APIC Journal of Education and Training Medan Religious Training Center is a six-month periodical journal published by Balai Diklat Keagamaan Medan (Training Center for Education and Religious Technical Personnel), under the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Republic of Indonesia. The journal is aimed to disseminate the results of research/study on approaches, models, strategies, methods, media, learning innovations and development of teaching materials that improving the quality of training for educational and religious technical personnel. APIC was first published in printed form in 2018. It is published frequently twice a year, in June and December.

Abstract

This paper describes enhancement in teacher performance in implementing the learning process, after academic supervision is carried out. Transformation in the form of attendance, fulfillment of work tools, time discipline, use of media, and teaching skills are indicators of this. The method used for research is qualitative with quantitative data collection and analysis techniques, and Classroom Action Research approach. The number of teachers used as a sample was 20 people, and the results obtained showed that after the research was carried out in cycle I and cycle II, a total of 85% sampled for 10 aspects of the assessment increased their performance. This data shows the achievement of the successful implementation of supervisory academic supervision of PAIBP teachers.

Abstract

The aim of this research is (1) to know the implementation strategy of Problem Based Learning (PBL) that is used to improve mathematically ability students in the Linear Progamming (2) to know the increasing of mathematically ability students in the Linear Progamming in class XI-IPA SMA Islam Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan T.A 2016/2017 after the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) material Linear Progamming in class XI-IPA SMA Islam Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan T.A 2016/2017. Subjects in this research were students of class XI-IPA SMA Islam Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan T.A 2016/2017 totaling 38 students and the object of this study is used to improve mathematically ability students in the Linear Progamming in class XI-IPA SMA Islam Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan T.A 2016/2017. The research instrument used is observation, tests and documentation. From the test mathematically ability results, it can be concluded that the implementation strategy of Problem Based Learning (PBL) that is used to improve mathematically ability students in the Linear Progamming in class XI-IPA SMA Islam Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan T.A 2016/2017.

Abstract

This research aims to know how the relation of primary School 050772 Pangkalan Susu. The sample of this research 30 student where 21% taken  of 141 students. This research uses data collection tool in the form of Likert scale. Questioner is compiled based on variabel and tested to  respondent that is not research sample. Data analysis process is conducted by using quantitative approach through three steps, they are: 1. Describing research variabel data. 2. Testing requirements analysis. 3. Testing hypotesis to reveal the relation the relation beetween research variables using correlation analysis technique. Based on data analysis result and testing process, then the conclusion is (1) the school culture has positive relation with student’s character of primary school 050772 Pangkalan Susu. This case is proved that the correlation r (0,504) > r table (0,3061) while the significance is 0,004 < 0,05; (2) the teacher’s example has positive relation with student’s character of primary School 050772 Pangkalan Susu where correlation coeficient r (0,603) > r table (0,3061) with significncy 0,006, it is fewer than 0,05; (3) School Culture and teacher’s example has positive ration with student’s character of primary school 050772 Pangkalan Susu where correlation coefisiency r (0,662) > r table (0,3061), testing result F shows that F count (10,506) > F table (3,35) while significancy < 0,05 that is 0,000. Based on the research above, it can be stated that student’s character can be formed through school culture and teacher ’s example.

Abstract

Pregnant marriage due to adultery has consequences that have an impact on the validity of marriage and the civil status of the child born. The discourse on pregnant marriage and adultery continues to be a never-ending conversation. Is it permissible for a man to marry a woman who is pregnant? How about the civil rights of children who are born? On whom was the lineage leaned? Is he entitled to inherit his mother's father's property? Does the husband of the mother have the right to be the guardian of marriage? Different perspectives cause differences in addressing the problem of pregnant marriage and adultery. This study seeks to reveal the problem of pregnant marriage and its implications for children born, from the perspective of the Compilation of Islamic Law as a product of Indonesian jurisprudence, also looking at positive law and studying it in the perspective of Islamic law, then providing analysis and comparisons from these various points of view.

