Abstract

The rapid transition to the Society 5.0 era demands educational institutions to adapt to digital-based information openness. SMP Negeri 1 Bojonggede, despite having a solid academic reputation and numerous student achievements, faces significant challenges in digital visibility. Currently, information dissemination relies on conventional methods such as physical notice boards and instant messaging groups, which are limited in reach and ineffective for public branding. This community service aims to bridge this gap by developing a professional school profile website as a digital showcase of achievements and a centralized information medium. The development method used is the Waterfall software engineering model, which includes requirements analysis, system design, coding implementation, and testing. The result of this activity is the availability of a responsive website accessible at smpn1bojonggede.sch.id, equipped with a comprehensive Content Management System (CMS). Furthermore, technical training for school staff has been conducted to ensure the sustainability of content management. This digitalization initiative successfully transforms the school's promotional flow, allowing for wider, real-time, and structured public access to information.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology requires students to possess adaptive skills, particularly in building effective personal branding. Personal branding plays an important role in enhancing students’ competitiveness in both academic and professional environments. This report discusses the optimization of students’ personal branding through the development of a Curriculum Vitae (CV) website as a professional, informative, and easily accessible digital medium. The methods used include observation, design, and implementation of a CV website by utilizing simple web technologies tailored to students’ needs. The results indicate that the CV website helps students present their personal identity, competencies, experiences, and portfolios in a structured and attractive manner. Furthermore, the use of a CV website increases students’ self-confidence and readiness to face further education opportunities and job selection processes. Therefore, the development of a CV website can be considered an effective solution for optimizing students’ personal branding in the digital era.

Abstract

The development of the creative economy requires young generations to have good financial management skills to support productive activities based on hobbies. However, many students have creative potential but still lack understanding of basic financial management. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to improve students’ knowledge and skills in managing personal finances and developing productive hobbies into economic opportunities. The methods used include observation, financial literacy education, simple financial recording training, business capital simulation, and discussion of productive hobby ideas. The results show an increase in students' understanding of financial management, ability to record income and expenses, and awareness of hobby-based business opportunities. This program is expected to support the development of student independence and contribute to strengthening the creative economy sector.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the digital marketing capabilities of Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) traders through content promotion strategies. The main problems faced by PKH traders are limited knowledge and skills in utilizing social media as a marketing tool. The methods used include socialization, digital content creation training, and hands-on assistance using social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook. The results show an increase in participants’ understanding and ability to independently create promotional content. This activity is expected to enhance market reach and economic independence of PKH traders.

Abstract

Historically, cloves were one of the main spices that drove international trade routes and the arrival of Europeans to the Indonesian archipelago. Cloves remain a crucial commodity today, particularly for the clove cigarette, pharmaceutical, food, beverage, and essential oil industries. Drying cloves is a crucial stage in the post-harvest process, aimed at reducing water content and improving product quality. This clove drying machine socialization aims to accelerate clove production in Buttu Bartong village, addressing the energy needs of clove drying machines with various heating elements: electric, gas, and biomass heaters. The method used is socialization of clove drying machines with various heating elements to accelerate clove harvest production in Buttu Bartong village. Electric heaters provide more stable temperature control, while gas heaters show lower operational costs. This socialization is expected to provide recommendations regarding optimal drying systems, which are not only energy efficient but also economical, thus supporting the sustainability of optimal clove processing production.

