Abstract

The purpose of this study to analyze the factors affecting the intentions of alumni who are willing to assist their university, whether financial or non-financial. The intentions of alumni are consequences of satisfaction and trust, where satisfaction and trust are the mediating variables of academic experience, current income, relation and agency image. The study was conducted through a survey method that included 250 respondents living in Jakarta, with middle and upper class economic levels. The sampling technique used is proportionate stratified random sampling. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to analyze the data. The finding from this study is the antecedent factors of satisfaction and trust including academic experience, income, relationships, and institution image that are proven to be positive and significantly influential in satisfaction and trust, partially or simultaneously. The behavior intention as a consequence of trust and satisfaction are found to be positive and significant although only moderate. Based on the findings, Indonesian higher education has to improve student’s satisfaction and trust through improvement of academic experience, relationship and institution image because the alumni will measure their satisfaction based on their current income. Therefore, for further research it is advisable to explore motivational factor, family education values and cultural factors as antecedents of behavior intention.

Abstract

The background of this study is to analyze the effect of transformational leadership and organizational justice on employee performance through employee reaction. The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of transformational leadership and organizational justice to employee performance through employee reaction in Trisakti Dental Hospital. The design of this research is hypothesis testing using primary data obtained by distributing 200 questionnaires to employees of Trisakti Dental Hospital. The analytical method used is Structure Equation Model (SEM). The result of this research concludes that there is no significant and negative relation between transformational leadership and employee reaction. There is a significant and positive relation between organizational justice and employee reactions. There is a significant and positive relation between employee reactions and employee performance.

Abstract

This research analyzed the effects of service quality and customer experience to customer satisfaction and its impact on purchase intention of costumer internet services in West Jakarta. This research used hypothesis testing as a research design. The primary data were obtained through questionnaire distributed to 180 respondents who should be users of internet services from Telkomsel, Telkomsel Grapari West Jakarta. Data was anlyzed by Structural Equation Method (SEM). The results showed there were positives service qualities and customer experience effects to customer satisfaction. There were positive customer satisfaction effects to purchase intention. There were positive effects of service quality and customer experience to purchase intention. Implications for managers are to increase purchase intention through fulfilled customer satisfaction led from good service quality and customer experience. For reasearch, it can be done in other service providers and by adding extra variables, such as coporate image and brand trust.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of store environment on impulse buying behavior with emotional states as intervening variable using Mehrabian-Russell’s model. The store environment variables in this study include time availability, atmospheric factors, presence of others, and perceived crowdness. Using Mehrabian-Russell’s model, it is hypothesized that emotional state mediates the effects of store environment variables on impulse buying behavior as a dependent variable. The object in this study is Matahari Department Store in Yogyakarta. Sample of 166 respondents were selected by using purposive sampling method. Data were collected by using field survey technique. Normality, validity and reliability tests were conducted to test the quality of research instruments. The data analysis was conducted by using multiple linear regressions to test the research hypothesis. Results showed that atmospheric factors. as predicted, positively affect the emotional states. While perceived crowdness, consistent to the hypothesis, negatively affect the emotional states. The emotional states also positively affects the impulse buying behavior. The hypothesis of time availability and presence of others were not supported in this research. The findings of this research indicate that creating a proper atmospheric factors and creating a convenience store lay out to avoid crowdness are essential to stimulate impulse buying behavior.

