Abstract

This research aims to determine the Academic Achievement and Communication Behavior of Adolescent Free Fire Online Game Users in Hijrah Village, Lape District. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with a research focus on case studies. This case study is a type of research that tries to understand a situation in depth and provide meaning. The type of case study used in this research is a situation analysis case study of a particular event or event. The data collection technique used is through documentation, in-depth interviews with informants to determine the Academic Achievement and Communication Behavior of Teenagers who use the Free Fire Online Game in Hijrah Village, Lape District. These findings provide valuable images and insights for parents, educators and researchers to understand more deeply about academic achievement and communication behavior.

Abstract

The current development of the internet really helps people so that they can communicate easily without having to meet in person or communicate long distances. This is a positive impact for someone who uses internet technology media wisely. Those who initially used the Internet only to access learning information, games and social media, then because of the curiosity of young people, some began to access online gambling games. One of the online slot gambling sites is TOKYO99. The behavior of playing online slot gambling can have a negative impact on the perpetrator and the social environment. The impact that can arise from this gambling behavior is usually called the Phatalogical Gambler. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of advertising on the TOKYO99 site in promoting online slot gambling games to the people of Sumbawa Regency. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach method. Qualitative research methods are qualitative data processing techniques carried out in order to describe or discuss research results using conceptual analysis and theoretical analysis approaches. This thesis also uses the theory of syringes and uses and gratification. The research results show that the TOKYO99 site uses social media as promotional material to encourage people to play online slot gambling. In playing online slot gambling games, the TOKYO99 site offers quite fantastic results, so that people who see this online slot gambling advertising promotion are interested and start playing the game.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools have an important role in Islamic religious education, especially in memorizing the Koran. However, the strategies applied often varies in improving students' memorization results. Therefore, this research aims to find the strategies implemented by the Al-Manar Muhammadiyah Pengasih Putri Islamic boarding school in improving students' memorization. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive research and case studies. Data collection techniques used include interviews, observation and document analysis. The data that has been collected is then analyzed thoroughly to understand the Islamic boarding school's strategy in improving and memorizing the Al-Quran at the Al-Manar Muhammadiyah Pengasih Putri Islamic Boarding School. The results of this research are the strategies used by the Al-Manar Muhammadiyah Pengasih Putri Islamic boarding school in improving students' memorization, namely grouping students according to their memorization ability, giving monthly reminders, making monthly memorization targets, making a suitable takhfidz schedule between pilgrimage and muraja'ah, playing mutal every morning and evening, murajaah, tasmi' and the juz increase exam (UKJ). The results of implementing the strategies above show that the students of the Al-Manar Muhammadiyah Pengasih Putri Islamic Boarding School experienced significant changes where the students' memorization increased.

Abstract

Value socialization is a process by which individuals learn the values, norms, and behaviors accepted in the society in which they live. The family as the child's first environment, plays an important role as a media channel in disseminating the values that exist in society to children this study uses a qualitative approach design conducted with the use of open ended questionnaire that is a questionnaire that can capture varied responses from various participants.Socialization of Indigenous values of Minangkabau culture is a very important process in maintaining and passing down cultural wealth from one generation to the next. Minangkabau people, which is a tribe that inhabits the territory of West Sumatra. As the largest matrilineal tribe in the world, the Minangkabau have a strong Indigenous value system that reflects their close relationship with nature, tradition, and local wisdom. The Minangkabau people pass on cultural heritage through the maternal line, and this socialization process generally occurs in families, communities, and indigenous institutions. Values such as adab, the value of mutual assistance, mutual respect, and active involvement in the lives of large families and communities become the main focus of the family has a central role in the socialization of the Indigenous values of Minangkabau culture. Researchers highlight the importance of the role of parents as value bearers and primary teachers in Minangkabau families, especially mothers. Mothers are not only responsible for educating children in terms of daily habits, but also for passing on cultural heritage through stories and practices that may be of a more traditional nature. Socialization of Indigenous values of Minangkabau culture is not limited to the family sphere, socialization of Indigenous values of Minangkabau culture is not only informational, but also involves direct experience that deepens understanding and appreciation of their cultural wealth.

