Abstract

Poverty is identified with laziness and lack of community entrepreneurship, even though this perspective is not entirely true. In fact the statement "The Sumba People Are Lazy" denied by the people themselves. But why conditions have not really changed, even though assistance through poverty alleviation programs continues. The spirit of social entrepreneurship actually arises from some people who are actually ordinary people, they only have dreams that the people around him live better lives. Poverty must bethrown away, and the people must throw it away themselves. The church is one of theinstitutions in the community, which every week interacts with the congregation. Basedon the background above, the problem of this research is that the paradigm / mindset ofthe community addresses the life and livelihood that they have lived so far. There aretwo focus issues; 1) How to change the paradigm/mindset of the community? 2) Howmuch increase in people's income after experiencing a paradigm / mindset change? Thisstudy aims to find out 1) paradigm/mindset changes that occur in the community, and 2)Increased income of the people of Kamalapia village. Analysis tools are lineardevelopment analysis and free trend analysis. This study concludes that, 1) There hasbeen a development of paradigm/mindset changes in Kamalapia society for somepeople, that work will change their lives, and giving starts becomes a new habit forthem, namely through tithing and activity participation, so that there is a paradigm shifttowards abundant mentality, 2) There is an increase in family income that occursduring 6 months of assistance in stages up to 500 percent, from Rp. 300,000, to Rp.1,500,000.

Abstract

East Sumba is one area known as a woven fabric, where most weavers are women (housewives) (Takandjandji, 2016). The products produced are various types of fabrics, namely Hinggi, which is a traditional men's clothing in the form of long cloth, lawu or sarong which is a traditional garment for women, and also a scarf worn by men and women by means of shoulder bagging. Analysis of the role of using Mosser's work consists of 3 roles (productive, reproductive, and social), where women have a large role in increasing family income. The role is inseparable from the control of men (husbands). The ikat weaving business is very helpful in improving the household economy

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is a well-known concept in economic knowledge for long time and has very important role in country’s development. However, this is applicable for micro, small and average business which is realized to help a business with its progress and failure. The spirit, attitude or behavior or anything related to entrepreneurship will help a business to develop. If there is no such attitude, then the business will fail (not develop well). This research focus on the influence of entrepreneurship to the ability of development micro-business (UMK) Kota Waingapu sub-district (study in a sub-district in Kota Waingapu sub-regency). Entrepreneurship in this research will focus on 3 aspects, that is, ability or innovation efforts, ability or brave to take risk and ability to take and use new opportunity.The research result shows that just the ability or brave to take risk and the ability to take and use new opportunity that have significant influence to the ability of micro-bussiness to develop well in Kamalaputih sub-district. So this thing should be maintained and improved. While the ability or innovation effort has no significant influence to the ability to develop of UMK in Kamalaputih sub-district. Abstract

Poverty is an issue that involves many aspects of life because it is usually associated with low income, illiteracy, poor health status and inequality between the sexes and poor environment. The problem of poverty can not be solved separately from the problems of unemployment, education, health and other social issues that explicitly closely related to the poverty. This study examines the influence of education and unemployment on poverty in East Nusa Tenggara. The purpose of this study is expected to analyze how and how deeply the influence of the variables of education and unemployment on poverty in East Nusa Tenggara and thus expected to be used as instrument in determining policy in addressing the problem of poverty in East Nusa Tenggara. The data used in this research is secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). While the methods of analysis used in this study is the method of linear regression analysis of data panel with REM method by the help of software Eviews 6. The results of this study indicate that the educational variables that to measure the person’s ability to read and write has a significant negative effect on the level of poverty, while unemployment has variable positive and significant impact on poverty levels in East Nusa Tenggara.