Abstract

The objective of the study was to analyze the growth of the number of domestic passengers in Indonesia based on emprical data of the last 12 years to forecast the number of domestic passenger for 2016-2021 by using panel data modeling with random effects model technique. The research using independent variable air traffic, ticket prices and per capita income has never been done in the Indonesia’s aviation industry, but research with the same model ever done in the industry of electrical household. The results of the study are useful for strategic planning for companies in developing the market and government of Republic of Indonesia to determine the right public policies needed to support the aviation industry development which able to accelerate economic growth, ensure the safety and convenient of air transport passengers and the sustainability of aviation industry. The results of this study indicate that the variable number of air traffic can be explained by ninety one point eleven percent by variable number of air traffic, yield and per capita income and has a close relationship to the number of domestic passengers in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study uses credibility, informative, hedonic/ pleasure and good for economy to analyze the effect of the consumers' attitude towards advertising. Methodology of data collection is done by attitude scale using questioner with the number of respondents as many as 300 sheets distributed. The results showed that credibility, informative, hedonic/ pleasure and good for economy simultaneously have significant effect on the consumers' attitude towards advertising. Credibility has positive and significant effect on consumers' attitude towards advertising. Informative has positive and significant effect on the consumers' attitude towards advertising. Hedonic/ pleasure has positive and significant effect on the consumers' attitude towards advertising. Good for economy has positive and significant effect on the consumers' attitude towards advertising.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of philanthropy responsibility and ethical responsibility towards customer purchase behavior and customer loyalty on fast food restaurants. The research was conducted by using quantitative research design and hypothetical testing to explore philanthropic responsibility, ethical responsibility, customer purchase behavior, and customer loyalty variables. Samples were taken from 186 respondents of employee population in Jakarta. Structural equation modeling was used in order to test the proposed hypotheses. Research result showed the positive and significant impact of philanthropic responsibility towards customer purchase behavior. On contrary, there was no positive ethical responsibility impact found towards customer purchase behavior. These findings are supported by the fact that the majority of consumers purchased fast food base on impulsive buying and not driven by the fast food restaurants ethically responsible behavior. However, the research does show a positive and significant impact of customer purchase behavior on customer loyalty. Further research recommendation should be taken from more respondents in a broader population area. Companies are suggested to approach a strategic and relevant caused-related marketing and caused promotions in relation to philanthropy responsibility to increase customer purchase behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and measure the influence of knowledge management process on job performance mediated by knowledge management performance. The number of non managerial employees amounted 112 people as respondents. The method to collecting the data uses census by distributing questionnaires to all respondents. The design of the study is hypothesis testing with structural equation modeling (SEM) as a tool of analysis. The findings are that the knowledge management process has a positive influence on knowledge management performance, knowledge management performance has a positive influence on job performance, knowledge management process has positive effect on job performance, and knowledge management process has positive effect on job performance mediated by knowledge management performance. Managerial implications are the departments in which employees work should appreciate employees who provide new ideas and knowledge to the company. In addition, the management should provide an opportunity for employees to share knowledge with other employees and solve existing problems.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effect of job demands on turnover intention with job stress as mediating variable on employees that have been working less than sixth years. Sampling method used is the purposive-non probability sampling, where 100 employees of head office PT. Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk were taken as respondents. Method of data analysis used is path analysis, the simple mediation model. Data were processed with macro and syntax from Preacher-Hayes 2013. The results of this study indicates that the effect of job demands on turnover intention was not mediated by job stress. Job demands and job stress influence significantly toward turnover intention, but job demands have no significant impact on job stress.

Abstract

This study tries to focus on testing about political skills as moderating variable to the relationship between demographic similarity especially ethnic and the quality of leader-member exchange. This study used the survey method and using by questionnaires. From the questionnaire spread as many as 500, the number of questionnaire can be processed are 364 (the respond rate 72,8 % ). The research is done in four institutions in two cities in Jakarta and Yogyakarta. Variables in this study were variable independent used of similarity ethnic between leaders and subordinate. Their dependent variable is the quality of leader-member exchange. Next, the relationship between the two the variable is moderated by political skill as moderating variable. The analysis was conducted using regression analysis and the hierarchical regression. The outcome of this study suggests that there is a positive correlation between the demographic similarity of superior-subordinate specialty ethnicity and the quality of leader-member exchange. Then, the interesting thing about the research is correlation between the demographic similarity of superior-subordinate specialty ethnicity and the leader-member exchange moderated by political skills. But there is an interesting one, that is the connection between a demographic similarity (ethic) and the leader-member exchange moderated by the political skills has negative effect. Furthermore, discussion, the implications and many recommendation of this study are discussed in this study.