Abstract

Digital transformation requires local governments to deliver public information effectively, precisely, and with a strong identity. The Purbalingga Regency Communications and Informatics Office (Dinkominfo) plays a strategic role in managing public communications through various digital products. However, the challenges faced include suboptimal target market (audience) determination and branding strategies for government digital products, resulting in low information delivery effectiveness and public engagement. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to improve the understanding and capabilities of Dinkominfo officials in determining target audiences and building branding for local government digital products. The method used was community education with a participatory approach, implemented through interactive lectures, discussions, and simple simulations based on real-world problems. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the concept of audience segmentation and the basic principles of digital product branding, both quantitatively and qualitatively. Participants also demonstrated active participation and were able to formulate initial strategies contextualized to their work conditions. This activity demonstrates the effectiveness of community education with a participatory approach in increasing the capacity of local government officials. This PKM activity is expected to support more strategic public communications management and strengthen the image of local government in the digital era.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has transformed educational processes and digital interaction in society. Computer networking knowledge, particularly Local Area Network (LAN), is an important foundation for understanding internet infrastructure. However, junior high school students often have limited technical knowledge regarding network systems. This community service activity aimed to introduce basic computer networking concepts through LAN testing implementation at SMPI Hidayatul Athfal. The methods used included theoretical explanation, practical cable making, LAN simulation, and network connectivity testing. Evaluation was carried out through observation and learning assessment. The results showed improved student understanding regarding network components, internet connectivity, and practical networking skills. This activity contributes to improving digital literacy and supports schools in implementing practical technology-based learning.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to improve disaster-information literacy among employees of Mercure Jakarta Gatot Subroto Hotel by training the use of the official InfoBMKG mobile application. Hotels in dense urban areas are highly exposed to hydrometeorological hazards, air‑quality deterioration, and seismic events, while frontline staff often lack the skills to access and interpret real‑time official data. The program used a one‑day interactive workshop (40% theory; 60% practice) followed by one week of online mentoring. Thirty employees from Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Security participated. Evaluation applied a pre‑test/post‑test, direct performance observation during hands‑on sessions, and a satisfaction questionnaire. Results show a substantial increase in knowledge: the average score rose from 45.6% (pre‑test) to 82.3% (post‑test), exceeding the 35% improvement target. Participants’ confidence in making operational decisions based on weather, air‑quality, and earthquake information also increased markedly. A key output was the revision of the Hotel Safety SOP by integrating BMKG early‑warning procedures and establishing an internal dissemination channel via WhatsApp; the average response time to alerts decreased from around 2 hours to 25 minutes. The program demonstrates that practical, context‑based training on government digital services can strengthen operational resilience and service quality in the hospitality sector.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman serta kesadaran pelajar mengenai pemanfaatan hobi dan keterampilan pribadi sebagai potensi ekonomi yang menjanjikan melalui pendekatan ekonomi kreatif. Fokus utama kegiatan ini adalah memberikan wawasan baru bahwa kegemaran sehari-hari dapat ditransformasikan menjadi sumber pendapatan yang produktif bagi generasi muda. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan secara langsung di SMAIT An Nawawi Al Bantani, sebuah institusi pendidikan berbasis pondok pesantren yang menerapkan kebijakan pembatasan penggunaan perangkat digital atau gadget dalam proses pembelajarannya. Kondisi lingkungan yang non-digital tersebut justru menjadi peluang strategis untuk mengoptimalkan kreativitas manual dan keterampilan interpersonal siswa. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan edukatif dan partisipatif yang komprehensif, mencakup penyampaian materi secara sistematis serta sesi diskusi interaktif yang melibatkan peserta secara aktif. Materi yang dipaparkan meliputi pengenalan mendalam tentang konsep ekonomi kreatif, teknik identifikasi potensi diri, serta strategi praktis dalam mengembangkan hobi agar memiliki nilai ekonomi dan daya saing. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada aspek pemahaman konseptual dan motivasi pelajar. Para siswa kini mampu memandang hobi bukan sekadar pengisi waktu luang, melainkan sebagai aset penting untuk membangun kemandirian ekonomi dan jiwa kewirausahaan di masa depan.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (KPPM) that has been implemented has had a positive impact on the community, particularly in raising awareness about the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness. Through this program, the people of Pardomuan Village—especially the youth—have gained a deeper understanding of the importance of keeping the environment clean as an integral part of daily life. As a result of this activity, the community has become more active in mutual cooperation and in working together with the local government to create a waste-free environment. Considering that environmental cleanliness is both a right and a shared necessity in maintaining a healthy environment, it is hoped that similar activities can be carried out sustainably to provide long-term benefits for both the local community and visiting tourists.
