggunakan metode penerjemahan idiomatik, dan 100 data atau 31,55 % menggunakan metode penerjemahan komunikatif. Jadi metode penerjemahan yang diterapkan didominasi oleh metode penerjemahan literal.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis ideologi penerjemahanyang diguanakan oleh penerjemah dalam menerjemahkan naskah pidatoÂ kenegaraan Presiden Republik Indonesia. Obyek peneleitian ini adalah teksterjemahan dari naskah pidato kenegaraan Presiden Republik Indonesia tahun2006. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kalimat-kalimat bahasa Indonesia yangada di naskah pidato kenegaraan Presiden Republik Indonesiatahun 2006 danterjemahannya, jawaban dalam angket and hasil wawancara mendalam. Sumberdata dalam penelitian ini adalah dokumen dan informan. Teknik pengambilan datadilakukan dengan cara memberikan angket, analisis dokumen dan wawancara.Penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi metode dan triangulasi sumber. Data yangterkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitianÂ menunjukkan bahwa ideologi penerjemahan yang digunakan oleh penerjemahÂ dalam menerjemahkan naskah pidato kenegaraan Presiden Republik IndonesiaÂ adalah ideologi domestikasi. Hal ini terbukti bahwa dari total data yang dianalisis,Â terdapat 16 % data yang diterjemahkan dengan ideologi pemerasingan(foregnization) dan 84 % data yang diterjemahkan dengan ideologi domestikasi(domestication).Kata Kunci: ideologi, metode, akurasi, terjemahan
