Abstract

The enforcement of law in Indonesia has become less equitable these days. Law enforcement tends to ignore justice, whereas justice should be a basic and legal reality. The judiciary as the main institution in law enforcement will lose its function when the law is perceived as an institution that can be manipulated, commercialized, and some legal experts have referred to it as the territory of the jurisdictional mafia. The jurisdictional mafia protects itself by referring to legal supremacy. However, in order to achieve the rule of law, justice and utility are compromised. This research aims to identfy the theoretical analysis and practical implementation of criminal law enforcement through the perspective of community justice. This research used normative methods, with a conceptual and statutory approach. The result indicated that there is a crisis in the implementation of justice, especially in the implementation of law enforcement, due to the existence of an invalid paradigm among those who enforce the law. In addition, the law enforcement officials, especially judges, tend only implement the law in a literal manner. Furthermore, law enforcement apparatus has not completely comprehended that the main purpose of equitable law enforcement is to create law to realize human welfare and harmony.

Abstract

Logistics and transportation are becoming increasingly significant in international trade relations as a means of promoting growth by enabling the export and import of goods in developing and developed countries. Hence, this study employs a logistic case study of Cambodia, providing detailed information about logistics performance, services, and capacity. Additionally, this study utilizes the strategy-structure-performance framework to investigate factors influencing a firm’s logistics service innovation capabilities and customer satisfaction, as well as the firm’s resource-based outlook through structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis. From December 2022 to February 2023, a self-administered survey with a structured questionnaire was used to collect data from 396 wholesalers in SMEs with relevant experience in using logistic services in Cambodia to examine the hypothesized relationships. According to the findings, key factors of demanded-oriented service, process capability, information process, and logistic service quality positively impacted to a firm’s logistic service and its innovation capability and customer satisfaction (Coef=0.96), while the other three research variables, customer orientation, physical supply flexibility, demand management flexibility, logistic service quality, and process competence, have a significant impact on logistic service innovation. This means that logistic services and innovation are very vital to satisfy the customers and growth in Cambodia.

Abstract

The use of smartphones is immense and continues to increase, causing new problems to emerge, especially in health. The increasing intensity of smartphone use also has an impact on daily life. Individuals who are dependent on their cell phones and feel anxious if the cell phone is not nearby are known as Nomophobia or No Mobile Phone Phobia. This research aims to determine the influence between self-control and loneliness with nomophobia tendencies in teenagers. The subjects of this research were early teenagers with a range of ages 12-15 years, totaling 163 subjects. The sampling technique used the g-power application with an effect size of 0.3, power 0.90 and error prob 0.05. Using the SPSS IBM25 Windows application, the data analysis method included multiple regression analysis. The findings of this research suggest that the first hypothesis which claims that there is a tendency between self-control and loneliness and nomophobia in teenagers is accepted. The second hypothesis which states that there is a relationship between self-control and nomophobia in teenagers is acceptable. The third hypothesis which argues that there is a relationship between loneliness and nomophobia in teenagers is accepted.

Abstract

A person or legal entity can assume responsibility for hazardous and toxic waste (HTW) management. The Environmental Protection and Management Law (UUPLH) aims to protect the environment from pollution, including HTW. This waste is generated from industrial or human activities that pose a great potential for environmental damage and threats to the lives of the living. Therefore, HTW should be managed properly to prevent pollution that endangers the ecosystem. Business actors or communities that are unable to manage HTW independently can seek the assistance of third parties who have expertise in the management of such waste. This collaboration is necessary to assure that HTW is managed effectively, in accordance with applicable regulations, thus avoiding additional risks to the environment and public health. This research aims to increase awareness of the importance of HTW management and the inherent responsibilities of the parties involved. This research adopts a normative juridical approach, which refers to regulations, legal concepts, and relevant literature studies. Drawing on secondary data obtained from relevant literature and regulations related to HTW, this research highlights the importance of HTW management in preventing threats to the environment and ensuring the sustainability of the living environment. The findings of this research suggest that proper HTW management is key to protecting the environment from the dangers of pollution and supporting the sustainability of ecosystems and human welfare in the future.