Abstract

The objectives of this research : (1) to study the influence of teaching by open-ended approach to the creative thinking capability of student, (2) to study the influence of learning motivation to the creative thinking capability of student, (3) to study whether there is  or not interaction between the learning approach by student learning motivation in influence the creative thinking capability of student. This research is a quasi experiment that conducted at SMP Swasta Dharma Bakti Lubuk Pakam (Private Junior High School). The sample for experiment and control groups were took by random sampling. The sample of research is 58 students that consist of from the Grade VII for 30 student as experiment class and from Grade VIIb for 28 students as control class.  Variables in this research is  learning approach that consist of open-ended approach and expository as active independent variable and student learning motivation that consist of higher, medium, lower learning motivation as moderator variable, creative thinking capability of student as dependent variable. The applied instrument in this research are (1) creative thinking capability test, (2) questioner of learning motivation.  While instrument in this research to measure the creative thinking capability of student is a essay test with 5 test item and reliability coefficient is 0.829 (higher) The data of student learning motivation was collected by questionnaire with 30 items that adopted from Sembiring. Before  the implementation of analysis method, its analysis requirement is tested by normality and homogeneity test. Normality is tested by Liliefors test while homogeneity is tested by  Barlett test (data processing by SPSS 20). The method of data analysis is Anova with two path on significant level α = 0.05 that continued by Scheffee test. The teaching instrument are (1) Teaching Implementation plan (RPP), (2) Student Activity test, (3) Book of Student.  The test of problem solving is  essay test focused to the creativity. The data in this research is analyzed by using descriptive statistic analysis and inferential analysis. The descriptive analysis is aimed to describe the creative thinking capability, learning motivation of student and student activity in teaching learning process. While the inferential statistic analysis is used to study whether there is a difference in the creative thinking capability of student that taught by open ended approach and the student taught by expository approach. The results of research indicated that (1) there is a difference in creative thinking capability of student who taught by open-ended approach to the student  who taught by expository approach. The student taught by open ended approach have a student creative thinking capability with that higher than student whoi taught by expository approach with ; it get Fcalculated = 124.44 > Ftable = 4.01; (2) there is a difference in creative thinking capability between student with the higher, medium and lower learning motivation. The average of student cretive thinking capability with the higher learning motivation  is higher than student with the medium learning motivation  and higher than student with the lower learning motivation  in which Fcalculated = 143.869 > Ftabgle = 3.16. Based on the data analysis is concluded that the student creative thinking capability that taught by open ended approach is higher than student that taught by expository approach.  According to the characteristics of student, the student creative thinking capability with the higher learning motivation is higher than student with the medium learning motivation and higher than student with the lower learning motivation.

Abstract

The research aims to describe the effectiveness policy at Balai Diklat Keagamaan Medan. The location of the research was conducted at Balai DIklat Keagamaan Medan, which is located at Jalan TB Simatupang No. 122 Medan. The problem raised in this research such as assets that move around the room without the knowledge of the manager of state property so that their whereabouts are not known which has an impact on assets management records that do not address real data in the field and state property managers who still have very minimal human resources and lack of human resources as users related to the administration of state property. This research uses qualitative research methods. It is used in a study to obtain a qualitative description and will be dominated by words, sentences, and descriptions and rarely uses numerical data. In discussing the existing problems, the writers use Campbell and Duncan’s theory of effectiveness. The result of the study shows that there are problems that make the policy of administering state property ineffective due to the lack of inventory implementation and the lack of resources for managing state-owned goods so that a better understanding of the policy of administering state-owned goods will have a significant impact on improving the administration of state-owned goods so that resulting in a more effective administration of state-owned goods.

Abstract

Tulisan ini merupakan hasil penelitian lapangan terkait pengembangan kurikulum Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka di Perguruan Tinggi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian adalah bagaimana konsep dasar pengembangan kurikulum di perguruan tinggi dan bagaimana pengembangan kurikulum Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka di Perguruan Tinggi. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah  Toeri Merdeka Belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan kurikulum di perguruan Tinggi merupakan sebuah keharusan, ditengah perkembangan teknologi, dan kemajuan dunia industri, serta tuntutan kerja.

Abstract

Management science in facilitating the millennial generation in creativity, to get authentic and in-depth results using triangulation methods and using qualitative analysis with a case study approach that optimizes the role of the researcher as a key instrument, in this study, it was found that creativity of the millennial generation develops along with the availability of infrastructure, in the field of education, school management makes the science of infrastructure management as a stimulus for the creativity of students who are actually millennial groups.

Abstract

The training process held by the Medan Religious Education and Training Center (BDK) is still carried out using the classical method, it means that training process can be established on the condition that there is a meeting between committee, participants and lecturers in a class. The Covid-19 pandemic, which has not ended until now, means that using classical training cannot be done optimally. Therefore, distance training method (E-Learning) was developed as a solution to the that problem. To support the successful implementation of the training, a web-based system for distance training process is needed as a media between committee, participants and lecturers. The Web-based system using Learning Management System (LMS) Moodle version 3.10.7. The method of system design uses the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach with the Waterfall method. It is recommended that a Distance Training System be provided with technical instructions for using the system.

Abstract

This study discusses the competence of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers in the use of technology and information in learning with competency indicators being the ICT training curriculum for madrasa teachers compiled by the Jakarta Education and Religious Technical Training Center. This study aims to determine the competence and problems of Islamic boarding school teachers in the use of information and communication technology in online learning during this covid 19 period. This study uses a case study with all teachers as respondents at MIN 4 Langkat. The research method used in this research is a survey method using a questionnaire that is shared via a google form. Analysis of the data used is a descriptive analysis that describes the qualifications of teacher competence in the use of ICT into four levels, namely very low, low, medium, and high. From the results of the data that has been analyzed, it was found that the competence of teachers in ICT is very low in the ability to use and utilize applications, which is 52%. Furthermore, a very low indicator is found in the experience aspect of participating in training at 57%. This shows that training activities are the most dominant factor causing the low competence of teachers in the use of ICT in learning and therefore the most effective solution to overcome them.