Abstract

The development of investment in Indonesia increased rapidly, so it needs to do research related to investment in Indonesia, so it can be useful for decision makers both from the investor (financial community) and the company. Efficient capital market is one of the interesting financial topics to be studied, especially investors and companies desperately need it for better and more informed decision making. In Indonesia alone, research on the efficiency of the capital market has been done is still simple or not robustness. So this study aims to test the form of capital market efficiency in Indonesia.Using a sample of 34 firms and using autocorrelation regression techniques, the results show that capital markets in Indonesia are efficient (weak form), this is indicated by the absence of a relationship between stock prices within the firm. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether PBV and stock’s liquidity have influence toward firms to perform stock split and the effect of stock split towards market’s value. Stock’s liquidity is measured by Trading Volume Activity while market’s value is measured by Toin’s Q. This research uses financial performance (Earnings per Share) as a control variable. The methods used is purposive in which in this study obtained 31 splitting firms and 31 non splitting firms during period 2005-2009. The analysis tools used in this study are logistic regression and paired t-test. The result shows that trading volume has negative influence toward firms to perform stock split. Also, the result shows that there are differences in market’s value after and before they perform stock split based on Tobin’s q.Keywords : Stock Split, Price to Book Value, Trading Volume, Earning per Share and Tobin’s q.

Abstract

The case of human trafficking in the NTT has become an unresolved case. Most of the cases of human trafficking in NTT are migrant workers. Human trafficking cases are affected by the actors involved in the network of problems. ANT (Actor-Network Theory) is used as a review to describe the various roles of actors in human trafficking networks and is used to find the point of the problem of human trafficking cases in NTT. The results of this study indicate an indication of the involvement of actors of human trafficking groups participating in trafficking networks. And poverty is a major factor in the rise and fall of human trafficking in NTT. And poverty is a major factor in the unstoppable of human trafficking in NTT. The results of this study also led to the solution of economic empowerment as a way out of poverty to end human trafficking cases in NTT.

Abstract

Makalah ini membahas pentingnya memiliki kompetensi komunikatif antarbudaya untuk pengajaran dan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Pertama, makalah ini membahas tentang metode dan pendekatan pengajaran dan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Sebagian besar pendekatan dan metode pembelajaran berfokus pada kompetensi linguistik, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan dan cenderung meremehkan hal-hal budaya. Kedua, makalah ini membahas intercultural communication competence (ICC). Bagian ini berbicara tentang definisi kompetensi komunikatif antarbudaya, keterampilan yang dibutuhkan untuk komunikasi antarbudaya yang sukses, dan elemen penting ICC, misalnya. pengetahuan, keterampilan, motivasi, dan tindakan. Selajutnya, makalah ini membahas integrasi ICC ke dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Proses integrasi dapat membantu siswa untuk memperoleh kompetensi linguistik dan antarbudaya, dan membantu mereka berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris yang benar dalam situasi kehidupan nyata yang sesuai, dan meningkatkan kesadaran akan perbedaan budaya dalam nilai, norma, perilaku, dan cara berpikir. Hal lainnya, siswa dapat berpikiran terbuka, menghargai, dan sadar akan perbedaan budaya.

Abstract

Facts about poverty and unemployment show a great need for financial services among low-income communities. Therefore, it needs savings and loan activities for people with low incomes. Microfinance institutions exist to help the poor and small businesses so that they can help themselves.One of the Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs) that exist in East Sumba is a cooperative (koperasi) made up of different community backgrounds, such as Civil Servants (PNS), Ethnics, farmers, traders, Fishermen, Private Employees and others.This study aims to examine the background of the formation of cooperatives (koperasi) and UBSP, lending process, and strategies to solve the problems of bad debts. This study uses qualitative descriptive method.The results show that:The background of establishing Micro finance isntitution (LKM) in East Sumba is emerging from the community's initiative with originally started with the work of government and NGO programs.Distributing credits / loans were made during the regular meetings held every monthBad creditscan be minimized by always having regular meetings every month and the sanctions that have been agreed.Keywords: Micro Finance Institutions, Credit, Cooperative (koperasi)

Abstract

Material (Ius) is a reality that does not appear in law while Formal (Leges) is a realitythat appears in law. These two elements one form a unite called law, cannot beseparated. The reality of materia and form in law is also identicaly with the integrationof mind and body that exist in human integrity as a person. This study describes therelations between these two realities philosophically way. This research is a legalresearch based on library research and uses a philosophical approach.