Abstract

Bukittinggi City, with the land conversion to built-up land continues to increase and the availability of land that does not increase, faces difficulties in utilizing land for settlements along with increasing population growth. The purpose of this study is to analyze the suitability of land for settlements and the carrying capacity of Bukittinggi City's residential land for the next 30 years. The quantitative descriptive research method with data presented through tables and maps, calculations refer to the Ministry of Environment's 2014 carrying capacity guidelines and RP3KP. The results of the study indicate that the area of land suitable for settlements is Suitable (S2) covering 710 ha, less suitable (S3) covering 1,147 ha, and not suitable covering 430 ha. For the carrying capacity of Bukittinggi City settlements, in Guguk Panjang District it is in the deficit class, with a DDPm value of 0.24, while 2 other districts are in the surplus class, with Mandiangin Koto Selayan District valued at 2.42, and Aur Birugo Tigobaleh District of 4.09. And for a period of 30 years, 2032, 2042, and 2052, Mandiangin Koto Selayan sub-district and Aur Birugo Tigobaleh sub district still have a surplus while Guguk Panjang sub-district is still in deficit.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the work-life balance (WLB) strategy of working mothers at the Regional Civil Service Agency of West Sumatra Province, which has a high category of WLB. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The number of participants in this research was 3 people. Data were analyzed using the Miles & Huberman technique. The findings show that there are 11 themes which are strategies used by subjects in achieving WLB, where these 11 themes include sub-themes, namely as follows. Self management which includes the sub-themes of time management, planning management, priority management, household financial management, and commuting management; Task delegation which includes sub-themes involves extended family support, involves partner support, involves co-worker support, and involves community assistance; Parenting adjustments which include the sub-themes of quality time, maternal role enhancement, child spacing strategy, attachment parenting, increasing children's independence, and managing the number of children; Stress management which includes strategies for spiritual remembrance, self care, habituation, externalizing memory, voluntary career plateauing, dyadic coping, and avoiding task accumulation; Communication strategies that include strategies for providing understanding to children, communicating everything to partners, communication with colleagues, effective communication with superiors, and positive social interactions; Utilizing organizational support which includes strategies for utilizing work flexibility, bringing children to work, utilizing organizational facilities; use of digital technology and communications; Have a positive character that includes a sense of responsibility, self-discipline, gratitude; Intrinsic motivation which includes strategies for making children motivated to work; Emotional intelligence which includes impression management strategies, managing emotions; and the final strategy is utilizing educational background.

Abstract

During the election period, political parties compete for legislative seats by attracting the hearts of the public, but not all people are interested in the way political parties approach them. This research will discuss how voter preferences based on regional characteristics and voter characteristics in determining their choices and analyzing the distribution of party votes in Lubuk Minturun Village. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method using statistical analysis techniques, using description analysis techniques with SPSS in the form of crosstabs and frequency tabulations and GIS analysis with ArcGis 10.8 and supported by field survey data. The results of this study are that voters' preferences in determining their choices are dominated by voters of parties with nationalist ideologies and reasons for choice based on performance and assistance provided. The distribution of party votes that dominates in the research area is dominated by the Gerindra, Democrat and PKS parties. The conclusion of this study is that the Lubuk Minturun Village community belongs to the rationalist voter type, this can be seen from the existence of pokir procurement locations in several Community Associations.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of examining the impact of psychological safety on the performance of employees of 3 and 4 star hotels in Padang City. The research method is quantitative with purposive sampling. The sample consisted of 103 employees of 3 and 4 star hotels in Padang City. Data collection using psychological safety and employee performance scales (Individual Work Performance Questionnaire). The results showed a positive influence between psychological safety and employee performance of 7,7% (R = 0.277, R Square = 0.077, p<0.05). The level of psychological safety and employee performance on the subject is in the category of very low tendency. The study found that the higher the psychological safety experienced by the employee, the higher will be the resulting performance. The findings confirmed the importance of improving employee psychological security to improve performance.

Abstract

The data from the 2019 legislative election in Padang City is important and can be used by various groups. This data can serve as material for eval_uating the implementation of the 2019 legislative election in Padang City and as a projection for future elections. However, the data from the 2019 legislative election in Padang City that is circulating is only in file form and only includes the number of votes for each party and candidate within the village and polling station (TPS) areas. This makes it difficult to analyze the vote distribution for each party in areas smaller than a village but larger than a TPS, specifically at the RW level. The type of research used in this study is Research and Development (R&D) with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology using a prototype development model. By utilizing a Content Management System (CMS) in the open-source WordPress application, this research aims to build a dynamic website. The result of the research is a WebGIS that visually presents information, such as an interactive map displaying the results of the political parties' votes. It includes table displays, jpg previews, and pie charts. The WebGIS hasilpemilukpik has five main menus: login, home, map, data, and about. The development of the WebGIS (dev-hasilpemilukpik.pantheonsite.io) has undergone product testing, and respondents overall have responded positively to the functionality and appearance of the WebGIS.

Abstract

The modern retail industry is experiencing rapid development. One of the currently existing and growing segments is the minimarket. This study was conducted in the Padang Barat District with the aims of: (1) Identifying the factors influencing the distribution pattern of minimarkets in Padang Barat District. (2) Determining the distribution pattern of minimarkets in Padang Barat District. This research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The method used is the Average Nearest Neighbour or nearest neighbor analysis to determine the distribution pattern of minimarkets. Meanwhile, the factors influencing the location of minimarkets refer to SNI Regulation No. 03 of 2004 and Padang Mayor Regulation No. 53 of 2021, considering demographic aspects, service coverage, and road networks. The results show that there are 21 minimarkets spread across the Padang Barat District. Demographic factors, service coverage, and road networks influence the distribution of minimarket locations. Regarding demographics, calculations suggest the possibility of adding 153 minimarkets, service coverage calculations suggest the possibility of adding 4 minimarkets, and 15 minimarkets are found to be suitable based on the road network. The distribution pattern of minimarkets in Padang Barat District is random, with a T value of 0.949561, a z-score of -0.442191, and a significance value of p 0.658351.
